Got a clone of this one, but it has three modes instead of two for increased pitch. In the wind, it's a real dog. In strong gusts I have it max pitch and full throttle- barely moves against the wind, especially with rolls.The x5c-1 on the other hand is really good in the wind compared to this.the actual x5hc also looks like a poor wind flier.

I was looking at one of these, but not impressed, I think the Syma X5UC is a better option, I find with these brushed motors that they need bedding in from new, I run my new quads at idle for a full 5 min before flying them especially the larger quads with brushed motors. makes them last longer.

It's a pity! Either the motors go bad or the lipo can't take the punch. I have a Tarantula Spider (one motor burned). MJX X400 (750mah 25C lipo obviously couldn't take the punch and performs like a 200mah lipo, now).
I ordered new motors for the Tarantula and in order to fix my MJX, I ordered the Syma X5HC in a package with additional 4x850mah lipos and 4 spare motors, blades etc. All for 60 Euros! I hope the 850's will also fit into the MJX, but even if not I can stick them to its belly.
Your wind issue makes me believe that they slightly undermotorized this quad to get decent runtime with a 500mah Lipo. I immediately thought that a 500mah is a little bit on the low side. Didn't they even make it bigger in comparison to the x5c-1?

Thank you for your video.What I want to know is, if you in flight put inadvertantely (?..) the left lever down in flight, at altitude I mean, the motors can unfortunately shut down? Or just if you take the lever at least 3 seconds?P.x.: do you think that this model has lesser powered motors than the Syma x5c-1?I know that their propellers are slightly differents.Thanx

Thanks for checking out the video!!! I'm pretty sure it will come down in a hurry!!! I dont think it is good idea to hold the throttle stick down for that long.... there is not much a difference with this one and the x5c motors...

+RC Escape i think x5c-1 use 7mm motor and x5s and x5h series use 8mm motor.

I just did an unboxing of this last week and then yesterday did a Features explanation one yesterday. I was having issues with my lvc coming on prematurely on the first day but haven't had any more issues with it since have you noticed any similar issues? anyway good video.. good review! also check out my "Camera Angle MOD" for this quadcopter it helps to make the camera angle facing forward instead of looking at the ground..THANKS !
