You forgot to mention her strongest team, also the current best team in the game which is (raiden furina, yelan, jean).
Seeing this comment a lot. Fantastic team that isn’t really bound to an archetype.
Apologies for those disappointed about a lack of mention but the original cut of the video was almost 25 minutes long. Had to leave some stuff out and since this all 5 star team is probably hard to attain for many players, it quickly got cut along with taser which I tied together in the original script.
So in her "current best team" she's a strict downgrade to Hutao? And it's not even Tao's best team? Kinda sad honestly.
replace yelan with neuvellete and then you have the best team in the game
@@michaelbones7536 that is Hu Tao's current best team. It outperforms standard doublehydro due to VV shred, and is more comfortable rotation wise then double hydro kazuha.
As long as you are below a certain level of investment, because hyper investment teams a kinda wack.

Tao-Yelan-Furina-Bennett performs better than Jean variation (although I'm personally not a big fan of Bennett with Furina), but they both lose to the old Tao-Yelan-Kazuha-Bennett. Despite first impressions, even c0 Yelan keeps up with Tao no problem. And if you prefer ease-to-play, double hydro with Zhongli will be the best.
Finally a comment section where the viewers aren't attacking the youtuber for saying Raiden is great and who don't keep calling her Mid 😂😅 everyone is surprisingly very respectful here :3

Indeed, there's suprisingly alot of videos on Raiden that have full blown Raiden hate on them for whatever reason.
Videos compairing Navia to Raiden are especially toxic with the Navia fanboys.

As far as navia is concerned,sure she beats Raiden in DPS coz all her eggs go to that basket,but Raiden isn't too far behind her even at c0

And that Navia is an infinitely better unit(despite being niche to main DPS and 0 elemental reactions outside of crystalize)
Even some videos in my recommends state that Raiden isn't all that good and requires C2 instead of C2 being one of the best constellations. They act like they have a personal grudge.

I mean anyone benefitted from Furina/Bennet comp. It’s broken as hell and makes geo MC deal 100k on E. this is why people rave about Navia too

You are probably misinterpreting what people are saying, her hypercarry version did get worse and its basically mid to today's standards, but she is op in hyperbloom which you have to be done to not play it over hypercarry raiden at least at c0
@@UryuCifer her hypercarry version competes with the very best and has one of the fastest boss clear times, but then again the difference between speed runs between different characters and Raiden are like milliseconds to 1 second so that doesn't really fit in "mid" imho, and she's one of the easiest and most flexible hypercarries period.

@viego29 thats like the most false and copium statement ive ever seen, she does not compete at all. She doesn't even compete to her full EM version which is basically a whole tier above if not 2.
For the Raiden hypercarry team comp examples at 4:45, while Fischl and Yae Miko can be used very well as secondary electro characters for the team, the team stops being a Raiden hyprcarry team in the traditional sense since Fischl and Yae Miko's primary role is to deal damage, not buff Raiden's potential. An actual replacement for Kujou Sara in a traditional hypercarry team is actually Lisa due to her defense shred, and I was surprised she wasn't mentioned at all, since she is a popular team mate for Raiden in hypercarry scenarios.
I’ve noticed a lot of people don’t take her into consideration. I’ll be honest I didn’t notice her utility until she got a new outfit I liked and started playing her.
you could use c... c2? i think it's c2. c2 klee too to shred even more def, though that's a lot more niche.
although lisa gets a LOOOOOOOT better with high cons too. the extra bolts for her burst are a game changer.
@@lorraineviruet8973 People tend to dismiss starter characters a lot. It's not a Genshin only issue. Lisa and Kaeya are a lot better than people give them credit for, and while Amber doesn't have anything particularly amazing about her, she can still clear Abyss just fine.
Actually, Fischl and Yae Miko can be classified as Raiden's buffers. Because they charging her Chakra for DPS.
people don't mention characters that are 4* or not popular, that's why lisa was not mentioned, and this happens with other characters, like Yanfei, and 5*like Tighnari.
I've been seeing comments and videos saying she's mid, no longer good etc. But for a newbie like me who needs a DPS needs this kind of supporting video. I know Raiden is a good investment and she can be long term char. So I'll definitely pull for her.

