The 4th match is why you're the best MTG content creator on TH-cam. Almost anyone would have been super tilted and salty (myself included) with that Biblical level of flooding. You just give the traditional "well, that was unfortunate" and move on. Really enjoy the calm, measured game play. Keep up the great work.

War of the Spark Draft felt really summed up by your comments when you opened Oketra - you wanna draft the solid, consistent, synergistic deck, but then you get a bomb not in your colors but it's so good and the format so heavily favors big bombs that you're practically forced to switch then and there.
Not to mention, that Oketra is probably *the* biggest draft bomb in this format.
And then seeing three mayhem devils get passed after was almost painful

Man this draft really wanted you to go mardu. Sorin with mayhem devils and sacrifice outlets/fodder like tibalts and the grim initiates would have been so disgusting, in theory. but the mana base does suck in this set unless you're green

Damn, the extreme mana flooding in games 2 and 3 of the 4th match/opponent was infuriating to watch. As if not drawing Oketra wasn't bad enough.
This format really is easy, as long as you remember to draw your over-powered rares/mythics.

Man the Red/Black deck would have been amazing, the pack 2 Oketra really baited you hard. Gotta love navigating these kinds of situations.

Nice job pivoting after the oketra and putting together a solid deck but man do I love me some mardu for sacrifice. You even had a chance at it with some of those later picks like sorin and rising populace. Maybe for the best tho as that deck really wants a spark reaper or two

Hey, great content for beginners on your channel. I wanted to ask if you would ever consider making an "Upgrading Boros Bataillon" video. Its the deck that you get for free with Twitch Prime at the moment. Loving the game so far and I would really enjoy it if I could upgrade that deck a bit.
The Feather deck is probably the closest deck to Boros Batallion, but it will take a lot of upgrading.
Kindda weird to have Feather prophet and jaya in the same deck as Oketra , good stuff nonetheless

WAR limited sucks. you get certain bombs, easy max wins. otherwise you lose easy
Winning handily if you happen to unpack bombs isn't exclusive to WAR. It might be the fact that its a fresh set of cards but I happen to like limited in WAR and I play only limited, several drafts per day for the last few years.

I don't mean to be condescending here but that seems like an odd request to make. Every draft video he puts out is essentially a tutorial. The man literally talks through every pick he makes in detail, alternative options, etc. If you are not learning from watching this then I don't know what else you are expecting from a "dedicated tutorial".

I fought throught Oketra (L-W-W) in sealed event in paper (it was really hard for my Abzan deck with only 2 Massacre Girls as rares) and lost 2 traditional drafts in MTGA to Kefnet, Oketra, Lilli (4 times in 2 matches thx for recovering from graveyard) and Bant Proliferate with 1/1 Spirit and Roalesk.
Drafting against mythic(and some rare) bombs is so annoying!
Even going against Abzan(mirror) in sealed, facing Ajani, Vivien, Vivien's Arkbow and Sorin and no mythics is tought as hell in sealed.
I know you are very impressive player, but tell me truth please, how many drafts and sealed you has played in MTGA comparing to youtube uploads? 4 times more? 10 times more? I'm surely much worse player, but i just can't get any bombs and hardly can build 2-colors deck with enought synergy in all my attemps in limited.
it's 1 to 3 drafts roughly 4 times a week to 1-2 youtube uploads per week. TH-cam only gets the most insane drafts, mediocre drafts are not interesting enough. LVD wins around half or slightly more of his draft runs. I'd urge you to catch his streams from time to time - you can't tell by TH-cam, but chat actually takes active part in building the draft deck, and there's plenty of people to ask "why X, not Y" questions and theorycraft with. I've learned a lot just by being there and watching drafts.
My draft runs so far: 5-1, 5-1, 5-1, 4-2, 5-1, 3-2

I'm not sure, that seeing Oketra just recks your opponent game after game is more interesting, than defeating opponent with pure strategy and good common-uncommon builded deck with no actual bombs.
This video one match was turn 3 rare, turn4 rare, turn 5 mythic. I came to this channel not for facebashing, but for knowledge and interesting gameplay.

@@ST1mAPBYou can watch Twitch VODs then. Slightly less informative than actually being there, but still has a very decent educational value.
Also, sadly you're not likely to see bombless decks perform well in WAR, just because the set is so insanely bombastic that everyone is almost bound to have at least one huge haymaker in their deck. There were some strategic GRN/RNA drafts back in the day.
I feel like if he went for the ob and mayhem it would had brew a pretty solid rakdos. Better than the boros he ended with just to have oketra. All those pings would be annoying for the opponent. He skipped 3 mayhems and 2 obs....
Is this guy just lucky or super OP? Or just both? Must be irritating to play against :(
