The level of accuracy and knowledge in Dylan's videos for this channel has improved dramatically. Very interesting, very informative, well spoken, and very easy on the eye too. Keep it up!
Solid review. Learned a lot about the Daytona's history. I purchased my 116520 black dial brand new at an AD 2013. Can u believe the AD had a new black and a new white dial...I chose the black dial. Wish I bought both!!!
Make a comparison between all the Daytonas!! Also I'd love a comparison between the rose gold vs steel with ceramic besel. Love your work! Congratulations from Mexico
Thank you very much for a great review and sharing your comments. I like the watch you are wearing on a the RED strap. Looks great. I prefer my Daytona on an aftermarket strap. Thanks again.
Hey Dylan. Nice video (again)! Did you know that the Rolex Cosmograph was named Daytona only after Rolex “lost” the contest of supplying the official NASA “Moon” watch to Omega and its Speedmaster. That’s why they rebranded it from the Space watch to a Race watch. Somehow very interesting that it turned out to be so successful isn’t it? PS id like to see a review of an IWC Portugiese Chrono in case you get your hands on one
That's cool information. But, surprising that a Rolex turned out to be successful (any Rolex)? Not really, as seemingly everything they do is a success, eventually.
Rolex originally named the Daytona the Le Mans for the famous race before Rolex aimed at being a space watch, Cosmograph, so the original intent was an auto race chrono.
I have a stainless steel Daytona with box and papers hardly ever worn with only one person as a previous owner to the watch how much do you think that would be valued at
Justin Foord the black face Daytona is one of the worst watches for glare and difficulty to read. All the hands and dials just blend into each other with the glare of the crystal making it difficult to read quickly at the best of times. I love the Daytona but I also hate it for that reason. AR on the crystal would prob help a lot. I might have to get mine done otherwise I will prob sell it and get another stainless submariner.
I have the black dial version and I'm working on getting the white dial version from my dealer now. That, and the blue dial Sky-Dweller, are the hardest ones to get right now. I'm working on getting the Sky-Dweller from my dealer as well. He just offered me the black dial Sky-Dweller but I had to turn it down because I'm holding out for the blue version. Every other SS sports Rolex has come easy except for these two.
whats with the corrosion on the sub dial? This model isn't THAT old and I was under the impression that Rolex's are built like tanks and last a very long time.
And, I thought that the rolex cosmograph had been manufactured for NASA, as it chose the Omega, so Rolex decided to "use" the car races as the selling point of this watch, the first name chosen was LE MANS, but eventually opt for Daytona.
I wonder when youtubers, far from being mainstreaner and living very well being so, they will start telling THE KING IS NAKED... When this bubble exploits, many people will get awake and will feel how much they were fooled )))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
A mere product of speculation, nothing else. I have always liked Rolex for their precision and reliability because they have always been very good watches, but...NOTHING ELSE. Actually, the proof is that the Daytona is the epitome of speculation with a level of finishing below many of their competitors which are thousand euros cheaper )))))) LOL... So, Rolex has gone from expensive good watches where you paid a bit more due to the propaganda, you know, for "THE NAME" to MERE LEBELS of ECONOMIC CAPACITY which brings with a watch attached to it as a present, because the symbol itself is more expensive than the watch itself, but "just" several times more expensive. The price of the SS Daytona went from around €5,500 in 2007-2008 due to the low production used to create expectation and waiting lists in ARTIFICIAL WAY, as a strategy of PURE SPECULATION, for a watch at the same level or, maybe, a little bit better their direct competitors, to increase the price several times in 10-15 years. By the way, it's funny that the Rolex Daytona, a chronograph which was a sales fail in the past, specially the PANDA, because it was a more sportive, less elegant, less wearable, less polivalent or just more "exotic", it's become the proportionally most expensive and sought after, specially the old pandas, just because Rolex paid A LOT OF MONEY in PROPAGANDA, PUBLICITY and made a very good actor to wear it..., you know, everybody wants the "PAUL NEWMAN". This is how human's psychology can be used against clients, it can be used to make them suffer an amazing level of SPECULATION, an EMPTY BUBBLE, making people pay for just a good SS made watch the same price it had GOLD MADE not so many years ago )))))))))))))) It's funny how people, not matter how rich they are, they don't feel FOOLED when they pay so much for a SS Daytona )))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) I wouldn't ever pay even the half, no matter how much money I had, NEVER..., I like to pay for HONEST products where I pay for what I have and I have what I paid for, so simple. And YES, Rolex is free to make and promote a huge campaing of OBSCENE SPECULATION, they are free and they have the right to do it, and they must keep that right..., but it is what it is..., and people we have eyes in our face and personality out of PURE AND MERE AND RIDICULOUS SNOBBERY, we are also free to express our opinions, freedom of speech, they call it... -I say so in advance of those false logics based on the offer and demand..., LOL, it can be easily adulterate to play with prices, but yes, they are free to do it as I am free to comment about that, so simple-.

I love that black dial with stainless steel bezels. It’s my favorite.

The most beautiful watch ever to my eyes
i love this watch. I got a few watches on my channel, (rolex, patek and breitling). This will be my next piece
NIce review Dylan! Both dials black or white are equal and great! Amazing watch! I want one.
Love the older Daytona But man that new Ceramic with Black Dial is killer One of the best steel pieces in the game my opinion Thanks Dylan
great content mate - keep it up
I have a stainless steel Daytona with box and papers hardly ever worn with only one person as a previous owner to the watch how much do you think that would be valued at
I own a black dial and i couldn't be happier with it i used to have a white face but i sold it
Nice video mate
I prefer the white dial for the 116500 ceramic and the black dial with the stainless steel bezel.
I’d want an all black Daytona with black bezel and factory strap is fine by me
also can you review the steel sky dweller blue dial?
Could you make a review of the white gold submariner maybe comparing it to some other gold pieces
Love your videos! Could you do a review for a 36mm steel datejust with a jubilee bracelet please!
please show your own collection
Hi Dylan, please let me know where I can buy those red straps you put on the Daytona? Looks so nice
Hi there!
www.bijoudiamondjewellery.com/straps/perlon-strap
Thanks!
Black dial Ceramic is my choice. Feel the Panda dial is largely due to hype with Paul Newman.
I have the white face Daytona, dreaming of the blue face Smurf ...
Do you find them a bit hard to read due to the glare?

Why the rage about steel? why not platinum and white gold . I just bought a white gold with diamond markers and black face it is stunning to
amazing video... period
Thanks!
Black dial for me!

why bi metal is not so worth it?
whats with the corrosion on the sub dial? This model isn't THAT old and I was under the impression that Rolex's are built like tanks and last a very long time.
My dad just got one at a auction for 5600$ is that a good price?
Team Porter he stole it!
Two tone black dial!

Stealth Wealth! 😉😁

Paul Newman's Daytona is shit; the 116520 is waaaaaaaaaaaay better.
Fact.
