Yeah the Chinese had the 1933 variant with the early turret. Compared to the 1938 version that they have ingame and is shared with the Soviets. The only difference will be a different turret but it will be nice for it to be correct
Why not use the indirect artillery mechanic not as a top down view, but on the minimap? When you aim up into the sky, the minimap can give you an open circle for where it thinks you will hit. Maybe a 50 to 100 meter open circle on the map? The top down view isnt realistic, so i had this idea. Let me know what everyone thinks of this
I don't believe the WW2 Chinese navy had battleships or even crusiers, so they would top out at rank 3 or so, then jump to 70's or 80's era destroyers. I think for naval, the British need a standard tree ww2 refit battleship with AA and radar. They have so many pre WW1 and WW1 battleships that can not defend themselves from air attack. Make the next 16" battleship rodney or nelson WW2 refit. US heavy crusiers exempt premium ships or event ships and Pittsburgh use 5"25, their secondary batteries are from 1942, adding a reffited USS Wichita would help, for the French a post 1943 US refit Richelieu, The Italians a littorio, Germans a Bismark class. The Russian probably the HMS Royal Sovereign, which was transferred in lieu of italian prize ships, the USSR demanded after Italy's defection.
Why would you add content to a broken gamemode? Naval needs a rework because you have ships with capability to engage mig21 or even 23 at 4.0. And those 4.0s are encouraged to play with 7.0 battle cruisers. Naval is more fucked than air arcade
buddy-lasing could be pretty good, for SB atleast, iirc early version of the tornado (i could be wrong) didnt have a laser designator (or was it a Jaguar?), so a Buccaneer S2B equipped with a laser targetting pod would use its laser designator for the other plane. Which would mean the early jaguar/tornado could get laser guided bombs, and only use them with a buddy
Problem with buddy loading in war thunder is that if someone can laser lock a target then it’s more likely that they’d take out the target instead of let you do it. Unless they add infantry this problem wouldn’t go away but I’d still like it added for those situations where someone’s a drone that has no ammo and they can guide friendly munitions to target while both the drone and aircraft are safe.
I don't understand why a simple "map gets updated to be effectively a rangefinder for SPHs) can't be a thing. All it would need to do is be able to have a ping system to tell a player how far and what direction the player should aim at to lob hell in that direction. Top tier SPHs getting drones to do this would be a bonus because then you could rely on visuals instead of approximate locations by your team.
Did the Asia server vanish from war thunder? I feel like there was a large influx of Asian names and they are always lagging. Not very fun to fight against....The devs should add more servers for everyones sake.
Chinese servers were brought offline so if you see any Chinese names then it’s most likely that that player is using cheats since they also got around the server bans.
Do i remember correctly or did they not merge the chinese client with the global one? I think this happened years ago now and there have been many chinese players since
Legit , we could us a similar mechanic to the tow hook, get close to and spaag and rope it to see what's scanning. Encourages more teamplay. And stuff like the type 81 could recibe a MASSIVE buff that way (type 81missile can extend its missile adquisición range up to 15 km that way)
We don't need a top down artillery mechanic. I'd love to actually use artillery the right way but you don't get to see the target especially WOT style. Of course the SPHs would need to be moved up and have designated spawns like 4 to 5 clicks out. You can use scout marks or drone pings to bracket in shots after you lay the gun and choose the charge.
He forgot to mention the way they manage so many bugs is by Conraire and the crew either ignoring or closing out most of the tickets because they don't want to fix them.
We are at a point in the game, where top BR Ground RB is just Air RB without markers and some tanks, that are getting shit on by planes from the Moons orbit. There's no incentive for players to respawn in SPAA, becouse they either leave after their first vehicle, or respawn in CAS. Killing a plane ing Ground RB also barely gives any rewards, compared to a tank kill, so people just don't give a shit. The more CAS options Gaijin adds (specially without anything reliable to counter it), the less likely that people like me, will play it. Also, since Gaijin actually sells top BR vehicles, the gameplay "up there" has a high chance of just scaring them away from the game entirely.
I can relate, i never played top tier Ground RB due to the already insane CAS spam. This is not tanks anymore. I want tank to tank combat and not to get constantly shit on by planes and helicopters every corner. The highest BR i can have fun is around 10.0.
@@Organic_Chemistry_Junkie Maybe an actual fix for the radars, with some rewards increase for aircraft shot down, would do it as well. Although yes, some new SAMs wouldn't hurt either.

If you make the counters easy enough & available enough, nobody has the excuse to complain about it anymore, at least not w/o other community members then saying "why aren't you using the counters?" Any response of "but I don't wanna!" instantly results in a "skill issue" response automatically.
Very true, the pantsir is definitely the best AA in the game by far and even then I can get so overwhelmed so fast and have a hard time responding to multiple threats, sometimes there are Genuenly 8 planes up all nuking people who can hardly respond.

South Korea has so many cool and unique vehicles that im surprised they haven't been added yet. We're missing out on so much. Gaijin should stop caring what JP and SK people say and just add South Korea to Japan as it is the smallest ground forces tree
I could see "long range" artillery and SAMs in a separate tech tree tab but they would only be a supporting element that can be called upon like the current artillery strike mechanic. Ideally they would exist on the greater map and could be targeted by counter battery fire or even aircraft.

I always thought we should see off-map arty vehicles with player-grade models for CAS to kill, the caliber of gun scaling up with BR. It'd also be a way to add various arty incapable of direct fire to say "yes, its in the game as an AI."
Aircraft do need new objectives. Most real CAS did not go after tanks directly, but ingame those other objectives do not exist (bunkers, artillery platoons, supply line trucks/trains, etc.).

Or have the indirect-fire-only machines as the "Artillery Support" players call upon. Have them be worth tickets when killed, and be about as tough to kill as player artillery SPHs are. These would be off-map intentionally for aircraft to kill instead of just player tanks.
I dream of a "God of War" update with Msta-S as the centrepiece. Indirect artillery implemented with artillery and spaa spawn positions on heliport like islands 10-30km out away from the main map.

I went to China over the summer na server lag less than Asia
