A 9.2 is the strongest in US recorded history. A 9.6 would kill just about everyone at its epicenter. I don't think any of the fault lines in the US can even make a 9.6. An asteroid strike could go higher, but after you reach 10.0 it's pretty much game over everywhere. Try standing through that! :P
@@4amcripple That's not how that works. The fault has to build the pressure to release it. The San Andreas fault can't build enough pressure, because it's constantly giving. The Cascadia Subduction Zone, however, which intersects the San Andreas, is _more_ than capable of producing a magnitude 9 earthquake.

Really depends on how high your falling from each floor you hit, each floor you crash into is gonna slow you down, which could be enough to get you down to the bottom so long as you do keep crashing into said floors from a reasonable height, which highest height a human can realistically survive a fall from is about 100ft (however unlikely), each floor is about 13ft high and you've statistically got a 75% chance on surviving falls from 30ft (world journal of emergency medicine), you'll definitely be severely injured and the likelihood you could walk from this is extremely low, but as long as you did land on every floor on your way down you could technically survive at least initially

Yes, advanced flight directors and autopilots for helicopters can control the aircraft in all axes, and often they have modes for hovering built in, including maintain altitude, lateral veloctiy hold, hover, and/or autolevel.
I would probably believe this over the 2012 movie more. There would be a ton of panic and the traffic would probably be a nightmare all things considered but you know there would be that one dumb Elon stan that would try to driver over the cars with a cybertruck and fail hard.
This is just a Hollywood movie. The reality of an earthquake of this magnitude would be the scariest moment of anyone’s and everything’s life. The Cascadia fault line I believe will go first and send a tsunami to the west coast

I did enjoy how this is one of the few movies where Dwayne Johnson wasn’t just playing The Rock
And yet, it's still technically is a movie about the rock (a lot of rock)...
He literally still played himself.. he’s a horrible actor.
@@nathanclarke2501chill what did he do
Everyone is always amazed at the Hollywood sign being destroyed. Those letters are barely standing compared to an outhouse.
It's the first thing aliens would destroy when they invade.

Modern helicopters do have autopilot... this isn't modern helicopter 😅
The Bell 412 from the movie doesn't have auto hover, but the new Airbus H160 does.

The most ludicrous part was when they just happened to find their daughter.
