Lived in New Orleans for several years and still visit regularly. Drago's, in the Hilton Riverside, has the best chargrilled oysters. Also, many great restaurants in the Garden District. Locals go to Cafe Beignet, tourists go to Cafe du Monde. Thanks for the video.
I like that you frowned upon feeding the gators. You're right, we shouldn't be feeding wildlife like that just for our entertainment. I'm usually hesitant to follow people who just want to travel for a living but after watching several videos on this channel (found you when searching for Christmas in Quebec City Vids), you two seem pretty cool.
You certainly are a channel of contrasts, two episodes ago you were in parched desert and now you're in rainy New Orleans! Keep on truckin and above all STAY SAFE 🚐❤️😷
You guys are just the cutest. I love watching you on your adventures 💕. Your tourist side was showing big time in NOLA but good for you making the most of it in the rain ☔️
Always a thumbs up 👍. The 2 of you are more mature than I was in my 40's. I partied around the world and can't remember some of the best times I had 🤬. Great video and you represent your generation better than any I have seen. 👍
I have been to Nola maybe 10 times. Mostly in early spring and the weather has been everything you can imagine. It even had ice storm one time which is a rarity. So glad you got to see it but 48 hours is way to short. Next time take a buggy tour or get a guide to learn the history. In 1981-82 I lived in Uptown which is about 10 miles from the French quarters where Tulane University is located. Huge beautiful homes you would love.
Liked the video and think you did New Orleans right for your first visit. We have family in NOLA and are very familiar with the places you visited, I have a long list of eateries (and places) for you to try if you ever make it back. Thanks for the tour. Laissez les bon temps rouler! ⚜️🤗
Just found your channel. I enjoyed this video. We have visited NOLA previously, but, return for 2 nights in November. I appreciate the comparison on beignets and the winner you mentioned.
Hello from Belgium! Was eager to see that vid, as my first ever trip to the USA was in Louisiana 2003 already! Keep on going, really like your vids! Inspiring!
U cant put the product in a bag drive to the new spot and say you like it bcos its fresh😂😂😂. Reverse the sequence and you will say Cafe Du Monde is better. I am 100% positive because it is...
Give New Orleans another chance. If you like history you should take a few of the guided tours of the cemeteries and walking tours of the quarter. Take a culinary trip around the city but stay out of the quarter, much more to partake and enjoy. Wonderful food. Rainy days in NO are the worst, the city is below sea level for Pete’s sake. Bourbon St would have been way cooler in your early 20’s, older and sober it’s sketch.
So , don't get out of the boat!..........I would think that was a little pricey, but you would always wonder what the swamp was like if you hadn't done it................ Once again you are every good at being tourist!.........Thank you!!
super-nice eats/time to roll on to other great places/yeap just living in the van/by the way what is the name of yaw van/is it a he or she/sweet have fun/thanks much
I always cringe when I see people touring my town. Especially when they try “New Orleans” cuisine. First rule of gumbo is you don’t order it at a restaurant. Thanks for giving a fair review and an honest opinion. You didn’t focus only on the negative nor did you make it seem like something it is not.
@@MathersOnTheMap We went to Frenchmen Street at night to listen to the Jazz music. This brings back all the best memories of my visit to Nola a few years ago. I'll have to try the warmed Muffaletta sandwich next time I go!
Appreciate your opinion. I’ve went about a dozen times (I live in Ohio ). Went in June abs going again in sept . Such a cool city even for those of us who aren’t into partying. The culture and people are the best. Streetcar rides , garden district , Mississippi River and Jackson square
@@MathersOnTheMap Sorry, my comment was not meant to sound that harsh. I am a subscriber and enjoyed many of your videos. That just seemed strange to me. Keep it up.
I'll post this here to as maybe it's more relevant then the other video I originally wrote it on. You guys are great, but Kevin dude! It's really hard to watch you eat, bro. Close your mouth, gross! If you are going to make parts of your video about the foods you eat when you travel gain a little more knowledge of the food so you can talk about it better and cut out the cringy eating. And if food isn't your thing that's fine, leave it up to Taylor to talk about the food and share her thoughts. Sorry, but this is the hardest part about watching any of your guy's videos.

Thanks George!!! We hope you stick around!! 👍🏻
The muffleta at the center is the best sandwich ever!!

You two are great! I love your honesty when giving your opinions!
Thank you Elizabeth!
Every trip with you two is a treasure. 😁😊
Thank you so much!!
Always a thumbs up 👍.

I Kevin partied myself out around 25! haha and thank you Jackie!! Thanks for watching as always!

That tour was amazing guys

Thanks so much guys!!! Oui, Cher! (I think that’s the right response) haha!
Great video, I enjoyed your reviews and I love your van. New subbie here👏👏
thank you so much! Welcome to the Channel! 👍👋
Y'all are cracking me up with the Bengay, you say it without the g, this might help to pronounce it this way - Benyay.
Aghhh!! Haha well atleast we know the correct way now
And “Gene” Lafitte. Lol.
Just found your channel. I enjoyed this video. We have visited NOLA previously, but, return for 2 nights in November. I appreciate the comparison on beignets and the winner you mentioned.
Hey Mel! Welcome to our channel, stoked you found us 🤙🏻. Enjoy NOLA in November that will be fun! Cafe beignet is the winner for sure
You should have tried the bread pudding at the Acme Oyster House. Yummy.
Sounds delicious!

Agreed!
U cant put the product in a bag drive to the new spot and say you like it bcos its fresh😂😂😂. Reverse the sequence and you will say Cafe Du Monde is better. I am 100% positive because it is...
I could not have said it better. You’ve gotta eat your beignet fresh while sitting in Cafe Du Monde. 100% for sure. 😂😂😂

We enjoyed the food in the city for sure! I agree Bourbon St would have been way better when i was a party animal!

True that and Thank you!!!!
Great video, thanks! Let me help you… it’s pronounced “Ben-Yays’”. 😛
Where did you guys get the ice cream daiquiri and hurricane?
Gazebo Cafe near Latrobe Park!
It's not New Or LEANS neither is it Nawlins. The correct way to pronounce this city's name is "New Or-linz"
Got that Patito van, I see..
The reason why there's a French influence is is we were a French Colony first then Spanish then French again & then sold to the U.S.A.
Aghh makes sense thanks Kevin!
super-nice eats/time to roll on to other great places/yeap just living in the van/by the way what is the name of yaw van/is it a he or she/sweet have fun/thanks much
Thanks Ron!! Van’s name is Merl it’s a he!

Chris, thanks for the comment! We try to keep it real and share our opinions!
I’d love to try local gumbo one day!
Thanks for watching!
So if you don't get gumbo at a restaurant then where do you get it
Next time try the voodoo rolls
When the epidemic gets better, welcome to Taiwan to play
Frenchmen Street is the best street in the quarter!
We maybe hit it on an off day 🤷♂️

Frenchman street IS NOT in the French Quarter but adjacent to it across Esplanade Avenue!
No Sazerac
I’m offended at how you say the word beignet lol
Sorry! ....Typical tourist 🙃
It’s pronounced Ben-yay

OMG I'm in love with your wife
Me too!
🇮🇹💪⭐😄
It tastes like French Onion Soup with shrimp in it. WTF? Come on, I appreciate the video but that is the least informed review I have ever had.
Sorry we didn’t meet your expectations Joey!

rule #1 don't eat in the quarters!!! overpriced & overrated.....

Please……Maybe one episode without food !?
Cities are tough with no food!
No I love the food
Best way to experience an area is the food!
