May I ask why you prefer using oil spray for the inside the repaired metal sheet and not used an anti rust paint using small brush or spray color (maybe with a straw?) to avoid rust in the future from the inside? The soldered sheet will get rust pretty fast.
We use cavity wax spray for the inside of the repaired metal sheet. This is not an oil spray, but rather a specialized cavity wax designed to provide thorough and long-lasting protection against rust. It is formulated to penetrate into the crevices and seams of the repaired area, creating a protective barrier against corrosion.
Cavity wax is preferred in automotive repairs because it is specifically designed for this purpose. It offers excellent adhesion to metal surfaces, creeps into hard-to-reach areas, and provides a durable coating that helps prevent rust from forming on the inside of the repaired panels. While other rust-preventive coatings exist, cavity wax is known for its effectiveness in automotive applications, providing comprehensive protection to extend the life of the repair.

It'd be more difficult to know when the quarter is flush with the door since it's damaged, door skin metal is much thinner, more cost effective to replace

Probably doesn’t pass the up close eye test but looks to be a cheap and efficient fix for a cheap car. Sometimes that’s all that’s required. Not every body job is headed to a car show. I like it.

Hello, the car door does not seem to have much damage, but it is very difficult to repair, the repair cost is not cheap, and the effect after repair is also difficult to control. Too much putty will cause it to crack later, because the car door needs to be opened and closed frequently. It gets beaten, so replacing the door with a new one is the best option.
Your repair strategy is all good, but why replacing door while it was possible to do same? it was a tiny part to repair...
Also why not smoothing it slowly but perfectly instead of using white cement (i don't know the exact english name) to make the smooth finish? it can be detected with any paint thickness detector.

Hello, that door was finally replaced with a new one. The repaired door will have problems later.
Одно не понял, как он руку просунул во внутрь со стороны лючка???? А дверь нельзя было также сделать??? Илм дешевле новую ставить ... Не понятно... И в итоге она отличается по цвету.....
Причем значительно отличается на несколько тонов светлее.
Да и в идеале при таком ремонте шпаклю можно либо исключить, либо нанести очень тонкий пости прозрачный слой заполнив ямки от спотера.
Скорее всего дверь реально дешевле заменить. Ну цвет конечно это огонь. Чтоб они сами так ездили с таким разнотоном. Это видно на камеру в боксе. Представляю что на солнце с хорошим зрением будет.
Внимательно смотри с 0:18 секунды. Если бы кромку двери не порвало, то возможно он бы и отремонтировал ее как крыло, в данном случае дешевле и надежнее заменить дверь. Хотя не исключу, что в крыле нет такой сырости как в двери и во избежании коррозирования шва заменили дверь
@@corvus9702 я не специалист, но думаю что крыло ,что дверь можно было сделать. А снутри обработать чтобы не ржавело. Этому ничего не мешало что в крыле что в двери....

Matching and blending a metallic basecoat and a clearcoat is a royal PITA.
@@xinxianshiyou need to blend the paint into the front door and rear bumper. Silver is almost pure metallics so you can't put on such heavy coats or the Metallics sink and that's why they come out dark. You need to go several lighter coats and finish with a dust coat to keep the Metallics sitting up and check with a sun light between coats.
You can never cut corners with silver and just paint to a panel edge without blending. It will always show a different shade!

you must be really autistic to notice that difference.
The color of the repair is very good actually, the door however isnt matching, maybe the spray angle for the door is different in this case.
Most panels are typically faded into each other to avoid these scenarios. I'm surprised the new door wasn't sprayed on the vehicle in order to blend better.

I understand your concerns. Our job is to repair accident cars. Someone pays us to repair his car, and then we do our best to restore the vehicle to a drivable condition. I don't think there is any moral issue. Repairing the vehicle itself does not It's not illegal. In developing countries, cars don't have to be scrapped if they break down, unless there is no value in repairing them.
