Glad you found our video helpful! We really think the Track 1 is an another excellent offering from Suomy. If you have any questions we're here to help!
Only downside for this helmet is it comes in two shell sizes I wear a large and it was going to be a huge bulky helmet it shares the shell with xl and 2xl,really considered buying this helmet because of the weight,I can't wear heavy Helmets, but went for exo r1 in carbon really happy about it, weighs a little more than this one!!,large has it own shell.
Over 20 years of selling motorcycle helmets Speed Addicts has found noise to be the most subjective helmet attribute. Noise will vary greatly depending the helmet fit, machine and windscreen. It’s common for riders give completely different feedback on this topic for the same exact helmet. For this reason we tend to stay away for commenting on noise unless the helmet is true outlier (very quiet or very loud). In our experience the number one cause of excessive wind noise is a helmet fitting too loosely. As such we recommend ensuring a snug fit out of the box, allowing for break-in of 10-15%.
Will you be reviewing the KYT NZ-Race? I'm having a particularly difficult time deciding between the Suomy TX-Pro and NZ-Race or spending more and just getting the SR-GP. Will be using the helmet for track and spirited riding.
Great question here. First off let's discuss the Suomy x KYT connection. These brands have been owned by the same parent company for about 8 years now. Both brands are produced in the same factory and some models cross over with different names and branding. The SR GP and NZ-Race are essentially the same helmet save for a few quarks. Now let's compare the Track 1 (aka TX Pro if Carbon) and the SR-GP. The best comparison would be a RF-1400 vs X-14 (soon X-15). The SR GP is most at home on the track due to a close, race fit and extreme aero package. The fit of the Track 1 is more suited to longer street rides and the price tag is easier on the wallet. Both are extremely light and well ventilated. We'd recommend the Track 1 to riders who spend most of their time on the street with occasional track days. If that ratio skews more towards the track then the SR-GP may be worth the extra spend as long as you're game for a race fit.
Hi, I have a Soumy Track-1, bought last summer. In my opinion it is a really nice and light helmet. However, as soon as I got it I immediately wanted to fit the dark visor (dark smoke), but, after 6 months, I still haven't been able to find it. I wonder how it is possible that you can't find a black visor for a 2022-2023 helmet. All the online sites I checked only have the transparent one available. If anyone can help me I would be grateful!
look for it now, I had the same problems.. I really wanted the black visor and couldnt find it after i bought the chieftain helmet :/ but now its again aviable at some shops, i dont know why.. look at TGP shop, moto discount, wintex, king moto, hope it helped
Hey, I've been looking forward for when you guys will get the chance to stock on this. Question: I have been looking to either wait on this or purchase a scorpion r1 air. Don't care much about the design all black is what I prefer. My riding is mostly Street highway 80-100mph. Which one do you guys recommend?
Correct, however when you import a helmet from our of the USA it will not be covered by the manufacture's warranty. This is true not only for Suomy, but pretty much every major helmet manufacture. Furthermore returns and exchanges can be quit time consuming and costly.
Hey G, Thanks for watching! The Track-1 shares the same shield as the Speedstar, check out this link: www.speedaddicts.com/search?search_query=Speedstar+shield#/filter:custom_type:Shields
How does this compare to the KYT NZ Race? Where I am from they are right around the same price and was wondering if there is any difference other than the name.
If budget is not an issue and you're looking for a top shelf racing lid we'd recommend the Nexx XR3R carbon or Shoei X-15. However if you'd like not break the bank and still come away with an excellent and capable sport helmet we'd highly recommend the Suomy Track 1 or it's big brother the all carbon TX-Pro. We think the TX-Pro is probably the sweet spot at sub $450. It's only 2.75 lbs and ECE 22.06. We'll have a video on the TX-Pro shortly, but you can shop now at - www.speedaddicts.com/full-face-helmets/#/filter:custom_model:TX-PRO
This review is just what i was looking for, thank you :)

Please Suomy make a Scott Russell replica. I’ll buy one. Next favorite is the Bastianini

We wish it had at least 3 shell sizes.
Good stuff!!! Thanks for the awesome video!
Thanks for watching!
What can you say about the noise of track 1 and tx pro? Are they very noisi??

The dark smoke visors tend to sell out super fast. You can sign up for stock notifications through our website.
Wear sunglasses, much better.
need that Bagnaia dennis rodman helmet asap - any lead time on that coming?
Unfortunately no info.
@@SpeedAddictsTV i knew not to wait for Suomy to give the people what they want - I moved on. this is a company headed down the toilet.
Great review thanxs 😀🤟
Thanks for watching!
Mine comes in tomorrow 😊
Awesome! Thanks for watching!

Both helmets are great choices. I personally like the Track-1 more.
can I just buy crownpad itself? size S 🙏🏻
We do sell the head liner separately.
Do you know when they are going to restock the iridium multi color visor for this helmet? I have the Chieftain in yellow. Thanks.

You can buy non DOT helmets if your state doesn’t require helmet

Thanks for the detailed review, does the Track-1 have a tinted visor (sold separately)? can't seem to find on the product page.

I bought one specific for track use. Is it not suitable, is it more road oriented?
You mentioned 200kph, I'd often be up to 280 or so. Is it suitable?
You can use this for track days or street riding.
How does this compare to the KYT NZ Race? Where I am from they are right around the same price and was wondering if there is any difference other than the name.
They are pretty comparable.
HJC RPHA10 and Scorpion EXO 2000 both are small. Looking to replace with a Suomy Track 1 should it be a SMALL?
Different manufacturers, different fit. We found the Track 1 to fit true to size.
Hey ✌️ what would be segestions in sizing for man who have Arai QV in size S but have head size 57.4 cm? Arai helmet fits perfect.
With a size of 57.4 you'd want to get a size Medium
Question for you? Is this helmet better than the nexx xr3r?? Or not?
