How cute she is! Just an itsy-bitsy precious baby! God bless mom too.🍀💖👶🐘💖🍀
Sticking close to Mum!!💯🐘🐘😊
Not that she can go far in that enclosure . In the wild the Mother would have been passing down to her generations of knowledge of routes, food n water sources & so much more. Now humans decide what's good for them & they are entirely dependent on humans for their food & care
Ahh, such a little baby elephant.
Aww...so precious!!!❤❤❤
Soooooo smol ❤❤❤
This is heartbreaking to see.....this adorable little baby born to this world in a barron cage.......
Please send theese magnificent animals to a sanctuary, let them live their lives in freedom!
So adorable
🙏🐘💞to Rose and her baby! Oregon zoo do your utmost best ❤
I think it'd a girl too lol
This is not the elephant habitat. This is an isolated area so they can bond for awhile.
How is the zoo preparing for the predicted ice storm towards the end of next week? I'm assuming you have backup generators to enable temperature control, but are you making any other preps? Like possible staffing issues if people can't make it to work. What if food deliveries are held up?
Ice storms can wreak havoc.
I sure enjoy the videos of this sweet little baba.❤Nice to see a longer one, too. Please keep them coming!
feed that new mama, shes hungry
Very difficult to watch all caged up
I understand you and where you are coming form here. If it's any help though the Oregon Zoo is known for it's very good treatment of their animals, especially the elephants where they have a research specialty in. The elephant exhibit is also nice and big, it's not just that little cage you see there, and their elephants have lots of space and are well taken care of and happy. It's a good zoo.
That is a small part of their interior area. They want to keep the calf separate from the other older elephants for a bit. I think they have like 6 acres to roam. That isn't anywhere near the space they have in the wild but large for a zoo.
At least they won't be killed by poachers there.
It's a hard one.
Often the elephants were rescued from a bad situation and can't be released to the wild. 6 acres isn't great for an elephant, but it might be better than where they came from. Need to know the backstory.
But I know what you mean.
Mommy elephant looks tired.
It must be hard work, birthing a 200 pound baby!!! 👶🏼
When will the public be able to see her?
Is this cage all the room they have to move?
Her name Should be Valentina, like her friend/keeper/friend suggested 😊
😂👏🙏💕💕💕❤️
So sad...
You read 'Elephant Lands habitat' and you expect the video to show an expansive field, or at least a very large area, large enough for a herd of elephants to roam around comfortably. What a depressing view.
