I'm at the start of the video and I get what youre saying but, in my opinion, I think its important to have conversations around politics (and less so but still religion) at my work place. Working in the social care system, legislation drives the resources we have to support our families and it is important to make sure that is at the forefront. I believe that it is necessary to look at people's morals and understand their alignments when thinking about the fact they are working with vulnerable persons.
That being said, I don't live in the US. I know that politics and religion is a touchy subject everywhere and, it may be down to whats shown on the media, but the types of situations youre discussing I mostly hear about happening in America
I understand what you’re saying and from an ideal perspective we should, but some people feel very strongly about their opinions on that subject so in order to keep peace at the workplace it’s probably best not to discuss it. At least that’s how it is here in America but I’m sure in other countries it’s different

I will never bring up religion or politics myself. But if i hear someone bring things up that i fundamentally disagree with, it will affect how i treat them going forward. Gotta know who you can trust and who is an enemy
Not sharing the same opinion or beliefs as you shouldn’t make someone an enemy it’s important to be open to different prospectives
And that’s why people shouldn’t bring it up at work
If someone can't have a civil conversation about something then you shouldn't associate with them outside of essential work stuff. Simple as
