This is brilliant! I was struggling with V-Neck lines; watched this and tried it... no more troubles! Subscribing too. You made it simple and easy to accomplish this tutorial!! Thank you!!
Thank you so much been struggling for ages trying to figure this out your video was very self-explanatory and so easy to follow amazing thank you again
Hallelujah! I have been hunting for a video that is simple to understand and I finally found it.Thank you! What I find helps me if I am sewing a technique for the first time I practice on a piece of scrap until I understand what I am doing so when I sew my garment I don't mess up 😅
Practicing on scraps is defiantly the way to go till you feel comfortable applying the technique to your project. Thank you for watching and I hope you check out some of my other videos too. 🎀
@@SewAnastasia I tried your technique and it worked Need a little more practice but I will be able to finish a blouse I am working on By the way I am viewing you from the island of Tobago in the Caribbean
Thank you so much i have a dress with this technique and have been trying to figure out how it was done so I could apply to a top that I am making. THANKS SO MUCH Anastasia
I love this tutorial! Very easy to understand. Thank you! How would you finish the rest of the top of the blouse with bias binding? (Specifically the pointed parts) Mitered corners? Thanks again! ❤
Hello new sewer here. Love you videos. I understand the v neck instructions, however, why do all videos (not just your channel). not show the complete neckline finished ? I find it easy to do on front piece as you have more control. Maybe just because I’m new or can you answer question how to attach back continuously. Thank you.
Hi there! This is so helpful, I just had one question though. Do you think it’s necessary to have a lining for structure if I use this method for a v neck dress or is it ok if I just sew the bias tape to the self fabric and ditch the lining all together? I’m making a Halloween costume for a friend so I wasn’t sure! Thanks
you can do bias on either side. But I'm not happy with her tutorial as the neck is pulling under V on both sides. It's not sitting flat. There are better tutorials out there.
@@SewAnastasia I’ve been sewing for many, many years and never had that happen on a seam that is crossed by another seam! It’s just not necessary and it creates an unsightly bulge at the intersection.
Hi Anastasia. I have made my wife a double layer nightdress from mirror organza (38DD - I just couldn't find nice nightware to compliment her lovely figure, so thought I'd try making one) but am having problems with the seam folding over on itself on the neck and arm openings (video of the problem th-cam.com/video/KMQJZ-wqzsw/w-d-xo.html ). Can I use a bias tape technique if I created the bias tape from the same organza? Any advice you can give a struggling husband would be hugely appreciated. Very many thanks.
Sorry for the late reply. I would use a bias tape facing technique. You can see it here. th-cam.com/video/IvlKQEizR0M/w-d-xo.html How did you end up finishing it?
after sewing your bias binding around the neck your neck is pulling. under the V which isn't good and thats after you ironed it You need a better method of doing it.
I go over 2 other ways of doing this is other videos. Check them out if this method is not for you. This is one way garments are manufactured with a V bias binded neck. Sorry if you didn't understand it.
I've watched over a dozen videos on how to bias an inside angle. Yours is the first that made sense. Thank you! 😁🤩
Awesome! Thank you! Thanks for watching sew anastasia!
Thank you again. I love how easy it is to follow along . The videos being short is also super convenient.

You could do mitered corners or just fold the binding back then over.
Great video, thanks…what is the chalk pen you used for marking?
Thanks
I used a quilting chalk pen. Thank you for watching.
Thank you that was brilliant
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching sew anastasia!

Where did you get the chalk pen for marking?
Thanks, what about the bulk at the point? Do you need to flatten it?
I always leave it because it is so small & doesn’t effect the garment.
You are a genius ☺️. Can I do the same to armholes please?
TIA
Hi! I totally have a video on sewing a circle with this. Check it out in my videos.

You don’t need to have lining. It’s up to you!
What is the name of the white pencil/pen you used to make your mark for the V?
Bodin I think.
Wow love it
Thank You 😊
Would love to see u join the back part
Very nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
hi what was that pen you used to make the white line that marked where to sew to make the v neck sharp?
It's a Bohin Extra Fine Tip Chalk Pencil! I love them! The chalk comes off very easily. Thanks for watching.
God bless you😍
Thank You. Thanks for watching sew anastasia!
wow

Can you make a video on your sewing class plz thanks 😁
Hi! Yeah totally. Which class?
Like how to start sewing or your 1 on 1 sewing class can you make a video like that plz thanks 😁
How about v neck with out bias?
I think without bias we have many other ways to suit style we want
Try a facing.
I thought Bias was supposed to go on the inside? So confused (newbie here)
Bias facing goes on the inside.
you can do bias on either side. But I'm not happy with her tutorial as the neck is pulling under V on both sides.

"Okay" tutorial. You don't need to backstitch on a seam that is going to be enclosed or stitched within another seam.
You do if your working with it because it will fall apart during moving it around.
@@SewAnastasia I’ve been sewing for many, many years and never had that happen on a seam that is crossed by another seam! It’s just not necessary and it creates an unsightly bulge at the intersection.
@@sewzolamarie7527 thank you for sharing 💕
I've learnt to always backstitch because it almost always falls apart before I'm ready to sew it .
xXX👍👍👍
