      Np, that would be a separate video. Swap parts isn't that hard, and anybody can do. Poking around in the headlight I can't recommend to people.

    I have the same car with the same left headlight damage. Mine is 2008 and the suspension is so rusty, especially in the back. I bought it used from Austria and on the first inspection the mechanic told me it had 4 years to live with this much rust. That was 3 years ago. I almost put it up for sale last month, but right now looking at what crap is coming out of VAG group and the price vs. features in cars even from 2019, I decided I will stick with it. I can bash Mazda for poor rust protection and no coating even on wire connectors (I've started having a lot of connector issues), but the level of quality is still light years ahead of last gen german budget cars. I've tested 2017-2019 skodas/vws in worse condition than my 15yo car (for 5 times the price).

      Mazda 6 or the GH platforms are famous for rust, even I have plenty of rust. on my car the rear needs a refurbishing or new parts.
      If you like Mazda and the ''quality'' how good it was , look for the next gen models, most of the issues the GH platform had, was fixed.
      Only people complain about the skyactive part, and some engine variants.
      How far I know, I would rather get a 8 - 10 year old car, than the newest ones.

    Thanks for filming how to replace the headlight! I am just about doing the same, but I need your help: do you recommend new original Mazda replacement or new TYC replacement would do as well? Have you experienced any quality difference between original Mazda headlight and TYC headlight before? Both cost pretty much, therefore I do not want to risk to buy the cheaper TYC and be unhappy. Thank you!

    • @KlavsX_
      @KlavsX_  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You are welcome. There are few things to check before you buy any other company's headlight.
      Is it build with OEM specifications, are the materials the same or they used cheaper materials. Is the price difference big enough for you to risk the headlight been different then the Mazda original.
      Original from Mazda are made with the regulations of the county and meet the standards and law that they need to adhere to.
      How I would do: IF you can get the aftermarket headlight half the price of a new Mazda one, I would. BUT if the price difference is slim or few 10's I would go with The Original.
      Original Mazda headlight you will have warranty and know where to go if the headlight isn't correct or has a defect.

    I have xenon headlights, the aftermarket what i found comes with H9 H11 lamps. Can i replace xenon and socket instead of halogen?

    • @KlavsX_
      @KlavsX_  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As long as you have place where to bolt the transformer on the headlight should be fine. As the xenon light come with cooling and volt transformer.

    It is curios that mine is the facelift 2.0 155 CP Petrol luxury sport with only one xenon white light for low and high beam and no place for the high beam like in your headlight in the middle for the high halogen beam. Interestingly they are harder to find

    • @KlavsX_
      @KlavsX_  ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably you have the MK2 Mazda headlights, that are the facelift versions of what I got.
      But that's my guess. Here in UK, they are everywhere, it's harder to find the facelift version ones.

    Where i can buy set of headlamp , and is there any difference btw US version and Europe one / Japan one

    • @KlavsX_
      @KlavsX_  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It all depends how much you want to spend and where you live.
      You can get new ones from Mazda themselves. But ebay is your cheapest bet, and you might strike a good deal on newer model headlights.
      There are differences, Japan and UK drive on the other side, so the beam aims to the other side, what won't work in EU and US.

      It depends where you live and if you wanna brand new ones or 2nd hand.
      2nd hand ones / used - can be got from 50 - 150 pounds per headlight ( so around 100 - 300), on ebay
      Brand new starting from 150 - 300 per headlight. It all depends how NEW you wanna go
