    Great recipe. Can't wait to try it. I don't have the Wolfgang Puck Rice Cooker, but I recently purchased a Cook's Essential Digital Perfect Cooker. Same principal. So thanks for sharing your recipes.

      fulluvjoy I have seen that cooker. Will work fine. Just add a little bit more pasta as the cooker is a little bigger. Enjoy!

      Anthony Cappiello so glad you liked it! My halogen oven is the Big Boss Oil Less Fryer. It's been fantastic. A friend has the Fagor halogen oven and it is good too.

    How much pasta Kennett rice cooker hold?

    • @ThirdStreetKitchen
      @ThirdStreetKitchen  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pasta expands a bit so I keep it at half the pot or under when dry.

    My pasta was good, but it came out a bit tough. How do I make it softer? Do I add more water? I used 1 1/2 cups of dry penne pasta, 3/4 cup water and 3/4 cup of Alfredo sauce.

    • @ThirdStreetKitchen
      @ThirdStreetKitchen  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      thelostgirl101 I would add a bit more water and give it a go the next time. Some pastas seem to need a bit extra I've found too. You can give it a smidge more time with that too. Good luck!

    does the cooking time on the pasta matter?

    • @tomellsworth2726
      @tomellsworth2726 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe pasta cookers turn off automatically when the water is absorbed by the pasta .I think the temp starts to rise so the rice cooker knows its done I have made this a few times now using Tyson crispy chicken strips and it is really good.

      momfrom NJ it's around double the amount of pasta and a bit more, depends if you like your past well cooked or al dente

  • @sherry866

    I don't know, somehow this doesn't make much sense to me. If you already are using a jarred sauce what is the point of using the rice cooker? Why not just boil the water put it in a pan add the sauce and then the shrimp ? Well Unless you don't own a Stove. I'm just Not getting the logic of this
