The nervous smiling while hurting inside tells you all you need to know about how invested she was in this case. The tears show the emotion and the smiles are an attempt to keep herself under control so she won't lose it. Just so sad. I feel for all of them involved with this case.
I remember how distraught she was when she was working on this case on the 1st 48 I'll never forget this case I believe it's season 24 episode 5 it's called lost little girl

@nicolehaw1088 detective angela carter
Agreed. I'm so glad detectives like her and the gentleman officer we heard from earlier are working for humanity. May they all find peace.
I'm sure she is a registered Democrat
A beautiful detective inside and out. She has empathy which is a good thing.
I applaud her compassionate demeanor; however she needs to work on her emotions. If she wants to succeed in this career needs to dissociate her emotions. Not good for a detective expose to brutality daily. Otherwise will cry many times to come!
My admiration To her/ detective. THANK you for your tenacious spirit. 🌺🌺 Beautiful young lady!
With my sincere respect 🌺
and so sorely absent nowadays 😟
Empathy is a beautiful trait.
Prayers of comfort 🙏🏻 to ALL

She a loser just like the rest of them. If y'all believe the news and these lying losers your as dumb as you look.
Such a contrast from Trooper Proctor in Karen Reeds case. This detective is what all LE should strive to be like.
As a woman it must have shook her to the core to find that the likely perp was a fellow cop in her town.
Thanks for your speaking up. This is a Wonderful Woman who is doing a absolutely thankless job. My whole heart goes out to her. My God have a special place for Her in Heaven!!!

Oh, I forgot.
Men have no feelings.
That must be it.
Ugh.
More bullshit right here.
Bullshit in being that someone was murdered and bullshit in this original commenter's underlying feelings towards men.

After the previous criminal stalking complaints by others >
( Doraville Police claimed it underwent an administrative investigation. Officials said Bryant was spoken to and the behavior had stopped.)
If you look up the channel "10 to Life" with Host Annie Elise, she found SEVERAL DIFFERENT doorbell vids that LITERALLY show this MURDERER, kicking in a door, trying to get in, plus, repeatedly going by this other young girls apt, OVER FOUR times, NOT TO MENTION when he broke in a lady's house, doing some sickening things with her underwear I will NOT mention. There were THREE different young ladies, that by NOW, know they literally were next on his list. ALL of this was BEFORE Susana's murder, so, HOW IN THE FLUCK did his supervisors NEVER SUSPECT HIM ?? One of the apts was the SAME one where he lived & where darling Susana was visiting the night she disappeared. I HOPE SUSANA'S FAMILY FILED A LAWSUIT !! He beat, r*ped, then MURDERED Susana. THIS IS INCONCEIVABLE !!

Wouldnt you just love having a detective like this investigating any crime? Love her. Good job❤ This is the kind of police people want!
I felt for this woman, she is obviously very passionate about her work and has a good and kind heart. She can take comfort that she did a thorough investigation, well done. It's a really tragic case. I felt for Susanas Mother also, and her brother and boyfriend. God love them ♥️ 🙏

The world needs more police and detectives like this woman. 😭
She got me at 20 miles. 20 miles away his cell shows he is in the same treeline where Susanna's body was found. The glock he reported just happens to also be found not very far away from Susanna's body in the same treeline. What are the chances of that? It is 20 miles away, I don't think that could be a coincidence.
exactly a second lightning bolt-striking, star aligning chance in #ell
And he was still policing and stalking, they didn’t fire him after multiple complaints

i hope susanna's parents sue
I saw body cam footage recently of him arresting a man who was stalking a woman. It was incredibly disturbing knowing that he was doing exactly the same thing and much worse, possibly at the same time. He was very professional, a bit nerdy. I would never have suspected he was doing such vile things

She is beautiful and doing a great job 💕 I love that she speaks to jury while looking at them to show her emotions during this trial and how disgusting this man is to kidnapped rape and dispose of a 16 year old child. How sad. I hope he gets his ass dealt with in prison! He’ll have to stay in PC forever
I didn't know if he raped her or not. I was too heartbroken to look it up. I knew sadly it would be a given, because why else would a depraved man do this? I guess I just didn't want to know the truth..
I remember this case very well because the detective truly didn't want it to be her. I remember the cop reporting his gun stolen. She tricked him into going to the station to "help" w/the case, but he was actually the prime suspect. He had broken into his neighbors apartments as well. They were all young women. This was an incredible catch. He would have been patrolling the area, hunting his victims still to this day. Suzanna, i'm so sorry it had to be you, sweetheart. Rip Suzanna! We remember you beautiful! ❤
I like this detective. I've seen her on The First 48 show.
SO SAD. POOR GIRL. STOP KILLING THESE INNOCENT BABIES.

