- Here we have a 2022 Tesla Model Y Long Range. This white on white Model Y comes with a dual motor setup with a 1-speed automatic transmission, and All-wheel drive.
Standard features of this Model Y include bluetooth audio, a backup camera, and LED headlamps. Additional features include a fixed glass panoramic roof, navigation system, heated seats, and a power liftgate. This particular model also comes with the full self-driving computer along with autopilot.

The sweet spot (bearing in mind ride stiffness ) is the model Y LR … BUT WITH the $2000 performance boost.
This gives 0-60 in 4.2S … which sounds perfect for all round fun
Still too slow. Once you’ve been under 3 seconds in a tesla, 4’s seems super slow

I love love love love love love love love love love the new Model Y only the Performance model only because I like the sportiness it's fast like the Model S Plaid I like the look of it. I am fascinated with EVs. I have been a technology professional for 20+ years and have followed EV all the way back to GM's EV1 in the mid 90s. When you think about EV in comparison to the internal combustion engine, it is still in it's infancy. The internal combustion engine dates back well over 100 years and has been perfected and refined ever since still to this day...they have continuously gotten better and more efficient over time, just like any technology has. EV's will be no different...over time they will get better and better. I don't think in 2022 they are ready for every person who drives a car to own one, our infrastructure and our power grids cannot currently support as some today would love (to do so ensures lots of brown outs and black outs), for everyone to own an EV and abandon gas or diesel powered vehicles, but it will continue to be a gradual shift and progression over time. Some may disagree or not understand but currently as it is, it is coal, fossil fuels, that provides the power to charge these vehicles. That cannot be denied. So that being said, technology will evolve and over time just like with the internal combustion engine, this is where we will navigate towards. I think a graceful approach will be the EV's success. Good review of a fascinating piece of technology. Tesla has come a long way since 2008-2009, but as with any vehicle, accessibility to service after the sale, will be key. I think they are getting better, but still have a way to go.
Whether your aware of it or not they first started making electric vehicles in the 1800's but the technology back than was just not up to par compared to combustion engines.
Great info - something not many want to hear. I don't know why. People think everyone will drive an electric car within 3 years lol. That means everyone and their mother and grandmother but i seriously doubt that. Just goggling used cars right now, the quantity that is electric is 1%......People gotta be patient. Who knows long-term if it's 100% better since we're still burning those fossil fuels. I think 10 years is reasonable to think "the majority" of people have electric cars.

Yes. For the cars built in China the quality is top notch, expect the same or better for cars from Austin Texas. Cars from Freemont are still struggling with quality.

You're camera is placed too high which makes its very distracting and difficult to watch. I would even get a custom mount made if I were you. Just go to any fabrication shop and they should be able to build something for you. Other than that I really enjoy your content.

Mach E looks better, range is more accurate, rear side airbags, and ev tax credit.

Tesla may have thought you were veering off the road. Kind of like a take control of the wheel feature if that makes sense.
