7:05 I see Traveller's GMT as even simpler than that. You set the GMT time to GMT/UTC/Z and leave it there forever, then as you travel to other timezones or suffer daylight saving adjustments you adjust the jump hour hand accordingly. The traveller's GMT makes it easy to keep the jump hour on whatever your local time is, while the GMT hand forever represents GMT. If you want to set the GMT around to different timezones other than GMT, you'd probably be happier with a caller GMT.
And if the GMT hand is always pointing to GMT on the chapter ring, you can rotate the bezel to the timezone offset for whatever third timezone you may want. I wish that city bezels were more common because that would eliminate a lot of the memorization for timezone offsets.
I bought one a few weeks ago and like it a lot. It does everything I wanted and has great lume.. Why do people go on about water resistance rating? The 50 m rating means (to me) that it can stand rain and occasional splashes. That is all I need. If you want more, then get a diver's watch! If I was in a lot of water the watch would be the least of my worries! Thanks for the review.
7:44 it is safer this way to have a jumping hour hand and a non-quickset date because you might want to change the local time late at night when coming off a red eye flight. With a quickset date you risk snapping the gear teeth off if you quickset close to when time of day when the date was going to change automatically. Removing the quickset date feature eliminates this possibility.
Great review! Considering that a GMT complication inherently uses crown, I don't think the 50m push/pull design is unreasonable. It reduces the risk of bending the stem or cross threading the tube if you actually use it regularly. It is a little pricy given the competition, but it's a very refined design.
This is so tempting. I really don’t like anything else they have done, but this one is killer. I don’t mind the 50m, I take my watches off to wash hands etc, and for swimming I wear a junker gshock. I would put this on a NATO, er, I meant tan leather strap and it would look super casual. Definitely considering it. Nice review as always.
Hi , just read your comment if you are interested let me know I have a15%discount code I could forward to you, I got it with my last purchase from Marloe 👌
Thanks for this review. I'm thinking of buying a very different watch with the 9075 movement (a Zeppelin, would you believe, costs $500 here in Moscow), and now I probably will. Thanks again. Cheers 🍻!
Not very attractive proportions. The hands are too short, and there is a lot of apparently wasted space between the dial edge and the inner edge of the rotating bezel. With those things fixed, it would be a really nice watch.
You made a valiant attempt to defend an overpriced, oversized, boring-looking watch with a mere 50m of WR. Nice try, but there are many better watches out there.
I didn’t defend anything. People always think if I try to weigh or look at something objectively I’m defending. I clearly say it would limit how I would wear it and that I want more water resistance, a screw down crown and a quickest date or no date. It’s a review, and I laid it all out and gave my opinion. And yes, there are a lot of watches out there, and one I mentioned was the CW GMT as an example. 👍

@@JinKee City bezels would be great, unfortunately they are misleading because of Daylight Saving Time.

looks fantastic
If this had some decent water 💦 resistance it would be a no brainer. The blue is really good looking.

There's a little too much dead space on the dial for me.

👍
Nice piece. However all things considered, I would go with the CW.
Sealander?
@@sage9743 I was agreeing with Don on the C63.
@@gregalonzo747 I see. I do like that C63 Sealander.
Where are these watches made?
China.
They are not made in China, they are made in Japan. Marloe use either Japan or Switzerland depending on the model 👌
