I like how you provided every small but important details of his mechanic. Not sure if you mentioned this, but kazuha's passive can be triggered off-field. Meaning his burst can help extend the duration of the passive buff, that's why his burst uptime is also important.

Personally, I think Kazuha's skill is the most fun skill to use, so I grinded an ATK/ANEMO/CRIT DMG set after EM/EM/EM. Killing swarms of weak enemies is always satisfying and Kazuha's the best at that. I love being able to show up to some random hilichurl or treasure hoarder camp and killing everything with one skill. I leveled up the Skill then normal attack (for plunge DMG) before the recommended burst. I have tons of fun playing him and he's become my first level 90 character. Took 85 wishes, though.

Eyyyy same but for me its Em/anemo/crt with like 600 plus em and hes been such a blast to play with i just hold his e and boom almost every enemy in my commissions just get one shot TvT im so glad he decided to come home
its just how swirl works and how often he swirls in his burst. plus vv makes it much better for the team if you have that elemental main dps that wants the enemy to be debuffed
a while back (like a year ago at this point) i managed to get him to do 75k in floor seven of abyss, i could probably try again now and get it a little higher. but he definitely makes the later abyss floors SO much easier! i don’t think i’ve ever done an abyss without him, and i got him back during his release.

I am with 150 ER and I am spamming the burst without any problem whatsoever. Of course it depends on the team too, because I am playing raiden hyper carry team and my raiden just farm particles with ease. Because of that my kazuha can run without a problem with low ER
one more thing about Kazuha, he can swirl the elements that are applied to him. So he always swirl the pyro in a bennett burst at his plunge, like how using the skill when has wet status inflict hydro swirls

People called him “expensive Sucrose” and many said that he would suck (which just tends to be a bunch of people for some weird reason before a character is officially out gdi), plus he was placed before Inazuma/Ayaka banner so, many people skipped him But, people quickly realized that he was actually good and now he hasn’t gotten hate since so uwu
I’ve been running Kazuha as my main since my first month. I honestly use Iron sting on him, along with triple em. I’m not sure where his er is at right now. But I’ve certainly not had a problem spamming his burst. An important thing to note is that his dmg scales off em, so even c0 could be doable as a dps like I’ve run him for the past year. Maybe I’ve not needed er cuz I got Raiden on her first banner, and she’s been a mainstay on my team like Kazuha.
ER is only important for c2 because to consisntenly get the 200EM buff if hes lower tehn c2 ult is dps loss if you swirl the wrong element in reaction teams since you steal the reaction of your main dps
TYSM for this, I've been a kazuhaver since his original banner yet thanks to this video, it made me understand as it helped me clarify his entire kit more comphrensively.
"Pretty much every damage dealer outside of geo can benefit from Kazuha". One geo team comp that benefits from Kazuha is microwave Zhongli, since Kazuha's pull is better and easier to utilize than Sucrose's or Venti's for this particular situation. Additionally, 2 anemo + 2 geo is the go to for Xiao users. So actually, even geo comps can benefit from him.
uh, no? geo dmg cant be vv swirled and microwave comp is never a reliable team to begin with (so doesnt make any sense why bring kazuha there while he can go some other teams that really benefits from having him, like international or vv vape), and double geo xiao are mostly a comfort team (the geos there are just for resonance for stronger zhongli shield) and sucrose is just way better there so she can generate extra anemo particles + ttds buff for xiao
I use double anemo & double geo for my Xiao team spiral abyss, but I don't use Kazuha since Jean much better for my playstyle & for geo I use Zhongli & Ningguang
Kazuha is the one that made it possible for raiden to run without electro dmg goblet. Those pieces are soooo hard to get with good stats. Atk sand, atk goblet, CR/CD circlet. You have a hyper carry raiden team. Fill the other two spots with any character that has high energy bursts and support capability.
A very fun team is Albedo, Kazuha, Diona, and Yelan (if you have them) A team where every character is boosting and amplifying each other and no one character needs to be in play which allows for smoother rotations as you dont have to end on any specific character (just make sure to albedo burst before you kazuha burst to line them up well) While albedo does cause shatter his damage output and EM boosting and shields help to keep your health protected for the short duration that diona's skill is on CD. It is an extremely fun team (xinqiu can replace yelan obviously too) that is just very smooth to play. Its only downside is that the water auto attack and albedo are your damage dealers at this point so while your team doesnt have a DPS you do in fact still have two characters that need investment to work optimally.
Really good guide. I wasn't aware how to properly double swirl with Xingqiu. So what I did with his E skill up was to apply E Q with Benett to get rid of the hydro aura. But when I Q with Benett I kept max distance to the enemy so that the rains words don't apply hydro again. And then with Kazuha I did the quick E. In that moment when Kazuha does his thing the Enemy has for a brief second hydro and pyro on his head before the reaction goes off. And that was how I made the double swirl. LoL. But this was sooo iffy and worked only half of the time. Could have saved me the trouble if I had known that hold E applies more Anemo and cleanses the status.
100% swear by Sacrificial Sword. Forget the "personal damage" even at rank one it's great for crowd control and at rank 5 it's Bomb for domains and the abyss. The information about his reactions is extremely helpful. Tytyty!
@@amalia4344 my main team is Yelan(80), Bennet(80), Kazuha(80) now C3 and Chongyun(60). I remember splitting them up during abyss at floor 6 and after. Bennet and Yelan were my main dps and the rest I used for elemental reaction buffs.

