I think you may have misunderstood the process. It’s tested and then sent to distributors and HELD until results return negative. This speeds shipping processes along to customers by being prepped and ready for distribution but it’s not mailed to ANY customers from those centers until negative results are confirmed. If results return positive, batches are discarded of from those facilities preventing its distribution to pets.

To be clear - that is their process, however a mistake was made. Obviously with these two issues happening within 6 months of each other, there are problems happening that need to be sorted out and I will not be using or recommending this food. I've been giving my Staffy Terrier Viva Raw for 1 year now and we are VERY HAPPY. Dr. Karen Becker recommended switching Protein every 3 months. Thank you.
hi, that’s awesome! It’s actually recommended to switch as frequently as possible for biodiversity and a well-rounded diet. Also to prevent forming allergies to certain proteins. We rotate daily-weekly.

Yes, there is no one-size fits-all diet for dogs - I'm glad you're working to find what works best for your pup! That sounds like an excellent idea - both great quality foods!! :)
PSA: viva killed a service dog named Hera, which is what resulted in the first recall. Feed at your own risk. I suggest looking into how horrifically they treated her owner
Yes they did - it was all over their website, social channels and everyone that got an affected batch was sent an email with contact numbers if they had any further questions. This interview was also before their recall.
Here is my complaint with them (and they didn't seem to care), because you are ordering in either 1 pound or 2 pound packs (i dont recall which), that would be a lot of $$ waste if your cat will not eat it. I asked them if they had a smaller sampler pack so that we could see which ones were eaten and know what to order................................they didn't care. Nor do they have a "contact us" feature on their website to talk to anyone at that company...

My dog's belly just can't do raw. I am considering getting Viva and cooking it sous vide and feeding it as 25% of his food with the rest being carna4.

They neglected to say they were inspected because a dog died eating their food that had bacteria in it
This video and FDA inspection is not in reference to the incident you’re noting as it was recorded before said incident occurred.