^^^^ You can run her as a trigger for Hyperbloom or maybe even Aggravate. She may not be the best DPS but she's possibly one of the most versatile units in the game.
People have a long-standing habit of underselling Raiden. "She doesn't work with Beidou therefore not good," "Raiden national has the best single target damage out of the national teams, but international is better unconditionally because I said so," "there's no difference between Raiden and Kuki." You almost can't take what people say about Raiden seriously considering how, more times then not, the assessment is wrong.

I’m in the same boat. I have the hu tao vape team but I’ve been using national team with mona instead of xingqiu and heizou as the main dps. I’ve been dying for raiden to replace heizou as a real dps lol, and now i get chevreuse to replace mona too!

This video is really helpful because i have been trying to build Raiden for the longest time, but didn't know where to start.
This guide is so helpful considering her banner comes with Benny and Chevreuse and it's super helpful to new players. As a C0 day 1 Raiden player who's seen her roles change and develop over time, she still performs really well. I might go for C2 Raiden.

9:55 another thing to note about kuki vs raiden hyperbloom is that theoretically raiden has higher ceiling since her coordinated attacks can occur every 0.9 seconds, while kuki triggers her ring only every 1.5 seconds. though this also depends on how much blooms you can generate in the timeframe between the electro application.
Raiden also has "infinite" range in her electro application with the caveat of only hitting near the enemy (if the enemy is not near the blooms, you can't hyperbloom, this problem is very noticeable if you're fighting the narwhale weekly boss where raiden's coordinated attacks apply near its head while your blooms are just chilling next to you)
Kuki on the other hand has almost exactly the opposite properties of raiden. Kuki's electro application is only near you

You missed a team, Raiden with "Fluxtape core". The team is Raiden, Yelan, Furina & Jean. In this specific team Raiden has the typical DPS build but the goblet should be ATK%.

Could I substitute yelan for xingqiu? I plan on pulling for furina in 4.6 and we don’t know when yelan will be back and I’ve seen the power of this team and really want to execute it
@@Bestraidenmain you could, but the damage potential will be slightly lower, as Yelan's A1 passive buffs the active character. And as she's more offensive unit than Xingqiu.
What sands for Raiden here?

As someone that don't have a lot, my lineup consists of Yanfei, Raiden, Keiya and Sayu. 3 of them are nice except for Keiya, just found it difficult to have a proper EM reaction cycle with his skill. But he's around to help me with the pyro enemies so, yeah.
It’s worth noting between gilded dreams and paradise lost: paradise does do more hyper loom damage, but gilded will add even more damage to quicken reactions, allowing you to do more if your raider is built.
You can also use Tighnari for on field Dendro hyperbloom
I was debating on getting her. I'm about 50 pity in. I got one Chevreuse and feel like I should count my blessings lol
I just now got the raiden shogun and I love her
I was planning on getting all the archons in this game and finally I was able to get her yesterday (Archons complete hehe), won 50/50 after 40pulls from getting C1 Furina, then after another 10 pulls got her C1. Hopefully ill be able to get her to c2 before her banner ends. Maybe next rerun ill get her weapon since I only spend 1 monthly pass. ❤
You're overlooking a new set that works very well on Raiden, the Golden troupe set
It's criminal that Raiden and Beidou can't work together, considering Beidou is one of my favorite characters. But alas, not a huge loss because Fischl exists :P I can do aggravate with Fischl+Beidou on one half and then Raiden can do national or Furina-taser on the other.
My current Raiden team is Yanfei, Raiden, Zhongli, and Bennett. It's one of my favorites, and I almost always use it in Spiral Abyss.
people (youtubers) never mention Yanfei! I main her.
You might wanna add the Chevruse potential to replace Kazuha in the hypercarry team, relieving him to other teams like International or Freeze.
I dont think any Archon is going to die out (even Furina).
Hopefully that trend continues! Dunno if it's just me but I would find it oddly nice if all the archons were powerful gameplay-wise as a nod to their power lore-wise, even after losing their Gnoses.
@@Meowreii would be interesting to see hoyo add in a post gnosis variation. Assuming that the one's we have now was before losing the gnosis. In this case a buff for Furina, in a form of recombining her with Focalor and make them whole again as a TRUE ARCHON. But of course just wishful thinking.

