People with BPD (borderline personality disorder) combined with other mental health issues, are often frequent flyers within all areas of "the system."
Here's a story: My buddy is a police officer in a small city. He was on shift a few years ago around winter time. Him and his partner got a call from some old ladies who were walking through a park and found a young man sleeping ona bench, with no blanket and a small jacket while it was snowing These ladies were so lovely, they took off their jackets and scarves and places them on the man while they waited for the police. My buddy arrives and talks with the ladies. While they're talking the ladies are stroking the guys hair and telling him everything is alright now that the police are here. My friend pulls the guys hood back to see his face and immediately goes *sigh* "Tyler, god damnit, what are you doing here?" The guy gets up, knocks my friebd back and tries to run. He's tackled and the ladies are screaming because they fear that they've just ruined this guys life. My buddy explained to them, after putting Tyler in the warm car, that he was literally just released 2 hour ago and has strict orders to stay out of this park because he harasses people. Turns out he went right back there so that we could be arrested again since he wanted to go back to jail instead of a shelter. He also said that he pushed my buddy and tried to run so that he would be arrested for a longer period of time for resisting. My buddy bought him some food and coffee (on the down low and with the promise of no more shenanigans), and then took him back to jail just like he wanted (he left out the pushing in his report to avoid any assault charges for Tyler). Last I heard, Tyler has gotten some help, has a job, and apartment and is doing better and better. He has his bad moments, but he's trending upwards
Here’s a CRAZY idea. If she can’t stop doing illegal activities immediately after release…STOP RELEASING HER. Lock her up for a while, be it in jail or a hospital. She’s obviously not right in the head.
@@euge963 I mean we won't find out if we don't try. This person has some sort of mental compulsion to do this shit so either way it might be beyond her control so either way she should really be locked up and examined.
But the court keeps getting money this way. Conversely, putting her in prison actually costs them money. Considering how utterly stupid she is, she is a fantastic source of revenue, at least until she runs out of people willing to finance her bonds. Of course this is utterly disregarding stuff like victims and justice, but when have the courts actually cared about any of that stuff?
@@venoltar Do you have any idea what you're talking about? When a lunatic is repeatedly offending, failing to pay her fines and costs as well as likely using a public defender, that all is footed by taxpayers. A 10% or less bond that they keep from her skipping out on court hardly covers the costs of the repeated arrests and processing. Whether she is thrown in jail or repeatedly put through the system, the end result is a bill that the taxpayers will have to pay. She is very obviously not mentally well and needs to be put in a hospital, evaluated and rehabilitated, not thrown in a cell to be neglected until she pulls this same shit again. What do you mean by putting her in prison costs "them" money? Its footed by taxpayers, and the more people in jail, the more budget the department gets and the more cool toys they can play with. You don't think that the revenue from the court system goes straight into police and prisons, do you? www.brennancenter.org/our-work/analysis-opinion/analysis-court-fines-and-fees-government-revenue-shows-high-costs This study shows that some jurisdictions even spend MORE money trying to collect on fines and fees than they actually make in revenue from them. This is crazy about the US and why they have so many people going in and out of prison. It's so obvious she is mentally ill. The only solution is helping her with that, nothing else.
Wouldn’t it be funny if her brother told her to get into the wrong car just to fuck with her and she really wasn’t doing anything wrong. Her family just keeps setting her up every time she gets out just because they think it’s funny.

She keeps "going through this" because they keep letting her out. Keep her locked up a while or get her evaluated in a mental health facility. Releasing her and expecting a different result when she's put in exactly the same conditions over and over again is pure insanity.
I'm guessing its not that simple. You can't simply hold someone without charging them. When you charge them they get bailed and released. Probably until she does something more serious the law is preventing them holding her. You don't want the law allowing authorities to hold you, that isn't the issue. The issue is our communities, families, churches, neighbours, aren't setting standards or looking after each other. If she had clear boundaries and help, instead of just being dumped on the police constantly, this wouldn't be happening.
Judges make it very hard on police having to arrest the same offenders over and over. Way too much leniency given to criminals. We need more jails and harsher penalties.

