I heard about this raw food option by watching Rachel Faruso’s TH-cam Channel. I definitely have to check it out. It’s such a relief that there’s more easy option to feed our fur babies raw.

I’d love to try the complete recipe for my cat! I’ve tried practically everything to help her lose weight but nothing does that much 😢 she’ll lose 1-2 lbs but just stay there and be very hungry. She did like Lotus raw when I bought it once or twice but it was too expensive.
Have you tracked the calories? I know it sounds silly, but I would always give our dogs the same amount of any protein and couldn’t figure out why they kept gaining weight! But, then I realized the calories are all different and I had to calculate their required calories and feed that and since then they’ve been amazing!
Viva is in the midst of the second recall in a year, for turkey products this time (at the end of 2023 it was duck). I'm posting this here so people who don't know can be informed.
Unfortunately, Viva is not being transparent with customers, or the public in general. The recall was June 12th, and they didn't post about it on their web site until July 1st. They still haven't sent out an email about it.
Their original excuse was that the batches of cat and dog food contaminated with Listeria would stay in the warehouse and not be shipped to customers. But oops, some was in fact sent to customers. Customers who had not been informed about the recall because of Viva's secretive way of dealing with it.
Interactions with customer support have been less than inspiring. They are defensive, uninterested in being transparent, and full of excuses. They refuse to convey feedback up a level to management.
I had previously been a happy Viva customer, but I no longer have confidence in this company and will be looking elsewhere for meals for my beloved pets. I can only hope no one's pet sickens or dies because of the way Viva has handled their recalls. 😢
