Hi Jackie and Jesi. I had so much fun watching you both create and have so much fun! This is a different technique that I want to try now. Thank you for sharing.
So fun to see you two together. Just as much fun as your parents together. HINT: put a piece of bling on your smudge. LOL. (sorry, I like black stamping also . . . )
Hi Jackie and Jessie. Happy Valentine's day. So nice to meet you Jessie. Your mom is a treasure and I've learned so much from her. The cards were great and I can really see myself tryimg this technique. Thanks so much. 😊🇨🇦
Loving the cherry! (I like colour too). I've used this technique before - a long time ago, but had forgotten it. Nice to be reminded. It's great for elegant, simple cards.
I’ve been using stamp blocks for yrs. Even before Hero came out w/their blocking stamps. If you use glossy paper it’s a more vibrant image b/c ink sits on the paper instead of soaking in. I like both ways. I’ve used an old yellow mustard container for my water for yrs. I do a lot of water coloring & don’t like having open water on my desk. I’ve been stamping 25+ yrs & am a messy person when I’m creating. Great video, you explained everything very well. Amy
Sorry Jess, I won’t get into the middle of that, but I do love ALL the cards and will certainly try this technique. I like learning new techniques. Good job to you both.
Love This!!! So MuchFUN Watching Y’all present together is a Treat. Jessie you are doing Great!!! Don’t give up or get to frustrated. Remember your Mom has had a Lot of experience doing this. When you have that Much Experience you Will be Amazing Too. Thanks for New Technique I hope to use /practice with Soon.
I love that you showed mistakes. It is so helpful to see and learn ways to fix the problems (besides the trash can) . Great job on the colorful cherry!
Great technique, thank you, ladies, for sharing! As I'm not such an awesome stamper yet as Jackie is, I often get smears and smudges. They are NOT mistakes. They are the places to put embellishments 😂! Although I love the contrast black gives to color, I often use a very light ink for an outline, i.e. Soft Seafoam, and then use my Blends. Or any bright color, just like Jessie did!
On looking at the acrylic line, you can connect the line with the image by using a black ink pen. Add some more scribbles to the stem and non stampers will never know. Remember, boo boos can always be corrected by a clever artist. Thank you for sharing.
I couldn't agree more! Although, I wish I was more creative... My artistic sketchy scribble would look like I was just trying to scribble something out. 😂 Oh well, keep trying...
How lovely that your family like to join in and craft also - you obviously have great family support. Your daughter is a natural on camera too. Thanks for showing the process including what didn't work so we know what not to do! I've seen this technique before but it was good to be reminded to try it with newer sets. Thank you from 'down under' in sth Australia
Great cards! I have always loved this technique, but always forget about it. LOL What a fun time, stamping with your daughter. When I first saw her, I totally saw Dave! I see your features too, of course, Jackie. TFS 🤗
I forgot about this technique, thanks for the reminder. Your cards came out really cute, my fav is the orange/yellow design on kraft. Super cute. :) I would opt for a larger piece of paper so I could frame it out correctly. I always put stuff on crooked! 🙃
Great technique on these cards. Love both the black and the cherry. I can’t wait to try both. Need to put my thinking cap on for using a color other than the black.
Interesting technique. I only have blends. You two were great and the first people to wear the sweatshirts. Love them. What sizes were you each wearing?
It's Stampin' Up! branded merchandise. Here's the link: www.stampinup.com/categories/shop-products/other-products/branded-merchandise?dbwsdemoid=1940 And I do think they run small, so keep that in mind if you want to get one!
Why don’t you use a stamp positioner? I find you can clean up the stamping errors by restamping. It also avoids the messes from the stamping that comes off the block by accident.
oh love seeing mom and daughter stamping together.....you guys are funny
My mom heart is always happy when my daughter can join!
Thank you for the technique. Fun seeing your daughter by your side .
Our pleasure!

Jesi did a great job, it's pushing me outside of my "box"
Jackie, You just made the start of my day happy. Was fun to see your daughter playing with you. I tried the technique and was inspired. Grandma Jane

Fun fun fun she's a good mix of you and Dave! Love the heart looks you came up with
I love that your daughter tried and showed us something different from black. I do love the cherries!
She will be so happy to hear this!
Super cute video. It was fun to watch.

