    I have had the nari ultimates for a couple of years now and I absolutely love them. The only reason I’m looking around is to see if there are any headsets that have better and more pronounced heptics or bass. Has anyone else had both and think the kraken v3 are better also?

    • @60Seconds_60
      @60Seconds_60 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have been using nari ultimate for 4 years. I switched to kraken v3 pro yesterday and now I regret it. I can't plug and use 2 headphones into the system because their software conflicts. On top of that, Nari is better than me in most aspects. There are no refunds for headphones in the country I live in, so not using a product that I paid $200 for makes me angry.

    Sorry. But I got the Kraken V 3 pro and returned it because it was way less comfortable than the Nari ultimate because of the much smaller and narrower earcups. The ultimate is heavier but much more comfortable for longer gaming sessions.

    • @OptionsFinest
      @OptionsFinest  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can understand that, everyone has their personal preference. For me the earcups on the Nari are nice, but the weight of the headset can wear on my after a while. Also the upper headband isn’t as pleasant as the Krakens, it tends to hurt my head after a while. But to each their own, thanks for sharing! I’m always trying to see how people like whichever one they choose.

    Ive had my nari ultimate for 2 years, the haptics got a lot less pronounced/burned halfway through(suggestion: dont try to connect them to your phone via adapters, ive used an otg samsung adapter for my galaxy s10+ and im fairly certain thats what "burned" the haptics).
    Recently they broke down completely, not turning on, not charging(battery life was more than fine beforehand), sent them for repairs, lucked out and got reimbursted.
    More than likely will be getting the v3 pro, as i see it as a direct upgrade considering my personal negatives of the nari - the "self adjusting" aspec is annoying, had the tendency to not feel right, the extra weight is felt after a while, but absolutely isnt detrimental, the mesh underside of the top holder requires cleaning occasionaly as i have oily hair, manually turning haptics is annoying, and yeah, the mic is just garbage for a 200$ headset.
    Id only say the nari is more aesthetically pleasing than the v3 pro as far as pros go.
    Viewing it as a headset only, ignoring haptics, id say its a decent headset, meaning for the price there are better alternatives, but its fine, not amazing.
    I absolutely fell in love with haptics though, even with the mentioned negatives i still wouldve suggest buying it for that alone( not the regular nari assuming its the same minus haptics), so much so that im willing to considerebly overpay just to have haptics, id even say i wont ever buy a headset without it.
    Its pretty reminiscent of being near a subwoofer at a concert, quite an unique experience and imo a massive win for razer.

  • @storima3228
    @storima3228 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The one drawback of the haptics is that your teammates and friends speaking to you will also set the rumble off too which is a little annoying - perhaps the next generation of haptics will be able to tell between in-game audio to enhance and chat audio to ignore... Thats true or false?

    • @OptionsFinest
      @OptionsFinest  ปีที่แล้ว

      I personally thought that the Krakens sounded louder. I attributed it to the build in how it felt more compact on your ear to better insulate the sound on the inside of the earcup. Plus the haptics would provide that extra kick!

    Hey man, I might get a Razer Nar Ultimate instead of the Kraken Pro because of the Kraken Pricy... I m getting a used pair. My Question doesn't The " Nari Ultimate "Have a HyperSense Effect? So both have the same Effect. Why did you choose the Kraken Pro? Also, I don't care about Mic At all. I mainly want it for gaming movies and music, just good audio.

    • @OptionsFinest
      @OptionsFinest  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, thanks for the comment and welcome to the channel! The Naris do have hypersense but when they came out there was less emphasis on the feature. With the Krakens I believe they put more of a focus on it and that’s evident in the manual controls physically on the headset resulting in a better outcome. (In my opinion) Ultimately that’s why I chose them over the Nari’s but I’m still using the Naris today so you can’t go wrong. Let me know how you like them when they come in the mail!

      They have very similar audio systems except with the Kraken’s, Razer seemed to consolidate it into one audio channel. With the Naris there’s a game channel and voice channel that you’re able to manually control on the headset. If I didn’t have any limitations I would’ve kept the Krakens over the Naris. They seemed to deliver a crisper sound, less complicated, and felt better to use. I only kept the Naris due to financial reasons..

