Parallel mode takes Channel A input and sends it to both the A and B outputs. The Channel B input gain will not impact the performance since its input is not being used making it no longer matter which level its set to.
Yes they are all three in one chassis! Yamaha's PX series commercial audio amps has a DSP that allows crossovers to be applied (high and low pass crossovers) as well as equalizer control using a parametric EQ in their DSP.
The Yamaha PX5 amplifier is too powerful for your speakers, delivering 500-watts into 8-ohms. The Yamaha PX line of amplifiers also does not feature RCA unbalanced audio inputs for consumer home audio devices.
I’m planning to add 2 subwoofer to my setup …so my question is “can I connect my 1 subwoofer input to Yamaha amp and set it to parallel output meaning input A to both output A and B “ please reply is that possible
Are you looking to upgrade speakers as well as the receiver? Will this setup be used for music or also TV/movies, and how many total speakers will you be running? Also, will a subwoofer be part of the system?
If you are connecting four total Yamaha CZR12 8-ohm passive 12" PA speakers, you will want to connect two speakers in parallel for each channel on the Yamaha PX10 amplifier.
We do not recommend using PA amps to power home speakers like the Bose 901. We do offer integrated amps that have the loop needed to connect the 901's EQ. This link should load the webpage showing them: www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc227/g_344650/Integrated-Amplifiers.html?fa=1#&nvpair=FFPre-out/Main-in_Loop|[rank1]Yes
@@crutchfield i know Sir , but i have the EQ bevor the Amp. I have a Preout Signal from a Yamaha RXA Receiver to the input of the EQ. Than it will go to possible PX3 or PX5.
Ah, thanks! That helps. When a power amp is all that's needed, we recommend using one of these with home speakers: www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc227/g_10450/Power-Amplifiers.html?tp=48757&fa=1#&nvpair=FFNumber_of_Channels|[rank2]2
I’m going to buy 2 CZR 15 and PX10 Does the amp will be enough for 2 CZR 15 ? And is it possible to make the speakers BI - Amp from 1 amp PX 10 or full range will be better? Thanks
The PX10 is a 2 channel amplifier, It would deliver 1000W to the CZR15s. Those CXR15s are rated for 800 watts Program power. The PX8 may be the better amplifier match. With a single amp, and two of those speakers, you would not be ablet o bi-amp. no.
I have two speakers made by B&C Speakers, model 18PS76, with a nominal power handling of 600W and an impedance of 8 ohms. I want to run these two speakers using a Yamaha PX10 amplifier, which will receive a sinusoidal signal from a signal generator. Can this amplifier run the speakers?
The Yamaha PX10 is expected to overpower your speakers. However, their PX5 would work well with them. You can find it here: www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc227/p_845PX5/item.html
Thank you for the clarification, we were going off the 600-watts nominal power handling numbers that you provided in your initial question. I do confirm according to the first link below that the program wattage for these loudspeakers is listed at 1200-watts. The Yamaha PX10 in the second link below, 1000-watts RMS deliver per channel into an 8-ohm load would be compatible. loudspeakerdatabase.com/BC/18PS76 www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc166/p_845PX10/Yamaha-PX10.html

I used this amp (px10) to replace a Dynacord xa4000 after it blew up in smoke and set the Yam on the fly. It worked almost like the Dynacord, but at the moment I did not know inside the settings you could increase a bit more volume , doing so I could have similar volume from the Yam and the other Dynacord. But I think these yamaha px series are not real 1000, 800 , 500 or 350 watts (8hms). If in an emergency combining this amp with another amp you need to delay the other amp.

-3db for both chanel is good? usually what db is good for a speaker?
Is there a test confirming that it honestly produces 800 watts at 4 ohms? Thanks!
These specs are provided via Yamaha's own testing. If you had the amp at home though, you could test/verify with a multimeter.
In parallel mode is channel B supposed to have the gain set at 100%?
Parallel mode takes Channel A input and sends it to both the A and B outputs. The Channel B input gain will not impact the performance since its input is not being used making it no longer matter which level its set to.
Is at almost available on all amps or only few have a HPF and LPF settings in amps

Is this equalizer, crossover and amplifier all in one?
Yes they are all three in one chassis! Yamaha's PX series commercial audio amps has a DSP that allows crossovers to be applied (high and low pass crossovers) as well as equalizer control using a parametric EQ in their DSP.
How does this compare to the Crown XLS series? I can see the DSP is more flexible on the Yam, but how does the sound compare?
They are super close performance wise. Both offer clean, consistent power. The Yamahas do offer a more sound control.
Why did the sound stop automatically when alert signal?
