We lived in the same apartment building in Atlanta as Kenny Rogers and his wife, Wanda. We crossed paths with him once in an elevator, but I would see her often, and I remember her as always smiling and being very friendly. So sad when he passed away but I’m pleased to hear that she’s doing well.

It was an amazing night , a first year anniversary celebration for my husband and I, he knew it was my dream to see the man in concert. I was aware of 4 of his 5 marriages… and seeing MaryAnn Gordon Rogers on HeeHaw every Friday night… seeing Kenny as a special guest. He was the undisputed King of Country and some of his music even made the pop charts. It’s amazing what a legacy he’s left . I’m glad to see all of his wives have “ moved on “ . He was ( well …. Always liked Kenny Rogers. Enjoyed his Gambler Movies 🎥 and McShane TV Movies as well. Ken Kragen, his Manager, was a Genius at Marketing and Managing his career. Lionel wrote some beautiful Songs for him that were massive hits. His personal life seemed tumultuous…but none of my business. Every one I’ve ever met that knew him, genuinely liked him. I was divorced at 20 and she committed suicide looking for her fourth husband. I’ve been blessed to be with my second wife for 47 years seven kids I’m LDS and I am sealed to her for time and eternity. That’s my belief and I’m happy with it. It’s amazing and wonderful how love gets deeper and richer the longer you are with your spouse. If you’re lucky to find a good one it takes two to tango.

He was just another example of another built-up chauvanistic sexist male,with a couple of hit songs,who made a lil' money,but constantly trying to make up for his many other shortcomings by replacing woman after woman,child after child...His life was really just the oldest of a very 'sad' story,but sooo transparent. I always feel for the children left from these weak men's destructive patterns...😲🤔🥺....

I was lucky enough to see Kenny Rogers in a smaller-sized Showroom in the early 1990s at the Las Vegas Hilton. His show was so entertaining due to his conversation with the audience in between songs. Seeing him was a great experience that I will never forget. My favorite song was his duet with Dolly “Islands in the Stream” which was very popular in 1983 and early 1984. I was planning my Wedding Day during that time. Whenever I hear that Song, I am flooded with wonderful memories of that time in my life! ❤
I grew up listening to his songs in my dad's car in the 80's. Loved his songs. Later in the 2000's I noticed him checking in for a flight as I was an employee on the ground crew for a major airline. He was all by himself as it was about 5 a.m. I was almost building up the courage to go talk to him and tell him how much his music meant to me because I always think of my deceased father who passed away when I was 26 . But I didn't do it. I got nervous thinking I would bother him. Wish I would have told him how important his music was to me. I always regret that.

No, but in 1969 I lived in Houston & babysat for little girl named Chantal. I remember several occasions, when Chantal’s Mom, Vickie was going out on a date with a country singer named Kenny Rogers. Years later, as a fiddler, I joined a country band in Albuquerque & finally figured out who Kenny Rogers was! After that I continued to follow his career, but never met him again.
Most of his Albums especially when he teamed with Dolly Pattern.The. best albums about him they were inspiring and one that comes to my mind immediately is THE BEST OF KENNY ROGERS especially WE HAVE GOT TONIGHT.I loved even his last farewell well song from Dolly Patten .They are my favourites with their inspiring music.I learnt a lot from their music which acted like I was getting instruction from the teacher in a classroom music teaches a lot about life.Thanks to all musicians.

I'm an artist and did some work in Kenny's Atlanta estate for a short time. Both he and his wife (Wanda) were quite friendly and down-to-earth people. Yes, he was definitely a pleasant man, with a wonderful talent. Blessings to the Rogers family.

Most of his Albums especially when he teamed with Dolly Pattern.The. best albums about him they were inspiring and one that comes to my mind immediately is THE BEST OF KENNY ROGERS especially WE HAVE GOT TONIGHT.I loved even his last farewell well song from Dolly Patten .They are my favourites with their inspiring music.I learnt a lot from their music which acted like I was getting instruction from the teacher in a classroom