      So sorry for getting back to late! I’ll get rigjt to it. The bass on the krakens are a lot bolder in my opinion, and you don’t need much adjustment in the settings for them to pack a punch! As for hearing directions, I’d have to side with the krakens. Sometimes I have a hard time hearing in the Nari’s bc they aren’t as insulated making the noise escape easier and it being difficult to tell where from. Hopefully I caught you in time for the decision! Thank you so much for the kind words my man, T!

      @@taylane6048 I recently purchased the kraken v3 pro's to replace nari ultimates that stopped keeping a charge. I'm happy with the purchase but they are definitely less comfortable than the naris.

  • @michalvanco3148
    @michalvanco3148 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I have nari ultimate, tried to replace it for kraken v3 pro just for Nari having issue with mic interfering with haptics being a little too strong and mic build is not very suitable for it as how headset is shaking mic is rattling inside the hole and creates interference. This does not happen on kraken obviously as mic is detachable and built different way. However i had to stick with nari still and returned krakens back for refund as kraken v3 pro is full of issues, synapse crashing freezing, THX channel output loosing audio when sound is paused (luckily can be workaround by disabling thx within synapse so it wont mess with it), most important chargning issue - never fully charged and charging itself never ends, when replug it resets the whole process which is pretty dangerous as it is still just li-ion battery, volume imbalance when volume control wheel is at 50-75% volume - above and bellow it does not appear. Not to forget sometimes synapse not recognizing connected headset etc.
    Still not fixed though, had to create ticket to get through customer support lies finally to dev team saying its still not fixed, so i am waiting till i can buy it again once major issues are gone.
    edit: forgot to mention that went for RMA ... twice ... did not help obviously.

    • @OptionsFinest
      @OptionsFinest  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for taking the time to comment your experience! I’ve heard of the problems from someone else on my review video. The only issue I had with it was the charging issue, but I chocked it up to a slight error so whenever it was charging for a couple hours I’d unplug it without even thinking. That seemed to work for me because I’d get enough time out of it. For the THX, I never liked the sound quality of it so I never used the feature so that could be why I never encountered that problem. Other than that I didn’t experience it, maybe you got part of a bad batch? Or that they need to be recalled😂 I guess time will tell.
      As for your support requests with them, keep me posted! I’d like to hear how it goes and maybe it can help some other people who stop by!

      @michalvanco3148 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@OptionsFinest yeah for sure I will create another after some time to get to know whether finally fixed or not. The thx issue is bug within synapse and as I saw everyone who uses kraken v3 pro with THX on within synapse encountered this problem. But yeah disabling helps, it still works better in my opinion as surround works without additional mess. And charging I went for safe way as I don't want to blow up or destroy this battery... It's still li-ion which does not like such behavior, and already saw dead batteries in v3 pro after month lol

    • @OptionsFinest
      @OptionsFinest  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea that’s good you continue to play it smart I was doing the same. That’s similar for all of the headphones they try to integrate the THX with, it doesn’t sound much better.

    The nari's have a button for mute.way easier and u can retract it and it will mute as well with led light letting u know if its muted..the kraken u have to take the mic off and the mic quality is bad..trust me u don't even sound natural🤦🏾 and the mic quality was clearer on the nari's unless he's losing his hearing and the haptic u can adjust it as how hard u want it to hit. and the cool jell in the cups is so nice feels soo cold and cool at times when you 1st put them on..so trust me I've tried both and I had to go back to the nari's and the wireless USB thats u can stick in the headsets is a nice touch.and has swivel to the cups and bass and mids sound more warm also an all fit headsets..its way too many good features to even go with the kraken...trust me..I don't know what he's thinking or maybe he just really like the way the kraken for its look..but id rather quality over looks..trust me you'll thank yourself for getting a more premium headset and its on sale from the same price of $200 down to $79 at best buy

    • @OptionsFinest
      @OptionsFinest  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment! While a I agree that the mic on the Krakens isn't much better than the Naris, I would still take the Krakens today. I still have the Naris now, and to this day, I have a hard time getting the sound to come out right. I constantly have to adjust the volume mixer to balance out the game and my friends talking. Having this problem lead me to abandon the feature to change the volume between game and communication and only have it on game. Wearing the Naris for long periods of time is extremely taxing on my upper head as well, the headband really presses in an uncomfortable way after a while and I liked the leather on the Krakens way more because of that. I personally felt that the sound on the Krakens were more robust and clearer do to better insulation. Everyone surely has their own opinion, but mine stands.

