I think legend is sleeping on ill gotten inheritance, he could have played super turtlish and harvested value from those enchants (tons of big butt creatures as well)
@@LegenVD I have lost many games to inheritance alone. Once I got two inheritances played against me: there was not a chance to comeback after that. In drafts, boards are very often stalled when either side attacking will loose more then the defender. And this enchantment puts the opponent on the clock. You arent the only one who is undervalueing this cards: most card ratings and "early pick rankings" give it a very low score for some reason. Obviously, the best fit of this enchantment is in a rakdos deck - repelnishing your low health and activating spectacle at the same time every turn is awesome. Another thing is that this card is being valued low by the AI as well, so you get two or even more (altough that might be overkill) of inheritances in the late picks
I feel like High Alert is slept on as well. Taking it pack 1 pick 1 and then building around it gives you a pretty powerful deck, especially since Azorious has enough card draw to get it consistently enough, and playing the defensive is pretty easy when your build-around is high toughness.
The problem with High-Alert decks is that they're pretty mediocre if you build around it too much and then don't draw it. Pegasus and Knight-Arbiter are the types of cards I would want to combine with it, since they're still great by themselves.
Great video, really enjoyed it. Took me 2 days to finish, but in the end I still got there. I loved the game where you said, well, got our win condition (Pegasus), got them on a 7 turn clock! Also, feels bad when you almost lose to the timer. Frustrating to see that happen when the game is progressing, and yet, people actually abuse the timer and get away with it.

NICE this is my first time seeing this set, but I think youre undervaluing that faerie duelist massively, seems like a decent flyer and a conditional removal spell all at the same time for 2 mana, unless I read the card wrong. Also, I thought high alert looked busted if you wound up with 2. The 2/5 hexproofs, the 1/4 flying owls, the 1/3 flyers, the 1/2 faerie duelists (which basically makes them a skynight legionare PLUS removal for 2 mana....) and the 0/6 walls. High alert basically makes those cards extremely busted for just 3 mana, seems legit. It would have made almost every one of your cards better.
@@LegenVD after doing it you will have completed all of the starter deck upgrades, but since ravnica allegiance is out you could make a video explaining what cards you think could be nice upgrades for those decks, just commentate your thoughts would definitely watch it
Ethereal absolution is indeed super strong, especially in sealed/draft. I did lose to it a few times, but I also won games by stealing it with eyes everywhere for a winning blow. Opponents don't expect it, and it kill all their tokens instantly, leaving them naked in the air vs your boosted flyers. Good times :)

Great video, as usual! What are your thoughts on Ill-Gotten Inheritance? I feel like everytime I face that card, it wins the game for my opponent... That constant ping and heal is a pain in the ass.
I don't get it why you don't like thought collapse. I believe it is a very good choice especially in limited with smaller decks and all, being a counter and a mill mechanism

Didn’t do a draft but did my first sealed where you get 6 packs. Went 7-1 was such a fun experience. The early game winner was azorious guildmage. One blue mana and tap it to draw 1 discard 1. Ended up being a 5 color deck lol.
One question from a total noob ... why can you still do matches after you already lost two times? I thought after two losses the draft is over? I really do not understand how that works :D
@@LegenVD Thanks! Now that you told me I've seen the counter on top of the draft-screen :D I'm totally overstrained (is it the right word??? :D ) where I have to pay attention to everything. But I guess even an old brewery horse like me will learn it some day :)
When are they gonna have f2p draft? These traditional draft have really bad payout reward. You need to win 4 times just to breakeven on your entry fee on 2 chances. The gold draft is so much better.
Actually, on 3 wins you get even in gems, and gain 4 boosters plus the cards you drafted. And best of 3 reduces variance, i still think it's expensive, though.
@@ElPalooo It's expensive cuz nobody really care about the booster. They just want to make enough so they can draft again and these traditional draft are really bad for that.

Loved seeing you rare draft lol. That is what makes drafting difficult for me. It is hard not to draft that off color mythic/rare when I dont have it.

Inheritance definitely went up in my estimation since this draft was recorded. It is still better in a more proactive deck than this one.

I've been waiting to see you draft. How highly do you rate theater of horrors? Also how highly do you rate I'll gotten inheritance?
Theater is great, Inheritance is very good too but better in a more aggressive deck.
Why are you taking Azorious Guildgate instead of Azorious Locket? I thought ramp and later card advantage is good in draft, which tends to be slow.
Locket costing 3 mana is a big investment, the Gate improves your manabase without taking up a spell slot.

More of the guilds have keywords that incentivize aggro decks.

Each match is best-of-3 games. If you lose two matches you're out in this event, but it doesn't matter how many games you lose within those matches.

Quick draft does not break even until 5th or 6th win.
