I am knitting my advent stripe on my woolens and nosh dk socks and realized I didn't have any fingering weight socks to knit for the holidays so just ordered a skein from freckled whimsy.
Bags are fantastic . Thankyou for sharing your knitting life, it brings such joy and peace just listening to you. Holidays are friend and family time especially here at the moment hot, hot and hotter 39 degrees tomorrow
Whenever you “amuse yourself” I end up laughing with you. Do whatever makes you happy during the holidays. There is enough stress in life without adding more.

Fingerless mitts are so fun and congrats on finishing a pair!! That’s so exciting. As for the socks, I would start with a vanilla pattern in DK or worsted. This will help you understand the construction of knitting a sock before heading to the fingering weight. It will also work up faster and that’s always a plus. Check out the crazy sock lady for vanilla patterns. Hope that helps and it works out. 😁✌🏽