Both did a lovely job

Beautiful cards love this idea, nice to see your daughter with you she's so like Dave xx
Haha! She does have a lot of his personality!

She WILL be amazing.... have plans for her to practice more! lol
Awesome tutorial!!! Thanks for sharing Jackie and Jesi!!
I love that you showed mistakes. It is so helpful to see and learn ways to fix the problems (besides the trash can) . Great job on the colorful cherry!
All paper has two sides!! And can be covered up!
Great cards and fun video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great cards and so nice to share fun times with daughters.
Yes it is! We had a blast doing this this video.
Love this!!
I do like the cherry card best!
Jesi will be happy to hear that!
Great technique, thank you, ladies, for sharing! As I'm not such an awesome stamper yet as Jackie is, I often get smears and smudges. They are NOT mistakes. Wonderful technique!
Glad you like it!
unique way to use the blocks.
Yes! They're not just for holding your stamps!
On the second to last cherry image, I would have put a gem over the unwanted black spot.
I do like the technique and will try it with my water-based markers.
Great tip!!!
That's a great idea! Embellishments are the best.
Wonderful
This is an amazing, simple concept with endless possibilities!! Thanks for always inspiring and challenging us!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love these cards. I also prefer the black stamps, but the cherry is nice too! ;)
Like the technique - can't wait to try it! Love all the cards - especially the cherry 😉 😉
Jesi will appreciate the love for the cherry!!
Great tips!
Glad you think so!
Neat idea!
Glad you think so!
❤❤❤
Great idea

I love having my daughter and my hubby stamping with me!
Love the technique’s. Thank you for sharing ❤
Love these cards!
Such a fun technique that makes cards so pretty! :)
Glad you like them!
Love the cherry card ❤
Great cards! I have always loved this technique, but always forget about it. LOL What a fun time, stamping with your daughter. When I first saw her, I totally saw Dave! I see your features too, of course, Jackie. TFS 🤗
Hahah!! Every once in a great while someone will see some Dave in her!
Wonderful cards! Love the black but I also love the cherry. Thank you for showing a variety ❤
The options are endless with this technique... we were hoping to show that!
I forgot about this technique, thanks for the reminder. Your cards came out really cute, my fav is the orange/yellow design on kraft. Super cute. :) I would opt for a larger piece of paper so I could frame it out correctly. I always put stuff on crooked! 🙃
There are so many techniques out there it's hard to remember them all! Glad this could be a reminder.
Great technique on these cards. Love both the black and the cherry. I can’t wait to try both. Need to put my thinking cap on for using a color other than the black.
It's hard! Black is the easiest!! And it goes with everything.
Love this idea. And the card your dauther with the cherry smuts. She can juse to put some embellisment like rhine Stones or like orthe stones
Fun technique!! Presume we should start with a clean block -- what's your recommendation on cleaning blocks?
You can clean them with soap and water, or alcohol wipes work great too.
Interesting technique. I only have blends. You two were great and the first people to wear the sweatshirts. Love them. What sizes were you each wearing?
I'm wearing a XXL and my daughter has on a XL. I love this sweatshirt! But they do run a little small...
@@KlompenStampersJackieBolhuis that's what I thought and why I asked.
Where did you get the hoodie...love it.
It's Stampin' Up! branded merchandise. Here's the link: www.stampinup.com/categories/shop-products/other-products/branded-merchandise?dbwsdemoid=1940
And I do think they run small, so keep that in mind if you want to get one!
Would this technique work using alcohol in the spritzer?
I'm not sure... you'd have to give it a try and let me know!!
What size are the blocks you used please?
You can use whatever size you have. We used a variety.
I don’t have markers, but if I used my ink pads with a brush I think I could do this
That could work... give it a try!
What kind of paper did you use? Cardstock or watercolor?
This was with cardstock!
Why don’t you use a stamp positioner? I find you can clean up the stamping errors by restamping. It also avoids the messes from the stamping that comes off the block by accident.
I often do use it. Just not all the time. This probably would have been a good card to use it on though.
I "m going to tell Dave , you made a whoops.....:)....
I make lots of them! lol
