Europe had caste system(based on bloodline) and "brahmins" were only preistly caste and they had zero power in polity of state. Blame on ruling class if you want anyone to blame. Ambedkar himself was given opportunity by higher caste.. so claiming all were bad , is wrong. Also, if you'd read british memorirs they say that Indian society was balanced and all the people were economically and culturally rich . So you can assume that British suppression further aggravated caste Regresive practices. India was fine till 1600s . Dalits were not oppressed and they were the working class only.
This is an example of giving education and opportunities to people not based on religions or believings but in social equality, governments are responsable for this.

For your kind information, there is a strict rule against caste discrimination in Nepal too. Only rules are not enough, there should be changed within the society. If you compare to the caste discrimination in india with Nepal, then we had much better situation. In nepal, except the rare incident of caste discrimination there is no physical violence, killing , expulsion from locality and other heinous activities which are very common in india.

After then they were divided by the works they did such as Brahmins( priests and stuff) , kshatriya (warriors) , vaishyas (merchants traders ) and suddhras ( hardworking labourers). This was just to show the diversity of Nepal but people wanting to make/show themselves as superior started discriminating people on the basis of wealth and education. Then people just started saying and believing random stuff started discriminating just to make themselves look "superior" . In 2011 and act was passed to cope with this situation and it stated that discriminating people in a way like not letting them enter their houses is punishable and many more . People know this is wrong but still practice it saying this is what has been going on for ages not seeing that this is so wrong and immoral. There have been so many murder and rape cases because of caste discrimination. I just hope people believing in it realise that what they're doing is immoral inhuman and just so wrong 🙂.
