I have the previous version of the Flex & Emberton 2. The Emberton sounds more "right" and open. The Bose sounds more closed in UNTIL you put it on its back, which changes the EQ--then it sounds more open. For movies, it's a tossup. The Bose has smidge more mid bass which is good for movies, but alternatively, the Emberton 2 is a tad clearer.
The Emberton 3 I hear has more bass, but at the detriment of having the clarity of the 2.
Bottom line, you REALLY need to try them in your space, because NO TH-cam vid will communicate how it really is. So buy and keep the one you like most based on these "informational" videos.

Seriously, I cannot even fathom any other speaker in this realm being cleaner/clearer sounding than the *Bose Soundlink Flex 2nd Gen.* That said, because I currently only own the *Soundcore Motion X-600* & up until last year, also once owned the og *Bose Soundlink Flex* I most certainly stand to be corrected.

Thank you C for another comprehensive and entertaining video.
For me, I thought the vocal sounded better with the Marshall...
But I don't like the new Marshall logo - looks cheap and not as classy as the previous version.
The gold colour on the Emberton 2 looks much better in my opinion.
I think it's to do with cost.
But I happy to pay a little bit more for the isolated logo.
With the Bose, did they upgrade the charging port to USB C instead of micro usb?