High??? Whats wrong with you?? She's nervous. Not easy to testify plus it's a very upsetting case.
Facts. She clearly stated during this that she really didn't want to be here. Which is understandable. We as outsiders have no idea the work they do, the things that see, and stuff they have to deal with when working with cases. Especially with kids or teens.
What are you replying to? Did someone say she's high?

It's not unusual in the Met there was a man called David Carrick who is considered one of the worst Rzpists in the UK and then we have Wayne Couzens who killed a girl during the pandemic and it sad because there are decent officers like this lady. She's been deeply affected by this case and no wonder.
She's unusually emphatically intelligent compared to other policemen or policewomen❤❤❤
These are the detectives we need! And that we need to see. They are human and are seeing inhumane things that most of us just could not do, without them no justice would be served!

She reminds me of a young phoebe Cates and a young Terri Hatcher combined, this woman is empathetic, intelligent, and gorgeous, I hope this job doesn’t jade her…
Heartwrenching 😢. It's good to see how much this detective cares.
Too bad she wasn't around when Susana was first reported missing and the police absolutely refused to search for her they assumed she ran away even though she had just called her mom letting her know she was On the way and the GPS showed she was close to the house
Her family tried numerous times to get help even getting the news involved and still the police didn't budge
That's horrific!!! Treat all missing kids as if they're in trouble and if they're OK fantastic but if not they're onto the perp from the start. Isn't the first 24 hours the most important?
I recognize her from the tv show the first 48

Miles Bryant’s lawyer sucks and she’s trying to narrate a situation that Susana willingly got in the vehicle and asking other family on the stand about her drug use to make it seem like she was on drugs and went to go party more then ended up overdosing then miles freaked out and dumped her body which IS DUMB AND NOT TRUE. Even the jury can see that this man kidnapped her and killed a CHILD. How disgusting this man is. Hope her mother finds peace in his guilty verdict

It's actually refreshing to see people in law enforcement who actually care. The unfortunate thing is that after a few of these gruesome discoveries, many become numb or jaded to the horrors they investigate.

My eldest daughter is only a year older and _thankfully_ I can't and would never want to even imagine how hard on her parents it's been. My heart goes out to them!
I think sometimes people forget that these guys are only human, shit like this will hurt no matter how long you've been in the job, no matter how many cases you work on, it will still stay with them long after hanging their uniform up for the day or even after they hang it for the final time, those memories don't just disappear. I can only begin to imagine the horrific things they see throughout their careers and in their nightmares.
When is the defendant going to testify?
he is not gonna testify
I personally am pissed because if both police departments did their job, Susana Morales might be alive. The Black stalking victim wasn't protected by these police departments. If these police departments had done a police report and an investigation, this victim (Susana Morales)might be alive. Then, the police department, the parents that the parents reported her missing, didn't do a damn thing, except the sgt who looked for the victim for 7 months without resources. incompetent of both departments is unbelievable. Susana Morales ' parents need to sue the police department. The 911 depatchers/operators both need to be fired for incompetent because the stalking victim could have been either injured or killed.
With them having the phone info. When she went missing. I can't understand why it took. Them so long to find her. With the 360 info they had. Along with the last phone pings. That is crazy to me.
She worked her behind off on the first 48! She was still emotional on that show too. Her sadness for this babygirl is genuine.❤ she did an awesome job on this case.

What you have to remember is officers/jurors/judges/Detectives/judges/jurors/officers are humans with emotions too, And dealing with cases like this often takes a tremendous toll on their mental/physical health and will stay with them for years after the case has ended. They might not cry in court but often at home. And an experienced detective crying in court shows what a truly heinous crime this was.
Every day, law enforcement all across the country see the worst society has to offer. Although I’m aware that’s what they signed up for, I still find myself feeling sorry for what they see day in, day out. It has to wear on them, change them. Maybe law enforcement officers should be made to retire from active duty like after 10-15 years, or maybe not retire but moved inside the force, just not actively policing… for their own well being and the well being of their families.
some of those cops are the worst of society
