This is killing me because I really dig the design of that Marshall speaker but Bose does seem to sound a whole lot better. I mean it's a speaker so I probably should go for the better sounding one but man I'll have to be hiding it away from plain sight when not in use whereas Marshall could comfortably sit there on display all day and just look good. First world problems I'm telling you...
Btw I just went with my gut feeling and got the Emberton. That'll be my only portable speaker for the foreseeable future and since I'll probably never get to experience a direct comparison I just went for the better design. Take that Bose!
Actually wanted to buy the Bose one, since I wanted to buy a BT speaker for years, even though I am not one to listen music outdoors and always wanted the Bose one, until I tried the Marshall and decided to go with that one, feels like it has more bass and sounds somewhat cleaner.
I just got the Bose SoundLink Flex from Costco for $109.99 after a week of research. I need it for music to fill a gym while playing competitive volleyball after my old Creative Bluetooth speaker fails to hold a charge anymore and needs to be constantly plugged in. I believe I made the right choice especially with the significant price drop. Rule of life: you can't have everything but if you can have most of what you want then that's pretty good.
Bought the Bose. What got me was this video and your blind test video. I love the sound profile but i still wish the app would let me tweak it more. I threw a party in my house and its more than enough to fill up my living room at around 70% volume and thats enough to have all the sound spectrum shine. 👍
Flex a clear winner. My brother has the Emblem, I have the Flex and we tested them together as well. By bro conceded the difference and went and bought the Flex. He keeps using the Embleton in his study though. They are both terrific at the end of the day.
I have a question. Marshall offers 360 degrees sound. Does it make difference? I am unable to find both the speakers in a single store to test it. I tried bose it sounds good. But i want to consider 360 degree sound as well. Any thoughts?
02:10. TIP. Close your eyes when you listen to the sound comparison. I did, and then open your eyes when you think you like one speaker more than the other. Do this as each clip is played, back and forth, open your eyes quickly to see which speaker you like better. And as the clips play, you will notice you have opened your eyes more to one speaker than the other.
Hey Danny I owe you a big thankyou. It was your video which guided me to take the right decision. I went with the Bose Soundlink Flex and witnessed something I have never experienced before. The Bose Soundlink Flex is something phenomenal to my ears. This is the first time I have bought such an expensive speaker. The hype is true. All thanks to you.. Danny! And yeah your shirts are awesome, I tried to buy even that one too but with the importing fees it is costlier than the speaker itself. So I left that idea.
I 100% agree with you. I wasn't planning on purchasing any more portable sounds. I heard the demo at Best Buy and it was love at first heard. I didn't even have to ponder if I like the sounds from it or not. It just sounded so good and balanced and clear. And the bass wasn't overwhelming either
Surprisingly, no one is pointing out that bose flex bass doesn't get thin on increasing vol to the full where as any other speaker at this range marshal jbl, tends to spund thinner aa the vol increases. Bose is something i can't explain but very very accurate
My Bose SoundLink mini (1st generation) is about to die. It has already lasted for nearly 10 years since I got it as a Christmas gift in 2013 so there's nothing I can really complain about it honestly. And yes when I found my mini stopped playing again today I felt like "Okay it's about time to do some research for the next one". And then here we are! I'm exactly considering these two models and I felt so lucky that I found your video here. I can definitely tell that I still prefer the sound from the soundlink flex more than the emberton from your video - so thank you! Your thought of making this video to tell people how good you think the bose one is was abs great!
Forget these two and go for the marshall stockwell 2, I've used the bose mini 1,2 and also the soundlink 3 and my goodness does the stockwell 2 blow them all away, the bass response is incredible for a small speaker and I've tested it against the bose flex and I can confirmed it's much better aswell, the only downside is the lack of smart features
Bose Flex is good for bass but it sounds mono. The Emberton is great because of the sound dispersion. The front of the speaker plays left channel and the back plays right channel. So, there's a better definition and sound dispersion. 2 Bose Flex would be better on Stereo mode. Anyway, I still have an Emberton and happy with this one (and battery life is awesome on the Emberton) !
Actually I dont think the bose does have more bass, its just not in balans and thats why the bass pops out, the middle and high tones staying behind. The Emberton is more clear open and the sound escapes the case almost without making some tinny note sounds comparison most small speakers. Iam actually impressed about Emberton, to me it sounds better then the bose.
I agree. I bought both, compared, and returned Bose. Although Emberton is not so loud, he is not so bass (does not mean he can't bass), he is musical, the instruments are more detailed, the music has balanced depths, mids and highs. Bose doesn't play badly, but his sound is flat and focused a lot on bass and treble. In addition, the Emberton has better control, longer battery life and an indicator showing its status (which I find more practical than pressing a button and listening to an annoying voice).
I have the marshall. It's really not that good, i don't get the praise it gets online. Yeah sure the sound quality is top notch but the bass is so lacking it basically ruins the experience. With the bose you get almost the same sound quality but with more bass. In general the bose sounds better and it's the one you should go for
Could you please explain how the Soundlink sounds clearer than the Emberton? First off all, I don't favor any over the other regarding brand or aesthetics. I'm a serious music listener, by the way, and I've got to say that the Soundlink evidently has more bass and thump however, it's muddy all around due to its exaggerated lows. So, it should only be effective with bass-heavy genres like EDM, Hip-Hop, House, etc.. In contrast, the Emberton is more tuned to genres such as Rock and Metal, which requires a cleaner and more precise sound signature.
I listen to heavy metal and rock. Are you sure marshal wouldn’t disappoint? I have gotten few reviews that emberton 2 could not feel as loud as other speakers in outside areas other than room. Any thoughts?
First ordered the Flex and than startet watching your Videos. I am waiting the second day for the Bose and with all your Videos you are making my happiness bigger and bigger. Sub - you earned it❣️
I think I'm going to get the Emberton, just because it has 20hrs battery compared to the Bose 12hrs. And the Emberton has Bluetooth 5.0, whereas the Bose has 4.2

