This is just genius Karina! Please keep these types of videos coming. They make such a difference in the finish of our garments. Excited to see your finished Coda😊
Thank you so much for taking the time to show us how to do these techniques by using such contrasting materials. Yesterday I used your burrito method for sewing yokes - as usual it was great to follow !
Thank you for showing that method it used so confuse me greatly you make it look so simple , keep these coming I'm learning a lot of great techniques ♥️🪡🧵
Thank you so much for posting this tutorial. I have tried some others and found them frustrating, yours was so clear in every aspect of the process and really easy to follow. You have literally saved me another frustration meltdown xoxoxo
Another awesome tutorial Karina, thank you! Bias binding has always been something I want to try but felt nervous doing. I love how you showed how to use these techniques for other garment sewing besides the LN Coda Quilted Jacket. Such a neat and tidy way to finish the edges. ❤️🇨🇦❤️
Absolutely brilliant! I revisited this tutorial 8 months after the first time I watched it and I was so pleased I had. I wasn't making an item of clothing but a baby change mat with four corners of binding. I would never have been able to achieve a neat finish without this tutorial. Thank you so much, Karina.
I’ve just watched this video two more times. I have my Coda coat sewn up, bias bound the pocket tops (no flaps) and the sleeve hems. Now for the big task! With you holding my hand and encouraging me, I’m sure I can do it. 😊
So helpful! I wasn't able to do the side seam for my coda this way with the 3 layers of quilted fabric. I think there's a limit to how thick the fabric can be. But it was perfect for the square corners
You do your bindings so well, I’ve always admired them. Thankyou for doing this detailed tutorial! I’ve been umming and ahhing over this coat. I hate boxy clothes. I have my fingers crossed you will do the version with the FBA. It’s not shown in any way i can detect on their web page. You just about always jump on the same issues i have, and coincidentally show me how to fix them. ☺️
thank you! Exactly what I needed, and very clearly explained. I'm curious, did you figure out yourself how to do this, or did you learn this somewhere?
Because the right side is the visible side and that’s the one that has to look the neatest… so that’s why I topstitch like that. If I did it from the wrong side, there’s no way the right side would look neat. Also, the way I do it guarantees that the wrong side is all caught in the stitch.
Research shows that a face can be recognisable over time and people tend to click on videos with a face on the thumbnail. The silly faces, that’s just dumb…. I couldn’t do it. I’m just myself and smile because that’s my personality.

Yup I did do a FBA with a dart to add 1 cup size :)
thank you! Exactly what I needed, and very clearly explained. I'm curious, did you figure out yourself how to do this, or did you learn this somewhere?
I figured it out myself with some scraps. This was a long time ago 😀
@@LiftingPinsandNeedles very cool!
🥰
I wonder why you start on the wrong side and topstitch on the right side and not the other way round?
Because the right side is the visible side and that’s the one that has to look the neatest… so that’s why I topstitch like that. If I did it from the wrong side, there’s no way the right side would look neat. Also, the way I do it guarantees that the wrong side is all caught in the stitch.
Just a question why are people's faces always on their thumbnails, sometimes they make weird faces too. I never watch those kind of vids.
Research shows that a face can be recognisable over time and people tend to click on videos with a face on the thumbnail. The silly faces, that’s just dumb…. I couldn’t do it. I’m just myself and smile because that’s my personality.
Fabulous technique. Thank you so much.
