literally just laughed out loud - "I don't know when you're seeing this, I don't know your life." bahahhaha I love the vibes. Your makes are insanely gorgeous 🥰🥰
Michael, you are AWESOME!!! Can't believe you held out as long as you did to talk about the sweater. GORGEOUS!!! Best wishes for a wonder filled holiday. Cheers
Thank you Michael for another wonderful year of podcasting and seeing all the fab items that you create. Wishing you a peaceful holiday season full of relaxation with family and friends, and knitting time too. xxx
My family doesn’t do holiday gifts. I do knit for family members throughout the year, but they all know I won’t knit to a holiday deadline. It is a hobby and the pressure of deadlines takes the fun out of it. They get random gifts that make them happy and I get to knit what I want when I have the time to knit. Win win. Thank you for the regular podcasts - makes it feel like I’m knitting with a friend.
I agreed with all of this. I'm just happy my knit worthy circle is small and I can knit for them whenever. It really does make this time of year way less stressful. Happy to have friend knitting time with you eery two weeks.
Hey there, Michael! Wonderful episode, as always. 😊 I'm SO in for the Artus shawl knit a long. The first week of the year is a time that I always set aside for my own personal reset. This sounds like a perfect knit for that time!
Congrats to the bag winners! I shrieked when I saw your sweater 🤩 You know I'm always in for a KAL, and I need some knitting motivation! Happy holidays, Michael ❤
Always fun to spend some knitting time with you. Thank you for the episode. Your Officer sweater turned out great!! Natasha Hornby mosaic patterns are really enjoyable knits. Happy holidays! ☮
michael! i was awake in the middle of the night, knitting socks, when you talked about knitting socks in the middle of the night. the difference was you listen to music and i listen to you
Insomnia knitter until! Yeah I do enjoy my deep sleep music during those times. It might be a little weird if I was just listening to my own podcast lol
Yes, your sweater needs to go outside- it is so beautiful. I am one of those knitters who is a bit scared of intarsia (even spelling it!) and maybe I should practice colourwork more first. I live over in Europe, on a uk-adjacent island. I love all the wooly wools. John Arbon and James C Brett and good basics, but I love Hedgehog Fibres and Stranded Dyeworks too. As a thank you for your lovely podcast I would love to send you some homeland 100% wool yarns. I have also knit with Peace Fleece yarn which is great for hats and mitts and lasts forever; just gets better and better. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Yes to just practicing the colorwork. I think I'm just practicing most of the time tbh. I love learning new things and its nice when those thing actually work out. That very kind of you to want to send something my way. If you are on insta, please reach out there and we can talk more about it. I hope you are having a wonderful start to the new year.
The rain is coming our way tomorrow. I am making a Christmas stocking for the first time. It's the Arne and Carlos advent knit along. I am now in the sock making mood. I finally conquered my sock making fear! I also want to make my granddogson a sweater! He loves clothes. He prefers clothes to dog treats! Imagine that! Love everything you have made! We have similar "good taste". ☺️
@@piece4peacecraftingpodcast I found some Wool of the Andes Sport weight in my stash and am just about finished with the third section of Waffle Pattern on the Argus Shawl. Good thing I had a snow day today 🤣
Hi Michael, I absolutely get excited when I see that you’ve posted a podcast I love watching them. I will definitely try for the shawl KAL starting in January... I might still be knitting on these three sock advent sets that I so aggressively bought. What was I thinking to order three sock sets oh my goodness! I think it was very kind of you to give away all those gifts that you did because you’re such a kind and caring person. I heard you talking about the process of mailing them and you only do it for the continental United States but I really think you would include Alaska and Hawaii in that since that’s the US post office right? I just wanted to bring it up in case any of the winners are in one of those two states. I also loved the “lives” that you guys did a couple weeks ago and was very impressed by your felting soaps. I immediately wanted to go out and find some soaps and start felting some yarn around them, it’s such a great gift idea. Happy holidays Michael and hope you’ve been a good boy so Santa will bring you lots yarn. 😂

It's gorgeous and shawls are my favourite things to knit; I was just having some reservations re how much I wear them, but I am working on that!! I was already going to join my Saskatchewan cousins in our own little KAL, but I'm so excited that you will be knitting it too, and Jan. 1 cast-on is perfect as I should (I hope!) have my yarn by then. I love your sweater and will be purchasing the pattern. I love Max's sweaters for the men in my life. I knit my brother a Single Malt and my hubs the Wrongside Sweater.
Michael! The Officer Sweater is fantastic! The sunfish socks you’re working are beautiful, and I think the idea of having them nearby during insomnia episodes is brilliant. Of course I had to go stash diving to see if I could get into the Artus KAL. Sounds like a great idea. Happy holidays, be well, and see you soon!

Loving your woolens and nosh and living vicariously as usual; they sit in my pile unknit. Think about getting her advent next year, I feel you would adore the process and there's more colors than the mystery club. Just did my first toe up socks and I was not really a fan. What cast off do you use? Casting off in pattern was too tight, but the backwards yarn over and then cast off made it flare. It feels good but looks pretty yucky. Will wear them but back to cuff down for me!
Your sweater came out amazing!! I'm loving all the positive energy and content. Keep it going because you're shining ✨! Merry Christmas 🎄 and Happy Knitting 💚🧶💚
Thanks so much!! Happy holidays to you are yours too!
I ordered the paytetn for the shawl. I'll give it a read to see if I can do it 😅😅😅😅then order the wool.
Yay!!! I’m sure you will be able to make it. I hope you join in on the fun.
I do wish there was a Love ❤ button.

In Australia we are having extreme heat this past fortnight- summer does start December but this is extreme
I’ve heard it’s really hot there right know. I hope you have air con to sit in while you craft. Hope it doesn’t get much worse. 🤞🏽🤞🏽
@@piece4peacecraftingpodcast I have a fan and knit small things like beanies. By the way a lot of people with anxiety knit, I use it for calming too
Don’t you just love Jack from Slip Slip Ging? I NEED a sealing wax kit. ❤
His podcast is so much fun. And the music is great too. The wax is so much fun if you end up getting one. lol
