I was there three weeks ago, it was a lot busier than shown here. They limit daily visitors to 30,000 and they were all queueing in the carousel (that's the name of the shopping place) under the pyramid.
Here's the hell of the delemma. Should the Child of Christ step forward with the Mother, proclaim the bloodline and flip two thousand years of religion created by the Church, setting relations back to the dark days of the Crusade, or let things slide along until a happy balance could be achieved.
Why does it matter? The important part of Christianity is the whole supreme being concept and the instructions imparted by said being on how to live. Everything else is just set dressing. Also, it’s the church. By definition they don’t care about proof, and their followers don’t either. So it would at most prove something irrelevant to people who ignore objective reality.
No delemma at all. The revelation of a bloodline of Jesus of Nazareth would mean next to nothing to Christianity at large. To those who believe at Jesus Christ was God begotten as Man it would not particularly detract from thing, only enhance the belief that Christ who shared all things with mankind but sin, partook in procreation in marriage and produced off-spring. This has been accepted as being possible in some sects of Eastern Orthodoxy and Oriental Orthodoxy. The tomb itself is certainly some strong evidence, however there is little to no proof beyond the claims from the Priory of Sion that the corpse within, even if it is that of a first century Hebrew woman of the area of Israeli and if it is possible to establish a genetic line of ancestry between her DNA and that of Sophie and her brother it will not be very convincing. The lack of a Catholic oral tradition or any historical reference to the location of the tomb of Saint Mary Magdalene in France would be an immense counter-proof to any claims to the corpse in the grave being that of the saint. The Islamists would either not believe it or accept as being likely possible, it does not alter much regarding the status Jesus of Nazareth as a prophet in Islam. Most atheists and agnostics will not give a fig about it beyond a brief period of hyper excitement during its fifteen days of fame in the media limelight and some historian scholarly and academic studies after the hue and cry dies down.
Jesus was fully human, and fully Divine. But we're all fully human. The significance of Jesus was not due to the specific human that he was, his blood type, his DNA, his allergies, etc. His significance was due to the confluence of man and God. The blood relations of his physical body are not significant except thru their proximity and witness to His confluence.

I do enjoy this movie. The premise is based on nonsense and isn't at all historically accurate, but something doesn't need to be real to be an entertaining story.
So, the body/sarcophagus would have to have been moved in complete secrecy sometime in the 1980s and re-buried under the Museum. With nobody trying to figure out why they're burying it or asking any questions.
The movie misses out on so much. Proving she's related to a body isn't interesting. Proving the body is the Biblical Mary is the interesting part, and that's established by all the documentation. The proof was always the paper trail.

This book/movie is so confused. Desperately trying to say Jesus is just a man so nothing special, but also that Mary Magdalene - by virtue of being Jesus' wife - is basically a goddess worthy of veneration and that her and Jesus' descendants are something special. Well which one is it?
It's both in this case: The Bible depict Jesus as a human male and was capable of miracles, and the book/movie acknowledges both sides. Mary Magdelene is only venerated by the Priory of Sion because they are concealing Jesus's royal bloodline. But the Priory's worship was rooted in the paganism of "joining of male to female" to find Transcendence (i.e. Sophie interrupting her grandfather's ritual), not necessarily Mary Magdalene herself. She was otherwise labelled as a prostitute by the Church and, in their eyes, cast aside from history. The combination of Jesus having descendants, which the Church claims he had none, as well as having _living_ descendants, would be the kind of knowledge that would shake the very foundation of Christianity as it is today, that the Priory clearly found worthy of worship, and also worth killing for. TL;DR The book/movie was less focused on that Mary Magdalene is a "goddess worthy of veneration" and more on "the actual fact that Jesus has living descendants" that makes said descendants something special.
Because it's about the fact that the global control the church has relies on misogyny. The heir to the holy bloodline being a woman would weaken all their claims about the importance of women in the gospel.
2000 years have past and yet there is only one known heir to mary. It's almost as if the most powerful royal families in history have had far worse survival chances then the average streetkid. It's almost as if the global population hasn't multiplied from roughly 300 million to 7+ billion in those 2000 years. You know what, either those priori twats are really terrible in keeping records, really bad in protecting or really elitist in selecting who gets to be the official heir. nonetheless still a good movie , despite the actor revealing himself to be an equal elitist twat.

