Looks really interesting. I just couldn’t pull the trigger because I chose a MoonSwatch and Venezianico Ultraback instead. Plus I feel like there will be many more 9075 micro options within the next couple years .
Great review and watch. Size seems boarderline large. Really like the overall style and handset, would be a versatile watch. 3 changes would make it perfect: 1) 100 meter water resistance 2) the date window at the 6:00 position for symmetry and 3) date wheel color matched to the dial. I'm still seriously considering this one.
Well done review. Especially highlighting the downside of the movement. I don’t see buying this brand with the issues you highlighted! Thanks for saving me money!
Nice looking watch. I like what miyota has done here with the movement. I think it is much better than the new Seiko GMT and the sellita's GMT. I also prefers it over the Tudor GMT because it's much slimmer. Power reserve is not a big deal for me. I have a hamilton with 80 hr power reserve and it doesn't add any value for me. In fact, I dislike the slower beat compensation for more power reserve. For me, even 38 hr on a regular selitta does the job. At the end, I can't expect all the high tech and power at this price range.
Miyota dude. I went and I bought pre owned a Longines Zulu Time for $1800 off Chrono24. IMO this is a lot better watch than the Miyota generics. But, this is my thing.
I'm a massive Longines fan, and I agree that the Zulu time is gorgeous, but the jumping hour mechanism just failed on my Longines Swissair Worldtimer. Easy to fix - if you can get parts (you can't). That put me off the Zulu I was going to get and instead I bought one of these. I can grab a spare 9075 for £100 from Cousins. You've got a great watch there - enjoy it and I wish you all the best!
As an owners of true gmt in longines zulu time and seiko ssk003 Batman which is a caller gmt I can’t see the va,he if this over the seiko which has original design nice dial color play and 100m water resistance and can be had now for around 350 new
Reading the title 'significant progress' I honestly thought you'd be talking about Marloe. While that may seem unkind, Marloe has been o my radar for years but never made it into my collection. Some years back there were several designs that interested me, but then there have been many in the interim that made me feel the brand was moving in a direction I didn't care for much. There's been a gold(tone) watch that is attractive, and now this GMT, after having seen a fast growing number of microbrand GMTs with this movement, this Marloe GMT rightfully claims its spot as one of the most attractive, if not the most attractive among those. Heck, this one I'd consider down to its design language, details, and choices more so than because it is a GMT watch. But, at over 42mm diameter? Especially with a rotating bezel, this is going to be too large for me.
Yes, I wondered if it would feel too big for my 5.5 inch wrist but it is very comfortable and is not intrusive. Really enjoying its functions, very useful!
Nice looking watch. I see you are also scheduled to be on Oisin’s SWaT chat tomorrow. I’ve been waiting for this one. wondering why it took so long for you two connect.
I've streamed with him only once before. I haven't been streaming on my channel lately, but always happy to jump on other streams when invited/the scheduling aligns
Thinking the same thing. And possibly counterproductive. Up and coming brands should want to get their watches out in the public. This isn’t an investment piece. I’ve lost interest in a few microbrands because it’s like chasing something you’ll never get. They should go with tranches if they’re worried about being stuck with unsold stock.
Did you watch the video, or just the beginning? Not sure where you got your 95:5 ratio from, but you are wrong. Another negative grump lobbing grenades from the sidelines when someone like Bruce puts in a lot of time and effort to produce great videos and introduces us to watches we would potentially never know about. Oh, and it’s Marloe. With an “e”.
Agreed, I don't know what video Of The Essence Time Is watched haha. Part of talking about why this watch is awesome (which it definitely is) will come down to the movement and how it is new for this segment. I had to spend a couple minutes going over why it is significant.
Miyota 9075 is a game changer. I’m always worried about getting mugged when I travel. I may even end up collecting several from different brands!

I'm sure there will be. I dig the ultrablack. Just got to review one
I went with the Zelos Mako GMT featuring the 9075. I got the Frost colorway. Total cost? $529. Unbeatable!

Just received. It is beautiful. Since not using as a diver, I can live with lower threshold of water resistance.
I liked the Marloe Commander but it’s sold out. I have concerns about Miyota movements.
I got the night version of this watch. I love it!
Just got this movement in my Zelos Mako GMT. At $550 dollars it is a great value.
Me too! I went with the Frost, though.
The power reserve is completely irrelevant if you are a traveller! You wont be taking it off!
The trade off of the lower beat rate isn’t worth it for me. I’m happy with 42 hours of Power Reserve for the 4Hz beat rate.
Well done review. Especially highlighting the downside of the movement. I don’t see buying this brand with the issues you highlighted! Thanks for saving me money!
All watches have pros and cons. I just share my opinion

Same here, I'd trade beat rate and a silky second hand for power reserve any day. I'm fact I've just ordered one of these.
I've never noticed any sound/wobble on my Miyota 9 series movements. Maybe you play more frisbee than I do.
Also, I think the Milanese is afantastic choice on this watch!
Thank you
Beautiful and great wach
Nice. I would have preferred if it were under 42mm and a fitted bracelet as an option instead of straight end links

Don’t think so.

I think the terms traveller and caller GMTs are the better terms to use.
I'm old school. I like using the original terms of true and dual time
Miyota are the goats
they should make it in quartz i dont really care for automatic movements
Limited editions are just way to overdone - for this reason I’m out ( pretty cool watch though )

Tell us you don’t like a watch without saying you don’t like a watch. 95% a review about movement of another company, 5% review of Marlow.

50m WR?? and what´s with the butt plug hands?