Emberton is great but I'm my opinion the bose flex has the best sound when it comes to speakers in that class. Including the JBL flip, marshall emberton, that Sony one, ECT.
Easy choice. If you wanna use just one single speaker is Emberton better choice but if you wanna pair two speakers together to get stereo sound is better Bose. So that's why I picked two Bose flex and have nice stereo portable sound.
Looking at how this video has aged with time and comparing prices now, it’s clear the Bose speaker is better. Used emberton 1 you can find for $70 all day but Bose even Amazon refurb is $120. With the new difference in price though, I went with the emberton.

Hey, the bose is not like THAT much better. If you love the look of the Emberton you should go for it, the sound is NEARLY the same quality and maybe better on some songs. The big thing is that the flex pumps out just a little bit more natural bass sound. But these are all small speakers so really if bass is important you should go bigger. Go with the Emberton.
Better to go for Bang& Olufsen Beo Play P1 or P2 as both the speakers are Stereo and offer the bedt of Eurooean quality , design and refinement in sound.
Hey, I already have the Emberton 2, I guess it gets better with overall music and bass with time, at least what I feel, however since you have bose too, think it's significantly better than Emberton 2? Also how's the battery on flex? If heard at a stretch on a particular vol. Your suggestion will really help make a decision. Thanks.
Its not even a contest. The emberton has better sound, significantly better battery at 20 hours, can be fully submerged whereas the color II is only splash proof. Also the bose flex is a better alternative if you like bose.

The bose flex does. The emberton is very close but colors the sound a little.
Bose is the Boss
Bose and others 😍
Marshall with good detail
dude please help me out here, i had already set my foot on the emberton but now i am having second thought about it as you said the bose is a bit better. do you think j should go for the emberton just because i absolutely hate how the bose looks? thx
@@DannyPops Thx man! I just got the Emberton and it was everything I wanted!!
Better to go for Bang& Olufsen Beo Play P1 or P2 as both the speakers are Stereo and offer the bedt of Eurooean quality , design and refinement in sound.
Marshall kicked Boses arse
Thank you Danny :)
thanks, helped a lot
Beide sind gut, aber man sollte keinen Handkoffer Radio mit einem mini Pr Anlage vergleichen..
just love your videos man… deep love for your honest reviews from India❤🎉
I recently got the emberton 2 and the flex also, what I realized if that the new Emberton 2 FW, reaches lower notes. Than previous fw
Thanks.
After testing both speakers and getting the Soundocore motion 300 , I concluded I like the emberton 2 more than the other 2
@@alvaroreyes8110 good to know!
But also how's the battery for flex? If you've heard it for long continuous hours, does it last for at least 7 hrs?
Emberton ii vs Bose?
I'm torn between soundlink color 2 and emberton..can you genlighten me which one to choose?
Its not even a contest. The emberton has better sound, significantly better battery at 20 hours, can be fully submerged whereas the color II is only splash proof. Also the bose flex is a better alternative if you like bose.
@@DannyPops thanks sir..probably grab the flex..