I don't buy that she couldn't breathe, but asphyxiation takes time, it isn't immediate. I can be choking you out and you can still have enough breath to call out for help for a time. Each breath will come harder and harder as the asphyxiation becomes complete. Also, panic and anxiety attacks can make it feel like someone is unable to breathe, and being that she is a bit mentally unstable, to be charitable, and she was getting her ass thrown back in jail, I can believe that she was possibly having a panic attack.

We need more compassion (and to hold people accountable more as well).
she's a woman, thats +50 protection given to you by society. My male brother got assaulted at 4am while doing his job, he's now handicapped and the police did nothing for him, meanwhile a random girl at my school got her glasses broken and she got assaulted by other students late during the day, and the boys got arrested almost 3 days later at school, unbelievable!
As a former psych nurse, what is so completely sad about this is that there literally IS NO PLACE for this obviously sick woman. I first went into nursing as they were emptying out the mental health hospitals and have watched this country descend to this level of inhumanity. Because there is no place for someone in her condition, the jail & prison system deal with this EVERY DAY & no one wins
The issue is, mental hospitals are no place for people. Being held against your will for being a little different with no hope for freedom isn't what I consider good either. Having psychoactive drugs shoved down your throat or "you will stay longer if you refuse treatment" is not humane. As long as you break no laws, freedom is very healing. Given jail or a hospital, I will take the jail. At least there I have the right to self. They throw you in a cell and let you be. Sometimes we need to stop babying people and let them figure things out the hard way. Fuck you and the horse you rode in on.
As a psych patient, i can attest i have NEVER been to jail and this woman can grow the fuck up and get her own damn help. She refuses to grow up. She was never told no.

When my siblings and I used to rough house, we’d always resort to saying “I can’t breathe” whenever one of us got the upper hand, which lead to the other saying “if you can scream, you can breathe”
I usually watch these for my outrage fix, but this one just made me sad. She should be committed to a psych ward and kept there until she's able to think straight.
Time to reopen the state institutions. Releasing these people into society, hoping they take their meds looked good on paper but hasn't worked out in the real world.
Oh god, shes a nice encounter. She complained and resisted a little. But she didnt scream, call the cops racist, scream, say they hate all cops, scream some more, start insulting everyone, scream, get placed in the squad car, scream, kick the windows....spit, scream, yell at the cop the whole way back to the jail. Then scream. You get the picture. Edit: She did scream some at the end LOL
That audible taking in breath sound was amazing. Obviously you need to breathe in between the shouts to keep shouting. Sad state of affairs for anyone who's getting arrested and can't actually breathe... Misuse has rendered those words useless.
This is obviously a mental health case. Arresting her over and over again won’t accomplish anything, she needs to be evaluated in a facility and perhaps kept there until she’s stabilized
Sounds like the appropriate measure but have you any idea what it takes to place someone in a mental ward? It has to be approved by a Dr. and if they don’t have insurance-that’s a problem and if it’s a drug/alcohol problem they’d be referred to drug rehab and they’d be released after 1-2 days. There’s a lot of bureaucracy in all of this sadly. Medication can be prescribed but those who are mentally ill usually refuse to take it even IF they can afford it. The police have to deal with this on a daily basis.
Exactly what I thought... she seems like an addict. She even said it at one point... "I go through this every time". She needs therapy... not being jailed and released, jailed and released...
This is still SO crazy, because like how do you even do anything about this? She CLEARLY hates being in jail and yet she still tries to break into a car IN FRONT of police. It's almost sad, like there's nothing you can do to help her.
Yea, after watching arrest videos this evening, I'm seeing a pattern. Many of these folks are mentally ill. They don't have the mental capacity to deal with every day life, yet they are expected to do it. The sad part is that even if someone did absolutely everything for them, they would still find a way to screw up their situation. You have to be really naive to think there is hope for these folks. I feel sorry for some of these people, but I have much more sympathy for those that have to deal with them.
@@dewboy910 I mean, the answer isn't to throw them in jail and keep them there forever. Seems like shes in a psychosis/psychotic state. Or possibly schizophrenia. Very sad. We need to implement new mental rehabilitation options for mentally ill people who commit crimes in circumstamces like these rather than arrest-release-repeat. The officers did a great job given their options.
There is absolutely NOTHING in this video that suggests that. Zero. You have no clue what you're talking about. Quit trying to use "mental health" as an excuse to free criminals.
That would require reducing the defense budget by 1%, and that's 1% the politicians who own companies who provide the military with equipment don't get in their pockets.