This doesn't matter. As long as you don't bring any Pyro characters in a Freeze team, you'll be fine (if you only apply Cryo and Swirl, you will obviously get the Cryo dmg bonus buff).

Pulled for the man himself and I am already having a blast without much building. Not only is extra elemental dmg and crowd control extremely advantageous, but the fact he's also got a really good movement advantage in his E is just amazing.

Sounds like we're kind of in the same boat. I'm a brand new player who rerolled until I got Jean. Now kind of stuck trying to decide whether I want to keep rolling after trying to pull Klee on my first pity roll and getting Keqing instead. Almost have enough for another 50 pulls but it's a tough choice since I don't have a lot of money to spend on games right now and this is all so confusing.
@@John_Austin I honestly think that if you got Welkin and did your daily commissions (if you have them unlocked yet, it’s pretty easy to though) you would most probably have enough pity to get a guaranteed Klee before her banner ends, but it’s up to you! I only mention Welkin because it’s 5 dollars for 90 primos a day for a month plus an automatic 300 genesis crystals so it would make getting her much easier. If you got around one wish a day (60 primos from daily commissions + 90 from Welkin + 10 from a quest or something) you would have around 76 pity which is right in the middle of soft pity. Ah, sorry if I rambled so much but just wanted to explain an option to you in case you didn’t know >~< And of course if you managed more than one wish on other days from chests or more quests, it would be faster

Still debating whether I should hold out for a good hydro DPS banner since I've already invested quite a bit in Bennett, Xiangling, Beidou, Jean and Kaeya. Hopefully we'll both have better pulls in the future, no matter which banners we decide to spend those hard-earned primogems on! :)
I got C1 Kazuha when he first came out now I have him at C3. He is now officially my favorite character. I love his design, gameplay, voice actor, and story moments. He’s just perfect in my eyes.

First time i pulled for Kazuha i got him to C1. I decided to only pull for Kazuha now and got him to C2 aiming for C6 to make him my main. I literally use him for everything, and he Carries my friendship farming groups.
Kazuha is amazing, i use him with my hutao team with thoma to apply pyro first, allowing kazuha to swirl and group so hutao can easily hit multiple with boosts. Also helps I randomly got freedomsworn when wishing twice to get fischl's bow (which I still cannot seem to get lol).
I finally got him after missing out on his first run. Even at a lower level he’s still going strong. I’ve been building an Ayaka freeze team and I already have Ayaka C1 and Shenhe C0 so getting Kazuha has helped a ton. Just need to either build Mona or wait for Kokomi to get another rerun.

