Thank you so very much for sharing this technique. I searched everywhere for directions and got really lucky when I found you on here. I kept seeing cards on Pintrest using this technique, but no one explained how to do it. Who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks ? I'm 79 and still learning. Thanks for making my day. ❤
Very versaille is my favourite stamp. It creates the most stunning cards in a variety of colours. I wish I had seen this video before I tried doing stampin blends on my acrylic blocks. Oh well. Had to try a technique didn't I - lesson learned hard. As always, beautiful cards Sharon. Love them.
I am finally so much better! I was very sad to miss the Retreat! We love doing those! You are very welcome for this Technique! I hope you have fun with it!
So hard to pick a favorite stamp! I am glad that you enjoyed these cards! I do have a blog post with how my studio is organized txstampin.com/best-card-making-hacks-successful-projects/ if you want to check it out. I am so glad you love my sense of style! Thank You!
Oh wow Sharon, I love this technique! I don't have many ink pads with me as I am still stuck in a different State due to the State between the one I am in and the one I live in being in total lockdown and no one is allowed in or out. But I shall give it a go with the few colours I do have. I guess I could just colour directly onto them like you did with the neutral colours, as I brought all my markers *hehe* Cheers for the beautiful samples :-) From Heidi in Australia :-)
Beautiful cards, thank you! Boy, I love this stamp set - so pretty. To prevent card stock warping, I have heard it helps to tape down, create and let dry on a clipboard. I have not tried this myself yet, but it may be helpful if someone wanted to give a try... 😁
Hi Sharon, your cards are soooooooooo gorgeous! I love that technique. To flatten the cardstock I always put my old dictionaries on there overnight, so they can still be of use, can't they? LOL and TFS from Germany
Hi Sharon! Loved this technique, but when I tried it I had challenges getting the amount of water right. I was using basic white card stock. Would it work better with thick card stock? I really want to get this right since it is a lovely technique!
You may have missed where I said you should use Shimmery White or Watercolor paper. The other papers just don't handle the water. I hope you will try it again!
If you use water pencils you couldn't use the acrylic block. If you want to use watercolor pencils I would mask off the area that you want to watercolor with a removable tape. Then use the pencils and spray with water. You still want to use Shimmery White or Water color paper for this technique!
Very pretty cards!! TY!
You are so welcome!

Taping it down does help with the warping. It will still warp a little because it is paper. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Sharon,
your cards are soooooooooo gorgeous! I love that technique. To flatten the cardstock I always put my old dictionaries on there overnight, so they can still be of use, can't they? LOL and TFS from Germany
Thank you so much! Oh what a great way to use your dictionaries! LOL!
So different. Another technique I’ve never seen
So happy I could teach you a new technique!

@@TxStampinSharon Thanks Sharon! I remember now!
Have you tried using alcohol instead of water? I’m wondering what the effect would be like. The drying time would be shorter I think
You know I haven't. You are correct on the drying time. I think it would be like alcohol inks! I will try it!
Sharon can u use water color pencils to do same effect?
If you use water pencils you couldn't use the acrylic block. If you want to use watercolor pencils I would mask off the area that you want to watercolor with a removable tape. Then use the pencils and spray with water. You still want to use Shimmery White or Water color paper for this technique!
