    😅good hp.for what was done. But i know for sure if you start towing above 10000 lbs you need to up grade the 48re it will not last, the single band torque converter will give up!

    Subliminal message at 4:16ish?
    That power level is great for most people. Unfortunately I'm not most people...
    I'm definitely looking forward to suspension and 'a new level' (Pantera?) of power.
    Burn outs and shenanigans in Mexico are welcome also. I mean, it's not even yours...😝

      We all know Hank drove a Ford. However, I think he would enjoy a ride in this bad boy. #propane

    If you do upgrades to the 48re and install a better converter there's nothing wrong with them very very good transmission I would sooner have that transmission than the 68rfe by far I haven't 07 with a 48re just got done rebuilding it after 230000 miles and she works real nice

    I dig this series!! The cool part is im local -(Rathdrum) and i have almost a identical truck! and i have been planning a lot of the same upgrades that you guys have done!! I do mostly towing my RZR with my truck and it definitely needs more power to keep up with my buddies.
    what other mods are you guys plannin on the transmission? any small billet upgrade parts? new valve body? or going full build ?
    keep up the good content!

      What's up local boy! This is a great platform for what you plan to use it for, good choice! The build spirals out of control fairly quick once parts start showing up. Short answer to your question is, yes. -Ben

    2005 Cummins or 2022 Ram Cummins? 🤔

    • @DieselPowerProducts
      @DieselPowerProducts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a 2007 Ram 2500 5.9 Cummins.

      Oh, nice. Are they reliable? What problems do they have?

    • @DieselPowerProducts
      @DieselPowerProducts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, quite. Most people in the diesel community would probably agree that it is the pinnacle of diesel pickup engines. Easy to make power on, not overly complicated, and easy to work on.
      To answer your questions.
      1. Yes, very.
      2. Engine wise, from the factory, I would say the only potential weak point is the lift pump. Other than that, any reliability issues would be self induced.

    Nice! Look forward to following the series. Kinda wondering why you choose the smarty over efi live? And also, "go f***k yourself" on the radio display on the road test. Not impressed with that. My kids like watching these builds with me as I get ideas for my truck. Cant wait for the next video!

    • @DieselPowerProducts
      @DieselPowerProducts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jerry. We went with the Smarty as it is a very simple plug and play tuner. Considering we are not changing the injectors or turbo in this phase, we wanted to keep it simple. I honestly did not see that on the display. Bad title, great song. Sorry about that. -Ben