After getting Kazuha, I went from not being able to pass floor 10, to 9 starring it AND floor 11. I wish I could have in on both teams, he's such a blessing

Kazuha was my first limited 5 star, and I did a ton of research for him. I ended up grinding for two sets of artifacts (EM and ATK/ANEMO DMG/CRIT). I switch to the second one every time I do overworld stuff like exploration, because he while he might not be as powerfil as other DPS, he's amazingly fun and it's so satisfying seeing hillichurls die so fast.
Kazuha went from underrated to overrated. The fact is that Kazuha, Sucrose, and Venti has their own niche and none of them are a must pull from progression stand point. - Sucrose offers decent grouping (even from off field), EM transfer and could be a really good on-field driver (this is her niche) - Kazuha offers elemental dmg boost, decent cc (on field only), EM transfer at C2 and being "fun" to play - Venti, on the other hand, is a cheat code. He makes certain content "idk what's the word" not viable (?). That's his niche and nobody can ever beat him at this. This is peak cc and grouping

Kazuha is fun and engaging to play, he has a great grouping ability and he can boost your hypercarry a lot more. Venti has an undisputed best grouping ability and can refunds energy to 1 element at a time Sucrose has a mix of grouping, EM transfer, and can be an exceptional driver in certain teams

Actually, I am using a mixed kit with energy recharge main, some EM and somehow give him prototype rancor though I have favonius and iron sting because I need him to be a physical backup for my Yanfei-Xingqiu-Bennet team. (I didn't stack too much EM because he's lv50) Actually, even though I only have 20 or less characters, I am lucky enough to get most important buffers.

Thanks for this guide, even I have him since 1.6 on my 2nd acct but I just know that with holds skill to double swirl element, and now I pulls him on my main acct and got him at 75 pulls & his weapon at 76 pulls, won 5050 on both banner, now I'm saving for dendro character 😋
I personally use iron sting on him because I don't need much ER because FOR SOME REASON 3 OF MY ARTIFACTS ALL GOT EXACTLY 10.4% ER SUBSTATS AND AFTER HAVING HIM FOR A YEAR I JUST NOTICED. Using him with c1 and heizou literally recharges energy so fast it's insane.
Another way to get the double swirl buff is to apply hydro on the enemy first, then Bennet ult. Benny ult will vape and leave behind a little hydro on the enemy. Then when you do kazuha E it will swirl hydro removing the rest of the hydro, then swirl pyro on the plunge even if you use tap. In the end using the hold is more consistent since it works even if you don't swirl apply hydro first, but the advantage here is that you get to vape Benny burst
Actually, for the artifacts, there is another option. For a sub-dps build, em, em/anemo dmg%/crit/em is a decent multi choice. You don’t NEED to run full em, because 300-500 em is more than enough. I think it’s been proven too much em can bring “diminishing” returns. The special mainstats on artifacts should always have EM on the sands, but the goblet and circlet can vary
Kazuha has multiple dmg type so i think goblet should also be EM. I personally run cursed blade with EM EM crit for the looks and his personal dmg to clear out the mobs.
kazuha doesnt really have diminishing returns on em like other characters do from a buff standpoint because of his elemental damage bonus share which gets higher at a fixed percent rate the more you stack it

Oh wow, I though that I would be using Kazuha tap skill whenever it is a boss or a single enemy but this video enlightened me on how to get double swirl cause I didn't pay attention that his hold skill removes the existing element the way up, so yeah unless it's overworld enemies or exploration I guess I am always going to use hold Skill whenever I want double swirl :)

I had a guarantee on kazuha and now I've put him in my main team(freeze) So far he's great for speeding cryo so I can focus on hydro application with yelan's burst and just shred them with Chongyun after that

Farming VV set since Ayaka banner started, lmao only 1 VV 5 star EM sands, yet to get even a 4 star VV EM goblet or circlet lol. EM circlet drop rates are too horrible.
Tho many people don't hate him (anymore), he got such a huge backlash and was so trushed even before his release... It was very painful, I'm glad he's not being hated new days.

I never see crazy numbers when I use him. My clear times tell the story though. I'm clearing things so much quicker so the damage must be there lol.
Because against multiple enemies, anemo cc grouper that allow aoe damage to be optimize is better than just high single target damage.

if you hit the 160-180 threshold for his ER in artifact substats, iron sting will be better.

