Thank you, Tiffany! I have another that is 90% completed and should be complete next week. I hope to have a video up of that build as soon as possible. There are some pictures / videos on my instagram page @jpcarpentrywa
Thank you! EPB44PHDG is what you're after. You can find them online or in most lumberyards. I typically use them in pier blocks but in this instance there was a driveway I was covering up so I decided to pour footings instead, drill a hole after they cured for a few days and then installed the adjustable post brackets. I'm actually working on this same property right now installing their 4th deck.
Depends on the area. Cost of lumber, delivery fees, fasteners used, labor etc.. $50/h (110h total) and 9-9.5k in materials brought this to around $14k. If I were to build this same deck again, it would be closer to 20k.
I can't even afford my own work. I'm very appreciative of the people with ideas they want to come to life and can afford the lumber that fuels my creativity and quest for knowledge. At my last place of employment, guys made $10-15/h and would work on $10k - $100k USD projects. Construction is an odd industry.
Your attention to detail is unreal!
Thank you, Darran Cats!
This is absolutely breathtaking! Amazing work!

Thank you, Coho Kid!
Gorgeous deck! I’m wondering what you used on the footing posts? I saw something that looks like a steel shaft with the 4x4 bracket?

What spacing did u use for cedar boards?
Hi K L,
I use camo guns which space the decking 3/16" (5mm).
Looks amazing. But not everyone can afford this.