She reminds me of a friend's daughter who was diagnosed with ODD (oppositional defiance disorder). Doing things whenever she wants with no ability to control impulse, argumentative to an extreme, holding her breath, screaming. Exactly the same.
I was diagnosed with this as a child, but as an adult, things are much different. Personally, I don't think such a disorder exists. It's just a way for people to excuse this kind of behavior that likely stems from other issues. In some cases, the behavior is learned during childhood and reinforced by parents who don't discipline their kids.

I hope she finds herself in a 3rd world country someday, where instead of putting up with this BS, she is put in front of a firing squad so no one has to deal with her ever again.
You know, sometimes I think being a cop wouldn't be so bad. Then i see videos like this and realize I could NEVER have this level of patience with people like her. Utmost respect for all the people that deal with this stuff!
I do security at a major movie studio and deal with drunk idiots all day long but when you have the tools and experience to deal with idiots it's actually not that bad. I have the upper hand 100% of the time. What's frustrating is when you work in retail; deal with Karen's all day long and the laws; your own bosses aren't on your side. In retail Karen is always right but in law enforcement and security they can go eat a dick because they aren't in charge of shit - I am. All I have to do if someone is being an asshole is get on my radio and within seconds the asshole is surrounded by sheriffs and THEY don't fuck around. I've seen people get slammed to the ground and handcuffed because they wanted to act stupid or make threats.
Its hard to deal with those that have various mental health issues, but would be much easier if they were trained better in psychology, how to approach the mentally ill, how to speak to them to get what you and they need to be happy Dispute resolution, tough love, mutual respect finding out background, look where they live, know the cause, stop treating the problem, maybe a wing of the jail could be used as trial, would gladdlymmm

The cops informed her a mental hospital one block over lost "funding". The "patients" were released to the streets. I imagine many of those "patients" eventually became "inmates".
It’s a sad thing that mental health care is not funded as it should be. Many facilities have been shut down. My husband has worked a mental hospital for 25 years. We had to take her straight to the mental health hospital. Which saved her life. I wish more cities had a crisis squad that could deal with things like this instead of police. It would keep more people out of jail and help the people who need it. I truly feel sorry for this woman.
The fact that she looked physically healthy, was wearing decent clothing that fit her well, it tells me there's something going on that has changed. A brief history about her, including her level of education and how she did in school would be a starting point. Interviewing people that have known her for many years would also be valuable
@Shay311 You're missing my point entirely. Of course the police still need to stop anyone from doing anything illegal. I didn't say they should have just left her alone and sent her on her way. When someone's mind if chemically imbalanced there is a huge difference in throwing someone going through an episode in a cold brick cell and having them be 5150'd (because seriously, she was acting like a danger to herself and others) and get the right medicine. She would still have charges and still have to go through the courts so I never said she or others like her should just get away with everything. Trying to man handle someone who is not in their right mind (excluding drugs and alcohol, you chose to make your mind weird) just causes that person to fight for their life and just keep catching more charges.
Wisconsin has a crazy bail jumping law it's not what it is in the rest of the country. She probably caught bail jumping for not having an outlet to plug her ankle monitor in or the money to pay a private company for. But the car robbing lol.
I have always wanted to know if these criminals watch this video later or down the road and say OMG how stupid can I be to get out of jail and come right back . Great job there.
Saw a video on this channel from a town I lived in for many years about a woman who we all used to know very well so I sent the video around and a couple of news outlets picked it up and she is now famous in town and not in a good way lol
I'm not disagreeing that she could need psychological valuation, but i feel it's also a possibility that her apparent mental instability could be one of the many manipulation tactics that we witnessed from her in this short video.
She seems slow actually feel bad for her. I think drugs might have got to her brain. She also lost her purse within minutes of being out of jail. She has a child's mindset and very little understanding of her surroundings.
I wonder if she actually has schizophrenia or something and really thinks there are family members in those cars. Her trying to get into the backseat of that car in front of the officer made absolutely no sense.
She does need a 72 hour evaluation. She is not in our realm of reality. She has not aspect of right or wrong. I hope the judge sees this and gets her the help she needs.