It’s just moonpiercer but worse to raiden but generally it’s a more billet efficient weapon due to being better than moonpiercer for any other EM polearm users
My team was Raiden, DMC, Qiqi and Xinqui.
Now its Raiden, Nahida, Jean and Furina.
Its a hyrbid raiden with her signature, ER sands, EM goblet and Circlet.
Even at C0 im clearing any abyss boss in 1 burst rotation.
Is you switch nahida with yelan you will get current best team in game

Im already clearinv floor 12 bosses in 1 rotation with this team, a Yelan isnt going to make that any easier.

I was on 69th pull and with a guaranteed pity on this banner and was hoping to get Nahida. I was like "just 1 more 4 star what could go wrong." Then something gold came out and here I am watching a Raiden guide. Damn
Personally, i do use kuki with raiden. My team is raiden, nahida, xingqiu and kuki. I dont need yao yao despite having her since nahida's dendro application is insane. I guess kuki is there for a little bit of extra dmg and to make sure ALL those lil bombs are hyperbloomed away.

Did you see solunas recent video about hybrid raiden where he runs all em on emblem, staff of scarlet sands, and a team with furina and nahida? Pretty interesting way to dip into both raiden archetypes i think

I'm planning to build a team with Raiden, Yoimiya, Chevreuse, and still deciding on the fourth one. How should I build Raiden??? EM or Main DPS?
It should be noted it is possible to trigger Beidou’s burst while Raiden is active with her burst you just need to use Childe.
Childe has a riptide mechanic that mostly only procs when he is the active character, except for one. Whenever any character kills an enemy with the riptide status their riptide status will do AoE hydro damage to nearby enemies and this form of riptide damage counts as normal attack damage.
This becomes more consistent if you have Tartaglia’s C4 which states every 4 seconds Tartaglia is not on the field all enemies with the riptide status will take damage from riptide - this riptide damage also counts as normal attack damage.
As far as I know Tartaglia is the only character that can deal normal attack damage off field, which means he could fix the Beidou + Raiden burst issue so long as Raiden’s killing enemies to trigger riptide.
New player here (I started then quit then start again) just hit ar 30 and I'm gonna main her and hu Tao with chevreuse because I like her now I need a fourth character

i have a question, on full EM raiden, i've been using kitain cross spear, mostly because it looks great on her, but elemental skill dmg bonus + a bit of EM, its not a bad option, or so i thought, does anybody know if its really that good? i already have a nahida boosting her EM so i don't feel like i'm losing too much EM.
Question: Im having xingqui and raiden on the same team with alhaitham, is it okay to build the two of them with Emblem of severed fate?
I just got Raiden Shogun Yesterday with just 1600 primogems man i got shocked when i get her
Ngl i know its very strange but a god teir team for some reason is xiao, raiden, kazuha, and a dps barbara/ kokomi. Raidens skill, then kazuhas skill followed by a kazuha burst, then a raiden burst for only the opening slash, followed by another raiden skill and xaio spam plunge. I usually don't even finish the combo before im done but if they somehow survive or your Raiden isn't fully built yet, just use another raiden skill and a dps barbara or kokomi burst. The the bubble paired with the auto slash from raidens skill clears instantly.
Edit: maybe i just invested way too much time into my team but i have Raiden at C0 and never seem to have the energy problems people complain about. After my full combo all the bursts are usually fully replenished so i can keep spamming the combo till everyone is dead.
For Quickbloom Raiden, should she be on full EM, full EOSF or EOSF with EM sands? TYIA

I got Raiden during her past rerun and she's never left my team since. I just crowned get burst today. with Bennett burst and diluc on the team for +25% attack she's easily hitting 60k with her burst and that's with trash artifacts.
My only downside is that I have horrible luck farming the emblem domain. I've been farming that domain for a year now and and I still don't have a cracked set