Yes, it is just a movie based on a book...It is a great story though.
It is like another book that has been the source of many movies as well.
The Bible. It too is a great story...many have called it and the story of Jesus "the greatest story ever told".
If it stirs your heart, rejuvenates your spirit and your faith,...be glad of it and try to be a good person, and live a good life. 🕊
I was there three weeks ago, it was a lot busier than shown here. They limit daily visitors to 30,000 and they were all queueing in the carousel (that's the name of the shopping place) under the pyramid.
of course it was busier. you were there when it was open. this was filmed when it was closed. you think the Louvre is open 24 hours a day?
That must be the most difficult end of the journey ever.
Now he has to keep that secret forever.
Always wanted to see John Cusak in this role
The blood relations of his physical body are not significant except thru their proximity and witness to His confluence.
lol she can reveal her self all she wants all the body dose is allow them to prove she’s distantly related to marry they have no body or dna to prove she’s from Christ’s blood line sense their is nothing to compare her to and only a handful of people will admit theirs more then a good chance he had a wife let alone that it was marry
@@tridentanimation2981 Oh please. They would see her as a huge cash cow. That's what religion is really about anyway.
There is a doubt over who my father was. My mother was Jewish and always prayed to my mystical consciousness to save the world. e.g. 1968. Fractal repeat. Many souls, many unsure of their ancestry. But with a commitment to life, liberty, and justice. We never know which of these conversations is two souls in the know having the conversation. Versus souls "in the spirit" that can have the same conversation, but the consequences are different...
Sophie putting her foot on the water was a nice touch.
I do enjoy this movie. The premise is based on nonsense and isn't at all historically accurate, but something doesn't need to be real to be an entertaining story.
Well it’s not a documentary, is it?
So, the body/sarcophagus would have to have been moved in complete secrecy sometime in the 1980s and re-buried under the Museum. With nobody trying to figure out why they're burying it or asking any questions.
In France, they can do that sort of thing
oh please. Biden was hidden in plain sight for over 4 years. Anything can be done.
Or it's in a catacomb under the museum proper. Paris is rife with hidden tunnels under the city, it's why there aren't any major high rise buildings.
tons of catacombs in paris but also probably not so hard to do during construction of that portion of the museum
If it was moved, the ancient riddle wouldn't show where it is. It had to have been there when the riddle was created.
The movie misses out on so much. Proving she's related to a body isn't interesting. Proving the body is the Biblical Mary is the interesting part, and that's established by all the documentation. The proof was always the paper trail.
Love the music in this movie.
When everybody liked Tom Hanks.
LIke him or not like him. He was/is a tremendous actor.
When did people stop liking tom hanks?

Let's separate the role/character to the person. Same with Will Smith..
@@wondernexus3d482 When was proved that he and other "celebrities" participated in pedophile parties at Jeffrey Epstein's island. wonder if he called Spohie up to say where she was?
I was pretty disappointed in the movie. The book was good, though, mainly because I read it three times and I had to justify my reading it three times.
The path is laid, a holy test.

In reality he actually found his entrance to the pizza gate building.
This movie is science fiction. If Peter Langdon walked out in the streets of Paris in these times, he would have been robbed!
Fantasy is pretty good.
Although in real life, when you see the inverted pyramid, it’s next to a Starbucks. No wonder the film makers cropped that bit out.
Why so people comment like the movie depicts real life events!? 😂😂😂 it’s pure plagiarism from “Holy Blood, Holy Grail” based on a 19th century grifter. 😂
the poetic message : she was since the first scene of the movie (Mary and Sophie) and is bury in a "male symbol" being the pyramid making it inverse into a "cup" the Holy grail
reality: so she is bury below a giant metal ass structure and nobody notice that ? xD lmao is not a secret if they can discover the tomb
Lets just ignore all the face the Louvre was founded One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty years after she died......Hollywood MAGIC :D
you do know sarcophogi can be moved right?
@@Guardian582 Explain that to me, they waited 1,750 to move her around because why?
@@MerchantIvoryfilms one i doubt they waited that long and 2 i can imagine they moved her SEVERAL times...why? to keep the secret, to keep the bloodline going, several other reasons, i mean look at the opus dei in the book/movie they would have murdered the family(and did her parents) to keep the secret as well
@@Guardian582 You didn't answer the question, why did they deiced that 1,750 years was the perfect time to put there there? Actually, Tom Hanks is an actor, playing a role in a scripted movie.
Pretty lady.
Both the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ are historical fact.
Er, nope.
Hope Hanks has left USA since Trump won the election.
