The laser etched coronet serves more or less as a security feature. Sometimes you can see it with the naked eye, sometimes not. It can be used to help determine whether a watch is authentic or not. Do not use this as the only determining factor, but as one of the things to look for. Hi Carmine Friendly, the Daytona has always been a popular Rolex model and they have done a great job of increasing its exclusivity (largely due to the increased price point for a steel watch and decreased availability). The Daytona is just as popular now as it was with the Zenith movement of the past. In fact, when the in-house movement was released, the value and waiting lists both gained in numbers. You can buy it for an increase in value, but it's a watch that should be worn and enjoyed ;-)
KeepTheTime puts out great reviews on authentic timepieces. You people that post negative comments probably wear crap watches so thumbs up KeepTheTime!

This watch is absolutely 100% authentic as are all watches on this channel. 12:05 you can see the proper Rolex engravings for this clasp style. This watch is an older D series (2005) and has exactly the clasp this watch is meant to have - often referred to as the "older clasp style" and carries a reference number 78490. The newer clasp is 78590 (found as early as M). You should be more careful when claiming that a watch is not genuine, especially when it is. Thanks for the comment either way ;-)

Question... is there any particular reason for a laser etched crown on the crystal? You can't see it anyway with a naked eye. Or atleast barely see it. Great review btw, very nice shots :)

How long do you Think it will be popular if one buys it only for the value increasing and not for the Beauty? cause i dont see any particular in this Watch i prefer gold and Diamonds on a Watch to see its beauty

You won't regret it ... but be careful ... once you buy your first watch of that caliber then you'll just become an addict :P After your first Perrelet, shoot for a JLC ;)
It's a fake, this model is the first to have the newer clasp which this doesn't have, neither is anywhere on the clasp mentioned the word ROLEX which is usual with Rolex'es!