    Sorry but I have to say this is an unprofessional review as you are not doing the same tests to both headsets (you put the Kraken on the desk playing music while not doing the same with the Nari) and after watching the video I still can’t seem to understand how Kraken’s Hypersense is “more fun” than the Nari’s. And for me, having the Hypersense feature is the only reason why I bought the Nari Ult and would ever consider upgrading to the kraken as I only use the headset for single player games. And this review is not helping with the upgrade decision at all.

      I’d agree with you that I didn’t put the Nari on the desk to give an accurate comparison in that respect. In hindsight, I thought that I didn’t need to with the Nari since the hypersense wasn’t nearly as pronounced as the Krakens. When I said the Krakens are “more fun” I was referring to the physical mode adjustment for hypersense on the Krakens. To me that said it all. Other than that, I’d disagree that I didn’t perform the same tests. Sorry that you weren’t satisfied with the comparison. I’ll be sure to be more thoughtful when planning tests in the future. If you came to this video to decide whether you should upgrade, I’d HIGHLY recommend doing so. You don’t have the hassle of maneuvering different volumes on the Nari and I enjoyed the hypersense a lot more on the Krakens. Like I said, I highly recommend them. If you don’t like them, you can always return it and block my channel to never see ever again.

      @@OptionsFinest I'd say the most important aspect when comparing these two headsets is the Hypersense feature because they are the only headsets that have this feature, so when reviewing and comparing these products one needs to be more specific and detailed other than just saying "I think its good enough". You need to let your viewer know and understand why it is better. When I said the tests are not properly and fairly done, not putting both headset on the table is just an example . What's the haptic setting in synpase when you were testing them?? In your reply you still can't give me the specific reasons why the Kraken's Haptic feature is worth the upgrade. Of course I can go out and buy the headset and just return it if I don't like it, but then, what's the point of watching reviews on YT in the first place? Apparently the return them if you don't like them method is not convenient for everyone. I have nothing against you, I just thought I should let you know that this review didn't help my purchase decision at all, and tbf your block me if you don't like me attitude won't get you anywhere as a TH-camr. Good luck mate, hope you do better.

      I feel like you missed the part when I was talking about the hypersense settings. I’d agree that I could’ve done a better job describing the experience. When I was talking about the hypersense on the Krakens I was trying to display that there were different levels you can put on them without needing to go into Synapse. The 3 levels the Krakens had that you can manually change was much more practical since you could be in a really intense game scene and the feeling can be over the top. Instead of tabbing out to go into synapse, which is a pain, you can tap the button on the earcup and change it. That way you’re not getting hurt from the intensity. Or you simply don’t feel like going into the software and you want to lower it. I also spoke to the difference in general sound between the two in the video in regards to how the THX sounds and how complicated the Nari can be there. All of that contributes to the hypersense. With the Nari it sounds more echoey when hearing a lot of haptic feedback. It also shakes a lot more for every move making a sort of wrickity sound like metal clanging slightly. The Krakens felt a lot sturdier without that feeling, so you experience more of a genuine vibration. It feels like the headsets extra foam provides stability and a way to dampen the noise the physical headset can give off, different to the Naris. All of that equates to the Krakens being more fun, you can adjust haptic intensity on the fly, no physical sounds, and better feeling vibration due to the build of the headset having more foam. To your point about watching reviews, I still have the buy it and try it mentality. I always thought of review videos as a way to get a general feel of the product you’re thinking about. Someone can give you all the info and experience about the product but it still comes down to your personal experience at the end of the day because we all have our own opinions. Those can’t be formed without first hand experience. Lastly, to the point of the, “block me if you don’t like it,” I was hoping to add that in there as a joke. I always value everything any of my viewers say, which is why I reply to every comment. So I’m sorry for the confusion there but hopefully that explanation gives you more clarity.

    Nari Ultimate has "Ultimate"ly bad battery life compared to the Kraken V3 Pro. Jokes aside, the Kraken can last over 40 hours while the Nari doesn't even last 9 hours.
    Though I read somewhere the Nari can be worn while charging but the Kraken can't.

      Haha, I haven’t tested in length the battery life but I do know the Kraken is advertised higher than the Nari. Also I was able to charge both while wearing/using them so that’s a myth, I had no problems there. Thanks for watching!