People with BPD (borderline personality disorder) combined with other mental health issues, are often frequent flyers within all areas of "the system."
Here's a story:
My buddy is a police officer in a small city. He was on shift a few years ago around winter time. Him and his partner got a call from some old ladies who were walking through a park and found a young man sleeping ona bench, with no blanket and a small jacket while it was snowing
These ladies were so lovely, they took off their jackets and scarves and places them on the man while they waited for the police.
My buddy arrives and talks with the ladies. While they're talking the ladies are stroking the guys hair and telling him everything is alright now that the police are here.
My friend pulls the guys hood back to see his face and immediately goes *sigh* "Tyler, god damnit, what are you doing here?"
The guy gets up, knocks my friebd back and tries to run.
Wouldn't you be sick of that nonsense? She needs to be stapled to a chair somewhere. Just ridiculous!!
Not knowing your own brother's last name----makes one's plans for transport by him, rather suspicious.

Here’s a CRAZY idea. If she can’t stop doing illegal activities immediately after release…STOP RELEASING HER. Lock her up for a while, be it in jail or a hospital. She’s obviously not right in the head.
You think a few months or years would do the trick? Some ppl just don't learn.
This is a failure of the system in providing this woman adequate resources(whether that be access to mental health screenings and treatment or a court-ordered state hospital stay.

It was called Schizophrenia.

The "solution" republicans have for this problem is to give the cops tanks and shit instead of financing free mental health care. It’s insane.
That would require reducing the defense budget by 1%, and that's 1% the politicians who own companies who provide the military with equipment don't get in their pockets.

I was diagnosed with this as a child, but as an adult, things are much different. Personally, I don't think such a disorder exists.
They have to have that level of patience and respect or else get charged with police brutality and get splashed across the evening news.
Its hard to deal with those that have various mental health issues, but would be much easier if they were trained better in psychology, how to approach the mentally ill, how to speak to them to get what you and they need to be happy

I remember around the end of the 90s. My ex-wife kept complaining about people walking into her shop and attacking her customers.
Many changes have happened over his time there and continue to happen. They completely wiped out the mental health care for children. Those children end up in jail when they’re adults. It’s very sad.

My aunt was bipolar and had many manic episodes.. She was arrested for being weird in a store and had we not picked her up from the jail she would have done something like this because she was saying some weird shit like this. We had to take her straight to the mental health hospital. Which saved her life. I wish more cities had a crisis squad that could deal with things like this instead of police. It would keep more people out of jail and help the people who need it. I truly feel sorry for this woman.
Can’t afford a crisis squad when we keep defunding the police
I totally agree with you
The fact that she looked physically healthy, was wearing decent clothing that fit her well, it tells me there's something going on that has changed. A brief history about her, including her level of education and how she did in school would be a starting point. Interviewing people that have known her for many years would also be valuable
I agree for the people that really need it. However not everyone that acts like this is mentally sick.
Damn, she bail jumps 8 times? that's a new record.
Wisconsin has a crazy bail jumping law it's not what it is in the rest of the country. She probably caught bail jumping for not having an outlet to plug her ankle monitor in or the money to pay a private company for. But the car robbing lol.

Hardly.... I know a few city boys who have jumped a couple dozen times. Thank the liberal justice system we have that keep releasing them.

You'd think after the first time they'd stop letting them out.