But when I Q with Benett I kept max distance to the enemy so that the rains words don't apply hydro again. And then with Kazuha I did the quick E. In that moment when Kazuha does his thing the Enemy has for a brief second hydro and pyro on his head before the reaction goes off. And that was how I made the double swirl. LoL. But this was sooo iffy and worked only half of the time. Could have saved me the trouble if I had known that hold E applies more Anemo and cleanses the status.
100% swear by Sacrificial Sword. Forget the "personal damage" even at rank one it's great for crowd control and at rank 5 it's Bomb for domains and the abyss. The information about his reactions is extremely helpful. Tytyty!
Just started playing Genshin a month ago and went from 4-1 all the way to 9-2 abyss because of c2 Kazuha. The dude literally helped my team smack.

@@amalia4344 my main team is Yelan(80), Bennet(80), Kazuha(80) now C3 and Chongyun(60). I remember splitting them up during abyss at floor 6 and after. Bennet and Yelan were my main dps and the rest I used for elemental reaction buffs.
I lost 50/50 to qiqi and just got Kazuha a couple minutes ago, came back to watch this video again before I solidify his build. Thanks for creating such helpful content~

Considering I was thinking of using Kazuha in a cryo/freeze comp the fact that Cryo is last saddens me. Sooo time to make a melt/Vape team for Kazuha :D
you can still swirl cryo if you inflict the enemy with cryo from Diona's skill and then swirl
ur still always getting cryo regardless, standard freeze comp rotations will always start with off field application of cryo to be swirled
This doesn't matter. As long as you don't bring any Pyro characters in a Freeze team, you'll be fine (if you only apply Cryo and Swirl, you will obviously get the Cryo dmg bonus buff).
I have a cryo team as well Ayaka, Kaeya/Rosaria, Xingqiu and Kazuha. Just don't bring a pyro character.

Pulled for the man himself and I am already having a blast without much building. Not only is extra elemental dmg and crowd control extremely advantageous, but the fact he's also got a really good movement advantage in his E is just amazing.

Sounds like we're kind of in the same boat. I'm a brand new player who rerolled until I got Jean. Now kind of stuck trying to decide whether I want to keep rolling after trying to pull Klee on my first pity roll and getting Keqing instead. Almost have enough for another 50 pulls but it's a tough choice since I don't have a lot of money to spend on games right now and this is all so confusing.
@@John_Austin I honestly think that if you got Welkin and did your daily commissions (if you have them unlocked yet, it’s pretty easy to though) you would most probably have enough pity to get a guaranteed Klee before her banner ends, but it’s up to you! I only mention Welkin because it’s 5 dollars for 90 primos a day for a month plus an automatic 300 genesis crystals so it would make getting her much easier. If you got around one wish a day (60 primos from daily commissions + 90 from Welkin + 10 from a quest or something) you would have around 76 pity which is right in the middle of soft pity. Ah, sorry if I rambled so much but just wanted to explain an option to you in case you didn’t know >~<
And of course if you managed more than one wish on other days from chests or more quests, it would be faster

I got the Welkin early on as it seemed to be the best value for someone on a budget and I'll probably renew it again when it expires. Still debating whether I should hold out for a good hydro DPS banner since I've already invested quite a bit in Bennett, Xiangling, Beidou, Jean and Kaeya. Hopefully we'll both have better pulls in the future, no matter which banners we decide to spend those hard-earned primogems on! :)
I got C1 Kazuha when he first came out now I have him at C3. He is now officially my favorite character. I love his design, gameplay, voice actor, and story moments. He’s just perfect in my eyes.
Day one of him dropping I got him. Saved up wishes just because I heard he was coming. Finally got my favorite character!

First time i pulled for Kazuha i got him to C1. I decided to only pull for Kazuha now and got him to C2 aiming for C6 to make him my main. I literally use him for everything, and he Carries my friendship farming groups.
Kazuha is amazing, i use him with my hutao team with thoma to apply pyro first, allowing kazuha to swirl and group so hutao can easily hit multiple with boosts. Also helps I randomly got freedomsworn when wishing twice to get fischl's bow (which I still cannot seem to get lol).
I finally got him after missing out on his first run. Even at a lower level he’s still going strong. I’ve been building an Ayaka freeze team and I already have Ayaka C1 and Shenhe C0 so getting Kazuha has helped a ton. Just need to either build Mona or wait for Kokomi to get another rerun.
lost to jean last banner and though i was saving for raiden shogun i decided to spend the guarantee on kazuha and i don't regret it so far!

