I can turn myself to eagle. ability that I used only 2 times: during Animagus event and during Hagrid's birthday event. which still required me to tap for few hours to keep Fang entertained. Tonks is Metamorphomagus. Fr 4 years never used her skill. And most of friends are just to make you pay for speeding firendship games or sth as they double their skills.

Luiz Felipe Estrella Alvares well EA made hp 1-7 and other spinoff games like the quidditch one. They still remake the HP Lego games for newer consoles... (I'm not really sure they'll do that for the switch or something) and there's an HP Lego on mobile. Other than some games on earlier Nintendo consoles, I'm pretty sure that's all.
RansomForRoses Yeah and some of them are pretty good games, but none of them has this style of creating your character in your own adventure etc besides, most of these needed to release with the movies, so the time to make was small (thanks for the response anyway!!)

A smart phone that can play this game will cost about $600+ new. A console u can get for $200.... This game could have been a beautifully crafted AAA online experince.... but they chose to go with a 'Cell Phone APP' because EVERYONE has a cellphone. Which = MORE MONEY.

Marian Verhoof No but like, something similar to Guild Wars 2 or the Final Fantasy MMORPG where there’s a Wizarding Britain open world map - maybe you can choose between being pureblood, halfblood, or muggle born? So your initial map/personal storyline can differ from other players at the start. Then you can explore Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, etc. When you level up your character, the points come from Hogwarts studies/maybe Quidditch/gaining House Points. The next level is the next school year. You can get to make friends with other players, see THEIR characters moving around in the game with you. A proper one, not like Lego.

They prefer to make medicore clicker and keep putting more and more lorebreaking crap in it. Mostly useless. We can have few pets and few magical beasts inside dorm jsut to get +1 energy each 6 hours per each. We have whole magical zoo which is useless as we get only +1 energy per new beast friendship lvl. And we can't learn anything new from it, we can replay max lvl animations after we reach them. We have several badly written friends instead of few bug ones, we have 3 friendship minigames, but all 3 are same and badly made (we need to play same quiz with same answers hundreds of times). People play it ONLY because it'h HP. And duels are biggest crap. It isn't even about it's being Rock-Paper-Scissors game with opportunity to use spell after you win round. Spells are just dumb. New one I've just unlocked is just same spell I already have minus damage. Both have medium stun, but "more advanced" can't do any dmg. Weaker can. And CHANCE to stun opponent for 1 turn is quite useless without doing dmg.

I've tried it for myself. It's obnoxious to wait so long for your energy. Even worst is when your close to completing but forgot last minute, failing the task and requiring you to do all over again. If you dont want to wait, well, there's the micro transaction.

Can someone make a petition for them to create a GTA V styled gameplay of Harry Potter where you can explore an open world of Harry Potter (Hogwarts, London, Diagon Alley, Ministry, etc). Play wizarding missions to earn Galleons so you can buy gear and vehicles and creatures and food and homes. Battle others. Play online with other witches and wizards. Play events like the tri-wizard tournament. Ride dragons, fly broomsticks, battle bosses... god damn it. They were on their way to that kinda game with the PS2 goblet of fire game years ago.
We want a big main open world RPG Harry Potter game. Not this cheap Sims knock off shit. What a downgrade from the previous games.

The friendship system in this game is sadistic. Repeat the exact same conversation over a hundred times, get reward. I've never seen a game designed with such contempt for the players and outright disrespect for the value of their time.
The game is unfinished and it will just try to entice you into participating in clothing item events until they finish the game which will take at least another year. It's not worth playing but I'm falling for the sunken costs fallacy ("I've come this far, may as well finish") and want to complete the story. If you want to play this, you should at least wait until they finish the main story so that you can play it through without waiting a week between chapters. It will really save you time and make the game more fun.
Basically it's a visual novel with a surprising cheap low budget feel. Every character uses the same few basic animations, there's no voice acting, and the locations are limited. It's a visual novel where you have to take a multiple-hour break every couple of lines. It's like reading a comic book one page per sitting. Or a poorly written novel one or two paragraphs at a time.
Maybe when it's done there will be a version, official or unofficial, with all the waiting and frustration taken out. Then it could be enjoyed for what minor pleasure it is without a masochistic or addictive capacity to put up with the suffering of playing this game.
It makes you wish you were playing the old Harry Potter games which seem like "real games" compared to this. This is not going to be your Rockstar Games _Bully_ quality Hogwarts experience, the game every Harry Potter fan always wanted where you explore the world with AAA production values. This is pure tedium punctuated by the occasional engaging tidbit. It's shockingly repetitive.
Should be a triple A game on PC and consoles developed by a huge studio. HP fans are still waiting for it

