The Shoei has the photochromic visor, I had it on my NXR and now on my NXR 2 and is amazing

By the way, your video convinced to return the Shoei NXR2 and go for the Arai, mostly for the security reasons and I'm so happy. It's good looking, ultra comfortable but also I know that it will be more secure (even though I hope never to have to test that theory!!!)

I have the shoei ,both are premium helmets but if you try arai you feel better and premium inside my next helmet is gonna be arai quantic

I will just say that when a company tells me "we use less material for your safety, trust us" yeah, that was what 100% put me away from ever buying Shoei.

I Think arai is more comfortable than shoei, and ofc the liner is more durable

having used both yes it is, also much easier to put on/take off and the visor mechanism is much better, the shoei ratchety one feels cheap af, the only thing it has going for it is the 150 grams less weight and the slightly lower price

@iNFiN3CRO I agree with both of you. Over the years I've had both, Arais and Shoeis and Arais have always had the better liner and were more comfy. I especially rate Arai's visor system much higher than Shoei's. Arai's is practically 'infinitely adjustable' (for opening), whereas Shoei's has those pre-determined positions (click, click). Sometimes I would want just to crack open the wisor a tiny little bit, but on the Shoei that's not possible, it goes into that first pre - determined slot. I've no idea either why the reviewer finds Arai's left - mounted visor lever mode inconvenient, having extensively used both, Arai's is a much better & convenient one, in terms of both the quality and ease of use.
