Shawn Cee he's given writing credit, a lot of people are on this album along with Kendrick, Kilo, J, Ty, and Rocky: Justin Vernon from Bon Iver, Ray J, Damon Albarn from Gorillaz, etc
yea it is, he didnt list any .ft because he didnt want people to go right to the track with their favorite artist, he wanted people to listen to it front to back and experience with out knowing what youre in for

I feel like the album title (cover) is in reference to how gold fish grow much larger than you'd ever expect when let loose in the wild, whereas they stay small relative to their container size. Similarly to how a person trapped in the confines of someone else's paradigm, behind bars, or in their own mind can never reach their full potential as long as they're stuck there. Break free of those restraints and you can grow much larger than anyone would've expected.
it also could be a testament to how vince had the same type of come up, he got into trouble often and lived in a city where the people in his position don’t make it out, so he was trapped mentally by the status quo, until he discovered music and realized he was talented enough to make something out of it and made it out because of it.
This album moves sooo fast, it finishes before it even starts. The fast pace element of the album is perfect for 2017 summer. Vince's tour is gonna be lit af.
I miss summer 2017, this has nothing to do with this album i just miss all the memories i made and how I'm no where as happy as i used to be. Things change so fast man.
David Awonaike Was it trash, or do you just not like it?? There's a difference. AE was an experimental masterpiece. Maybe you just don't like experimental hip hop. I don't know
Gianni zuniga I mean I think Atrocity Exhibition is a lot better in execution, but yea I totally agree both took really great risks and sound like albums I've never heard before
Hey Hey No disrespect, but I hate when people credit Yeezus for being a genre definer. Kanye was HEAVILY inspired by M.I.A's albums Maya and Matangi, and Death Grips. Kanye no doubt has numerous game changing albums, but Yeezus is not one of them.
+Nat Smith It was expected though at least to me... the sound of his music has changed drastically as far as production goes its a lot more edm and electronic ish which prima donna showed off.
Lmao Shawn that was Amy Winehouse, and the interview was about a man who was one of the main reasons she spiraled into addiction. It's not just some London girl.
this album is masterful conceptually and sonically, the best hip hop album of 2017 by far. since summertime 06 and primma donna vicne has proven himself as one of the most introspective and personalised rappers/artists. great artists constantly challenge themselves and push boundaries, vince has done that and succeeded
Shit the concept just clicked for me, damn this albums really great. wasn't the biggest Vince fan before but this album really made him stand out on his own as something unique on hip hop.
Riley Wright yo on his prima donna album he has a part where hes in a hotel and hes walking in this hallway and finds cobain ,hendrix, tupac, and amy winehouse.. i feel like vince has a thing for amy.
That wasn't just a random girl from London, that was Amy Winehouse. Talking about the relationship/guy that introduced her to the drugs and lifestyle that led to her death.
Muhammad Daiem idk I never liked him or Danny brown . I know they talented but for some reason they Voices hurt my ears . And I think Q has the best flow
Commandosoap777 i understand earl is an acquired taste. i fell in love with his music when i was depressed. check out wool from idlsidgo which features vince too
This album made my subwoofer's balls drop and even the interlude was a banger. I mean damn, we needed an interlude on a 36 minute album?!? Shit went hard af!
yea but all the countdown pics have bees on them and so do the shoes so it makes sense, it could just be a golf drop or something tho. im not gonna get my hopes up for an album
rachel boone he did, but he's denied releasing albums in the past and they still came out. if it does happen to be an album, that's just what I'm calling it. follow golf wang insider for info.
First time I listened to this album I got so freaking happy when Kendrick popped in on Yeah Right. I was like bouncing up and down. This is definitely the best album of the year so far for me.
Nah idk about that, this album definitely sounds expensive af considering what Vince's budget might be. It might have been risky by making it as experimental as it is and not commercializing it more. That being said, I see a lot of people now giving the album love, so it probably worked out for Vince in the end
Shawn Cee sorry to that Shawn..... and I just have to say that people are coming at you crazy on that video review....... sorry for that I guess people still haven't grasped that it's your opinion on how you see fit
When I listened to it here I said during the reaction "oh I get it" as in I understand where it fits in the place of the album, but the sound just throws me off whenever I hear it.
It took me time to let the songs grow on me similiar to all vince albums but once you get there, every song is fire and I just start banging the album cover to cover non stop, PARTY PEOPLE YES! PARTY PEOPLE I LIKE TO SEE YOU DANCE!
Damn Shawn, you're really on top of things. I watch you and Fantano for reviews and I've been waiting for him to review a bunch of stuff you've already done. Idk how you make such quality content so quickly but you deserve more subs.
The futuristic sound was inspired by Christian Rich, they produced most of the album. They've got a couple of projects which have this same experimental sound, their album FW14 is pretty dope
Shawn if you loved the production especially in the middle of Yeah Right that was all done by Flume (and SOPHIE) and Vince has done collaborations with Flume a lot like Smoke and Retribution but if you like that production style Flume's your man and Skin is the album
Stolen Youth is still my favorite Vince project but this album is dope as hell. I really appreciate that Vince never makes the same sounding project twice.
Ez now Shawn, I just watched your doom work and I'm a big fan of his, it was brilliant to see you discover his greatness and I remember the same feeling hearing him for the first time and replaying all his albums....I'd like to suggest edan, really out there but real hip hop gold.
I love this album, I know it was a divisive one, but I think it’s ahead of its time and people will look back on it well. Just my personal opinion though.
This album is amazing. You almost guessed the concept, but you were still off. This is about the african american community. This production reminds me of yeezus. This album is great
MAJOR L & apologies, no disrespect to Amy Winehouse(been about 4 years since I've listened to her) I didn't recognize her voice
Can you please review the new Quavo album ATL.
If he did i dont think it'd be pretty...
Hahahah lol. In my opinion it is a very good album there are only like two bad songs.
it was asap rocky on samo haha
Shawn Cee it was produced partly by flume
Yeah Right not only had a Kendrick Lamar feature, but had production credits from SOPHIE and Flume. Track was packed with star power lol.
sophie and flume really are genius producers
RIP

