Lee notice Hint's was always there. 1st episode Bam's initial test with the sea creature he naturally just entered the "water" didn't think anything of it, but that entire place was filled and he was even able to run in it. hence why when the test administrator blasted them, Bam wasn't moved, coincidence, I think not.
@@colt1903 yeah the princess or the guide mentioned it was a level 20 floor test. So bam was already messing with at least up to that caliber. then next episode with lero ro when he humbled that one guy he was like (insert floor) you'd have to deal with this amount on the daily etc.
SPOILER-FREE EXPLANATION: Shinsu literally translates to "Divine Water". It's the air (water) & energy & literally everything in the tower. The higher you go, the denser it gets & less people can do (inverse to how our water pressure gets less hospitable the deeper in the ocean you go). That's why Lero said its pointless for somebody who can't even breathe on the 30th floor to try to climb at all. The creatures of this world that live in the denser watery shinsu are called Shinueh. The show will explain a LOT more about how shinsu attacks are used, it's very detailed like nen in HxH
shinsoo is an element, like carbon or oxygen, but only found in the tower. controlling shinsoo is like elemental bending in avatar, a skill that can be gained, but you have to be born with some aptitude for it. that's what lero ro was testing for with the shinsoo blast/wall. your aptitude for shinsoo. the harder it is to cross the wall, the lower your aptitude, and if you can't cross at all, might as well give up. seems bam has some very good stats out the gate.......
Bam has no previous knowledge so he is definitely physically weak which is why Rachel is so important to him. He does show resistance to Shinso which is the main power source in the tower.
Awesome that you guys are on this ahead of S2 Please understand tho the anime does take some liberties with pacing and not everything is explained at once. hoping Season 2 is good, I really enjoyed the first.
i remember when the anime dropped, i didnt know it was getting an anime right, i just heard it was gas so i started reading it, and the day i finished season 1 im hearing episode 1 of the anime dropped😂

Season 3 of the webtoon and…even if some things are explained there is soooo much that isn’t or only partially. It’s just a mysterious kind of show/comic.
again the show doesnt explain clearly. but most people in the tower were born in the outer tower, when they become chosen to climb the tower they enter the inner tower and become regulars. so only regulars and people like rankers who become test administrators are allowed to do stuff in the inner tower, which is why the lil navigator guy of the princess last episode said they arent allowed to interfere with the testing floors. this is a rule of the tower. these rules are literal but not something people just made up. they are like gravity makes things fall its a rule of the world that affects everyone. but irregulars arent constrained by these rules as much or essentially have the power to break those rules. and yes there are a lot of tests. every floor u have to take tests to go to the next floor. u cant just skip floors this is another rule of the tower, regulars need to earn the qualifications to go up, thats why its very difficult and only the best of the best succeed and become known as rankers.

I love ToG, the power system is established here in this episode with shinsu. The idea of irregular and regular is so interesting too.