They actaully changed alot in game recently. I have like 40 energy and can complete a 3 hour task in one go, while back 40 energy only filled 2 stars for classes or 3 stars for event. Almost year 6 now

Actually there were two students who made just that, a rpg where you're a student and go through hogwarts. Then jk rowling found out and was like SIKE, and took control of the game and made it a part of pottermore for the playstation home. Then when playstation home closed, the game became toast :( I guess the reason there's not many games is cause it's just difficult for people to create anything similar without her taking ownership. But she doesn't seem to have much of an interest in it so she's not going to make anything happen

Hmm i think it will be more interesting to get our house choosen based on our personality. It would be more fair and "real".
Yeah, but I think it's better that way. It would allow us to choose the house we are on Pottermore, instead of risking to fall in another. It would be "real-er" to pass a test, but remember that it's computer-assisted, so it is not precise, it's based on an algorithm, not in true mind-reading. My sister passed three times the test on Pottermore, and got sorted on different houses. (Twice in Ravenclaw, her _actual_ house, and once in Slitherin, which doesn't really match her.)
I passed it twice, once on a fanmade test that sorted me in Griffindor, and once on Pottermore which sorted me in Hufflepuff (which is the perfect match for me).
Long story short, I believe it is better to pass the PTM test, than choose the matching house in-Game.

Still waiting for that massive open world RPG in the HP world where we can make a character and live their life to the fullest and travel across continents and choose our own professions and cults (e.g. Death Eaters). That thing better come to PC.

Would be cool, but starting smaller would be nice as well. An open world game in the likes of BOTW, Witcher, AC Origins where you'd become a student of Hogwarts, and where you explore the castle and its surroundings, the lake, the forbidden forest, Hogsmeade etc., solve mysteries, and progress through a story that is quite linear but changes a bit depending on some key-choices (which house you're in, your grades or your house's points, etc.).
Your wand, broom, pet are basically your equipment that almost cannot lack in an RPG today. The wand is something personal, so it shouldn't be changed too much, thus the best way to do it is to make the wand equipable with things that improve its power, instead of changing the whole thing. Your pet is something you choose in the beginning and it stays with you for the rest of the time. Each pet increases one skill from 1% up to 20%, depending on how strong your bond with your pet is (giving an incentive to interact with it). The game practically writes itself.
We even already have maps, such as these three (increasing in detail):

It's very possible, nothing really obstructs it except for the rights to the material, and maybe some details, like how you'd deal with day-night cycle (since the HP world plays in the real world, which has 365 days, not more, not less. Since a school year is limited in days, this causes a little obstacle that can be solved though). It needs to happen, and it needs to happen far away from EA's hands. I would even be okay with Ubisoft, as that means 2 first weeks of full of bugs ("it's not a bug, it's magic") and only microtransactions that affect your character's appearance, I can live with that.

The worst game of all time. You continuously wait for an activity to be available, then after 10 minutes, you gotta wait 2 hours again. The only way to possibly enjoy it is a unlimited gem hack!

I absolutely adore this game , It’s fascinating that you can explore the world in Hogwarts and its truly magical the experience. Except that you have to wait hours for your energy bar to re full and if you don’t you have to pay diamonds. Its quite sad that that’s how it has to be, I will love if they changed that one little but important detail.

There's Harry Potter Lego Games that are open world and span across the whole seven years of storyline, the downside is that it's lego and has obviously a more 'kid-friendly' approach on certain things, plus a lot more comedy to things.
Despite that, Lego games tend to have very good gameplays if you're interested in having hours of gameplay to search for all the collectibles and unlockables.