Shawn Cee he's given writing credit, a lot of people are on this album along with Kendrick, Kilo, J, Ty, and Rocky: Justin Vernon from Bon Iver, Ray J, Damon Albarn from Gorillaz, etc
oh yeah Flume and SOPHIE
CNTRAMARZ Ray J? 😂
yea it is, he didnt list any .ft because he didnt want people to go right to the track with their favorite artist, he wanted people to listen to it front to back and experience with out knowing what youre in for

TomsConscience out of all the interpretations of this album, this might be my favorite

Relates to Crab Bucket Theory, which is referenced in Crabs in a Bucket
All this time and that never came to my mind. Amazing
"211 got bread on me", Kendrick says that when the song is on 2:11
SCBWrestling omg I thought you where lying but yea it's true
SCBWrestling he also says 2 42s at 2:42
Kendrick verse was like your favorite cousin showing up out of nowhere during a cookout 😂
Perfect description dude 😂

@@dielitaoty5062hey bro, how’s the present been for you? I relate what you said.
This is a quality album
one of the most ambitious and rewarding albums since atrocity exhibition imo, vince has done something special here. if you can get into it, ofc..
DihStyle69 I'm not a huge Danny Brown fan, (XXX is great tho) but I love this album and Vince so...maybe I'm just weird
DihStyle69 atrocity exhibition was trash
David Awonaike
Was it trash, or do you just not like it?? There's a difference. AE was an experimental masterpiece. Maybe you just don't like experimental hip hop. I don't know
This album was amazing this and atrocity exhibition is pushing the boundaries of hip hop
Gianni zuniga I mean I think Atrocity Exhibition is a lot better in execution, but yea I totally agree both took really great risks and sound like albums I've never heard before
Gabriel Iaco atrocity exhibition is a masterpiece
+Hey Hey dude in no way did yeezus inspire atrocity exhibition, Danny's influences are much more experimental artists such as bjork
And probably drew like 0 influence from Yeezus for Atrocity Exhibition
this album requires more than just one listen, this shit will grow on everyone
T3MPZZZ Everyone consumes music differently. I know tons of people who've listened to it 6-10 times and hate it still
I was like nah the first time, then it took a minute came bak and now I'm bang it everywhere. Truss me he's living in 3017 with these wall bangers.
Dylan Morgan haha "he's living in 3017 with these bangers"
No lie that shit is true.
I feel this album will have the same treatment as Yeezus. It was a bit different for its time and people weren’t accustomed to it until later on
still a very underrated album to this day
Listen to this album with headphones, it's ridiculous
David pretty sure Shawn has a stereo with a sub. Sounds just as good, no headphones needed.
yeah but the sub bass on this album is hnggggggggggggg
David Or with a speaker
Stridevv If the speakers are set up correctly, the subtle dynamics will be clear.

On SAMO, Rocky is actually featured on the track.
The British woman speaking on the interlude track is Amy Winehouse btw
His reaction to Yeah Right was everything I wanted it to be
Shawn has no ears
ETM he has no legs
He's just a floating hoodie.
kyrell frazer i want to be a floating hoodie
ETM w so this whole time we have been listening to Shawns opinion on music but he actually can't hear anything
ETM He can't hear so he just has a bunch of reaction b-roll and synchs it to the music
VINCES ALBUM TOO INSANE
Vince staples and PC Music work together so well
Lmao Shawn that was Amy Winehouse, and the interview was about a man who was one of the main reasons she spiraled into addiction. It's not just some London girl.
i cringed through that whole clip
this album is masterful conceptually and sonically, the best hip hop album of 2017 by far. since summertime 06 and primma donna vicne has proven himself as one of the most introspective and personalised rappers/artists. great artists constantly challenge themselves and push boundaries, vince has done that and succeeded

Shit the concept just clicked for me, damn this albums really great. wasn't the biggest Vince fan before but this album really made him stand out on his own as something unique on hip hop.
The production on this album is great. Sounds like he's spent time in London with these types of beats
Flumes production on Yeah Right is so dope!
Onestrandedperson I thought it was Flume doing the production.
Vincent Turner Flume produced Kucka's verse (female vocals). The rest was produced by SOPHIE. SOPHIE also produced SAMO.
Onestrandedperson lmfao
This dude always keeps up with new album/mixtape releases I luv it
Just saying that London girl is Amy Winehouse
Riley Wright yo on his prima donna album he has a part where hes in a hotel and hes walking in this hallway and finds cobain ,hendrix, tupac, and amy winehouse.. i feel like vince has a thing for amy.

Commandosoap777 and earl doesn't have an annoying voice. danny brown does tho. but earl has one of the best voices in hiphop. so dark and menacing
Muhammad Daiem it's ironic u say that because him and Earl both think they have to get better than the other like a brotherly competition

Kendrick is expensive asf
