My fav list for life-those that I couldn’t live without-is currently at 61 bottles from my larger collection and growing 😅. So from those, I narrowed it down to 10 of my fav to wear around people when I go out (rather than fav to sniff at home alone-would be much different!), in no particular order: - Vintage Chanel Antaeus (always will be my #1!) - Bortnikoff Oud Maximus - Frederic Malle The Moon - Frederic Malle Promise - Roja Danger PH (or vintage Guerlain Heritage) - Roja Enigma PH (as colder month date night) - Roja Amber Aoud - Dior Homme Parfum - Tom Ford Tuscan Leather (when I want to feel sexy while going to a dive bar) - Amouage Overture Man Will probably change by tomorrow 😝 Hurts my heart that many of my vintage loves didn’t make the list but many could/should have! Like Daniel said, they are completely different fragrances. Ambra Aurea is very thick, a bit sweet, resinous, intense amber with a buttery and salty ambergris, whilst LDDM is more dry and spicy amber. Both are worth having, but I prefer Ambra Aurea

hi thanks for the video, good list too. About the colonia futura, don;t you think it's very similar to terre d'hermes? To me, this one is like the Italian version of terre d'hermes. In the dry down to me this is so similar but easier on the nose and more versatile than TDH
Hmmm, if only five? Layton for cool/cold days. The One EDP for cool/cold nights out. Bleu Electrique for warm/hot days. Bleu de Chanel for warm/hot nights. Naxos for special occasions. Only 10? Those five I already mentioned plus Sedley and Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme for warm/hot days, Ombre Leather and Dior Homme Intense for cool/cold days, and Grand Soir for special occasions.

My uncle just passed away at the age of 32 and he left behind full bottles of his favorite expensive fragrances and almost empty bottles of his designers that used more because of the price. So I use everything with no boundaries like weather, or occasion.

I'm a cancer survivor, got diagnosed in 2018 and am in remission, so I get the whole do what you can/want cause you never know. For me categorizing the fragrances is a fun exercise...and it's not like I'd ONLY wear certain fragrances in certain situations, more guidelines than strict rules.

It's a fun experience to have a line up for certain things, i used to have an excel sheet to organize my scents I would be wearing for a week. But now i just wear on how i feel that day. Certain scents just make me feel better on certain days and not on other, so i just say what ever mood i wake up in will determine the scent I'll wear that day.
Having 3 bottles of vintage dior parfum. I can tell it's such a gem to keep in the collection. Led indembolesssss as Rich would say it. Been try to test out and get a few since I put some spotlight on them for me. Their amber one is so great
Oh gosh!! That's almost impossible to choose between the two 😅 Patchouly is more versatile than Ambra Aurea, but the latter is a bit more special... You really can't wrong with either, they are the best fragrances in their genre 👌

I would love to help you with that one, but unfortunately I have no idea what niche fragrance could replace Dylan Blue... But try the suggestion from Nunya 😉
IMO, if you find yourself loving a more affordable designer fragrance like you seem to with Versace Dylan Blue, take the win and don't look for a much more expensive niche version of it...
