I don't think its so much that "the devs didn't bother to fix stuff" it's just that in their own words "We are not allowed to alter anything in the game" , even if they wanted they were not allowed to change anything, they (code mystics) were only hired to port the arcade version to this new version with rollback netcode and other basic features such as being able to select all characters without a code and the menus, but the game itself, they were not allowed to change anything.
@@huevonesunltd It’s not even the Arcade version it’s the AES version that only has the 3 continues. I own the AES version and that’s how it is on it.
@@Pagaugezero The MVS (arcade) version and AES are literally the same version just a different dipswitch, on any neogeo arcade you can switch between MVS and AES mode , they just didn't include a coin button so you start with a default number of credits you can set in the neogeo settings but they didn't port that part or it's inacessible.
The AES huge cartridge in the Home console neogeo is the same Rom as the arcade it's just set to AES mode aka "console mode", the other version that there is is the PS2 version which had the in Game movelist and transformations for red arremer and Athena, this one doesnt have that so it's the arcade MVS/AES version ported out of the neogeo so no coin buttons or AES menus or free play

Dude, SNK games of that era are NOTORIOUSLY DIFFICULT, lol! I recently played Garou, and MAN! At a certain point, the fight difficulty just SPIKES, lol!

@sukmykrok3388 We're talking about garou here, one of the easy SNK games to play against a cpu, I need to set the difficulty up to max in garou so I can like I somewhat try harder, and you over here talking about difficulty spikes in the same game. So yeah, you get your ass handed to a damn computer.
I wish they had modified the PS2 version or at least bring the changes from that version. But I guess that's much to ask
Anyway is good to see the one crossover that takes place in purgatory returning and being relevant again

Even with the trigger warning removed, the problem is the re-release is based on an AES mod. That is why the port has the 4 limited continues. What? Even if I am not going to be facing the mid-bosses, it ruins the idea that arcade games are designed to be coin-feeders to work with having infinite continues. The color edit mode that the old ports have is also scrapped.
My favourite fighting game next to Neo Geo Battle Coliseum.
This game is very easy for me especially Goenitz hahah.
Just use taunt and that guy will approach nyo instead of using his tornado attack.
Best snk character in this game is Kyo as his super is very strong and can always use as a counter.
Akuma is soo easy to beat if you dash cancel and grab once he does his jump and double air hadouken attack,
Mr karate is easy if you just keep blocking and jump on the other side when he does his punch combo attack, red arremer is easy if you just corner him he cant do anything,
Athena is easy as most of her attacks are essay to avoid and you follow up a counter the only exemption is the mermaid form as she is completely invulnerable thru out the whole animation frame.
Orochi Iori is very easy to bait and approach aswell as Violent Ken.
I enjoyed playing this at the Arcades back in 03, even bought the Japanese PS2 port aswell. I felt they Should've ported this one on the Dreamcast aswell .
This release took me by surprise, i was sure they were going to release all the SNK vs Cap games together. Makes me wonder if they will release the other 2 together or seperate now

Funny story, i just played it & whatever ending i get...i get 😂 forgot trying to do all that nonsense. Some times i got the hell battle. Other times, it wasthe hell one. There was only a 20 percent chance i would beat them anyway 🤷🏾♀️ it's awesome this version has unlimited meter too. And heck with restarting the whole game if you lose that one battle. I was so mad the first time that happened to me
There's online mode but no ranked mode.. why yall not telling the people that?
@@irasavage1162 The thought did cross my mind but it just didn't bother me. I like the option of ranked matches but thats where I deal with the most ragequits, and surprisingly I haven't had a single ragequit on SVC so far. I wonder if THATS why 🤔
The special moves aren't responsive in this game especially the Exceed Supers during fights.

The original Xbox Exclusive had everything unlocked already this game is for a niche audience 😭
Actually! It still had athena and red arremer locked funny enough, they had to be fought and beaten in the survival mode which was easier said than done 💀
No the Xbox version didn't have everything unlocked you had to unlock them through survival

Had it on my aes for 900$ a few years back I hate it I really tried to like it but there is just wayy to much I hate about it. The music that weird 2000s techno the way it plays and feels. I love mark of the wolves fatal fury double dragon neogeo games I just hate this game it's disappointing I get to use Akuma or Ryu on neogeo hardware and it blows. Capcom did better with there vs games both 1 and 2.