After losing my 50-50 with ayato it finally feels good with raiden shogun. But it would be even better with ayato. I mainly want her as off-field battery as i've got heizou as my main dps, but i already have yae miko so i guess i have to replace her. And for for healer i've got noelle from the first day but i feel like i have to replace her too 😢
just do what i do:
zhongli, nahida, ei, xinqiu (archon team)
- constant defense shred from zhongli
- constant aggravate
- constant hyperbloom
- constant energy replenishing/burst from ei
- constant electrocute staggered enemies/mobs
- constant em booster from nahida
even better if you have only nahida at c2 for hyperbloom crit and aggravate defense shred

200% is really low for Raiden, I Suggest atleast 220- 230% ER
I think he meant 200% from stats specifically. Since Raiden ascends with ER 200% from artifacts and weapon would put her at 236% with ascension.
So as a f2p, should i pull her even if i can only have her at c0? A lot of people kept saying she's not really that good at c0, and you could just swap her for another electro character. But I'm a new player (just started a month ago) so i don't know much tbh and I've only just reached Inazuma today.
Yeah, she's definitely worth it. She still does decent damage at C0. Now that you unlocked Inazuma, you can find the domain that has the artifacts she needs to be OP.

How well do you think Diluc could work in the overload team with chev? I don’t have the other pyro dps
He can work but the reason I recommend long range damage dealers is because the overload knockback against smaller enemies can be troublesome for someone like Diluc. However, against boss enemies you should have no issue with this.
Is The Catch > Staff of Homa ? I hv been using Homa on Xiangling before

Heyaa guys I need your opinion/suggestion, I'm returning player with a limited choices literally I have less than 20 character but luckily I got C0 Raiden (with Engulfing Lightning lvl20 *got it like couple of mins ago), C1 Bennett, C1 Sara, C1 Chevereuse, and C1 Sucrose. So I need help with choosing between Chevereuse and Sucrose for my team.
I just started genshin and I got 51 pulls on the banner now and I hope I don’t have the reach pity or lose my first 50/50

I have c0 raiden with r1 catch 62/124 crit 230 er 1400 atk emblem X4 talent skill and burst lvl 4 but maximum burst DMG I am getting is around 17k - 25 k😢😢😢 when will I get 1,00,000 burst dmg

I've wanted Jean since i started playing, why hasn't she had a rerun in the last year or two? Cant recall exactly when i started! LOL Anyway im AR 35 with a BUNCH of lvl 70's, pulled Raiden, Yomiya and C6 worth of Cheveruse. once i build a nice stack of accession and hero book type stuff for my fav 2 teams I'll finally raise my AR.

depends on if you really want raiden, imo she’s a better investment for your account than navia or ayaka as she can be used in a large amount of teams. i say get raiden and just spend some time getting those other characters up, unless you’d rather have navia or ayaka purely on their character

gotta save up another 50k primos ;( tough times. also lost 50/50 and got my jean to c6 so its not the worst, i like jean.

Yes! You can use navia in one team and raiden on the second one!
Might pull for her c2 but have heard some complaints how it’s hard to get energy in overworld due to everything dying immediately. Just really want Sara constellations and Cheveruse

tbh she is not a overworld character anyways even on c0, and at some point you can get to enough strength with correct teams that you wont even need her c2 or her own wpn
For overworld we have zhongli, yelan, wanderer and furina. That should cover all overworld activities, horizontal and vertical mobility, water crossing, shield, heal, and dmg

atk sands is better if you are NOT using engulfing lightning, if you have engulfing er sands will be better though
my raiden looks a bit more like that hydro mage that goes into water on sprinting, idk why..
my raiden has 54/164 crit ratio and 274 energy recharge with r5 catch. Is this okay or i need go for better artifact farm?

Very odd to see a 16-min Raiden build video that mentions Furina only once, and in a Sunfire comp of all places. No mention in the hypercarry section, upgrades of Raiden teams from new expansions, etc. Little refreshing in a way since most other vids don't stop saying her name, but probably makes this guide a bit incomplete as a one-stop-shop for newer Raiden players.