Kazuha was my first limited 5 star, and I did a ton of research for him. I ended up grinding for two sets of artifacts (EM and ATK/ANEMO DMG/CRIT). I switch to the second one every time I do overworld stuff like exploration, because he while he might not be as powerfil as other DPS, he's amazingly fun and it's so satisfying seeing hillichurls die so fast.

Kazuha went from underrated to overrated. The fact is that Kazuha, Sucrose, and Venti has their own niche and none of them are a must pull from progression stand point.
- Sucrose offers decent grouping (even from off field), EM transfer and could be a really good on-field driver (this is her niche)
- Kazuha offers elemental dmg boost, decent cc (on field only), EM transfer at C2 and being "fun" to play
- Venti, on the other hand, is a cheat code. He makes certain content "idk what's the word" not viable (?). That's his niche and nobody can ever beat him at this. This is peak cc and grouping
@@nhathuytran5055 nope, still a cheat code on *his niche.* Which might not be on abyss floor 12 anymore, but still a broken af. Also, you *can* actually learn to aim his burst well. You just need practice and knowledge

Kazuha is fun and engaging to play, he has a great grouping ability and he can boost your hypercarry a lot more.
Venti has an undisputed best grouping ability and can refunds energy to 1 element at a time
Sucrose has a mix of grouping, EM transfer, and can be an exceptional driver in certain teams

Actually, I am using a mixed kit with energy recharge main, some EM and somehow give him prototype rancor though I have favonius and iron sting because I need him to be a physical backup for my Yanfei-Xingqiu-Bennet team. (I didn't stack too much EM because he's lv50) Actually, even though I only have 20 or less characters, I am lucky enough to get most important buffers.
(silly idea to give him a physical sword… because I don't need his burst as much as Bennet and Xingqiu and I put tons of ATK on him)

I personally use iron sting on him because I don't need much ER because FOR SOME REASON 3 OF MY ARTIFACTS ALL GOT EXACTLY 10.4% ER SUBSTATS AND AFTER HAVING HIM FOR A YEAR I JUST NOTICED. Using him with c1 and heizou literally recharges energy so fast it's insane.
Same lol my flower has 22 percent energy recharge.
I spent all of my 9000 primos for Kazuha but lost the 50/50 to Mona :'( But i won't give up on him because there are still 19 days left:)

Another way to get the double swirl buff is to apply hydro on the enemy first, then Bennet ult. Benny ult will vape and leave behind a little hydro on the enemy. Then when you do kazuha E it will swirl hydro removing the rest of the hydro, then swirl pyro on the plunge even if you use tap.
In the end using the hold is more consistent since it works even if you don't swirl apply hydro first, but the advantage here is that you get to vape Benny burst
Actually, for the artifacts, there is another option.
For a sub-dps build, em, em/anemo dmg%/crit/em is a decent multi choice. You don’t NEED to run full em, because 300-500 em is more than enough. I think it’s been proven too much em can bring “diminishing” returns. The special mainstats on artifacts should always have EM on the sands, but the goblet and circlet can vary
Kazuha has multiple dmg type so i think goblet should also be EM. I personally run cursed blade with EM EM crit for the looks and his personal dmg to clear out the mobs.
kazuha doesnt really have diminishing returns on em like other characters do from a buff standpoint because of his elemental damage bonus share which gets higher at a fixed percent rate the more you stack it

Oh wow, I though that I would be using Kazuha tap skill whenever it is a boss or a single enemy but this video enlightened me on how to get double swirl cause I didn't pay attention that his hold skill removes the existing element the way up, so yeah unless it's overworld enemies or exploration I guess I am always going to use hold Skill whenever I want double swirl :)

Kazuha was my first 5 star (other than traveller) and there was 1 hour 24 minutes left on his rerun banner so I paid $83 to get him because I didn't want to wait for him to get his rerun again
I got triple kazuha in a 10 pull miraculously and his weapon at early pity on 20 never had this before

Farming VV set since Ayaka banner started, lmao only 1 VV 5 star EM sands, yet to get even a 4 star VV EM goblet or circlet lol. EM circlet drop rates are too horrible.
Tho many people don't hate him (anymore), he got such a huge backlash and was so trushed even before his release... It was very painful, I'm glad he's not being hated new days.
Also, every character with elemental absorption can absorb the element on themselves. like the Traveler's wind blade
