- So I finally got around to watching Tales of The Walking Dead. It was alright I guess. It didn’t really leave a lasting impression on me, but I do think that the idea of the show is really great. Showing us different pockets of survivors from all different times, the backstory of Alpha and I really think that this show has a lot of potential.

Honestly I would love a “what if” twd series. How cool would it be to see if Carl survived, or if Rick and Andrea got together, or if Rick had to deal w alpha
Any Kind of shows thats soo good can be good with an what if type series and twd is a good example of that

What if Eugene stayed with Negan?
What if Negan actually joined Alpha?
What if Andrea killed Daryl in season 2, when she thought he was a walker?
What if Dale/Hershel lived longer?
What if the Commonwealth or Negan's Saviors had to deal with the Whisperers?
Same. Do a what if...in graphic novel animation.
Remember Michonnes last episode how good the what if was and we seen Michonne as a saviour
We all want the biggest What if episode: What if Shane didn’t die?
The only one that is actually an amazing idea. Shane had huge potential. I doubt we lose the people we lose with Shane he has way more ready than rick

I like the idea of Carl being a wondering saver and I can image people in universe talking about there encounters with him and maybe give him name like “the one eyed wonder” or something along those lines
We need a Clementine series. Not just as a singular episode or something but a whole 6-8 season series where we get to see her grow up. Mostly following the source material but not 100% obviously.
While I’m not a huge fan of remakes, this is something that I would love to see some time down the road. She’s such an amazing character within the universe

I think a cinematic reimagining would have to be some years down the line maybe. I think a good idea would be just the first season with all the iconic moments and the finale being Lee’s death. Best way to have it. I think they could even manage to fit the season into one movie.
@@bigstevedzn2353 I disagree. I don’t think you could fit all of that into a movie whatsoever. Even just the first season. It would feel too rushed and the impact wouldn’t be there. I’d prefer just a whole series. Part of the experience of it would be seeing Clementine age. It’s her story really. They could even just call the show “Clementine: A Walking Dead Story”

When I watched tales I didn't like it at first once I saw what it was but once Dee's episode came along I saw what it could have been. I'm just now binging everything starting a few months ago so I figured it was just filler to gold fans over until the main characters came back
I do like the idea of a "Dog" centered episode, it could even be labled as "Tails of the walking dead" maybe lol.

The only thing that sucks about an Alexandria Tales episode is that they have already taken down the whole set including the wall, gates, windmill, church and other stuff. They put the houses up for sale too. They had to pay the city of Senoia for every year that it was up. They could reinstate a deal and put it back up but AMC is known to be cheap and probably wouldn't do it for a single episode of Tales. It's a bummer for sure. The Hilltop set is owned by AMC so they can always use the Hilltop again and again for Tales.
So odds are we will see Hilltop in Dead City then.
While the prospect of a TWD Telltale serie is appealing, I definitely really do believe that there is a ton of cool concepts that could make for great Tales episodes.
The Walking Dead TV Universe specifically has spanned over so much time, and with that there’s so much potential for compelling one-off stories (alongside character backstories). An apocalypse love-story (reminescent of Bill & Frank in Last of Us), seeing a welcoming community slowly devolve into an antagonist group (like with Terminus), following the start of the outbreak from the perspective of hospital workers and/or soldiers, etc. With a gripping script and nice locations, the anthology style could be successful!
Like we could have it in different countries like China, Chad, Romania just to name a few

If Tales actually did these episodes I would actually be excited for TWDU. I don't understand why they seem to hate their own franchise and don't just use what they have instead of coming up with random boring original material and retconning themselves. Apparently Scott Gimple had plans to bring back more old characters, but... didn't. Do the actors just not want to return??
Probably a budget-related problem, I like Tales but it didn't seem like they were given much money to put into it

@@bishbosh4815 maybe because AMC is notoriously cheap? They haven't even payed some minor actors for Dead City yet, and have fired Darabonth partly because of a budget dispute and cut after the main show made much better than expected, ofc people are going to assume budget wasn't high for this either especially when Tales wasn't pushed as much. And a lower budget means less set variety, action scenes, CGI and actors to make an example, this is going to limit the story. Take EP2 for example, it was great but the whole story had to be limited to a certain area, the timeloop was a good way to hide that, but it is still what it is.

I hope they will do a Beta Episode in Season 2. It would be cool seeing him sing on a stage before the apocalypse. I would also love to see Clementine and AJ. Another idea would be seeing the reapers attack settlements and killing lots of people. Or just show James (the former whisperer in the games) being with the whisperers and leaving.

I think they should do an episode of the Cosmonaut from Fear TWD. He got stuck in space on the ISS because the world went to shit. He was talking to Strand via radio and told him that he watched the world go dark. He knew he was floating around earth in his coffin. It's cool to think maybe there's a walker orbiting earth or maybe he left earth's atmosphere in time that he wasn't infected. Regardless it would be cool to see the outbreak from his point of view from space.
I want to see a pre apocalypse episode focusing on a day in the life of Rick and Shane on duty. Andy and Jon play so well off each other it would be an easy episode to write for Tales.

It would be a cool reveal if Georgie was a CRM spy travelling around the states planting seeds of survival in communities for an eventual takeover. Definitely would be a Tales episode though

As a huge fan of The Walking Dead Telltale game it would be an absolute dream to see Clementine make the jump to live action it would so incredible and tbh I'm surprised they haven't at least attempted to try to do this by now with how hugely popular the games are but yeah you got a point since the last of us game beat the walking dead game to live action first most people are gonna think the walking dead is copying the last of us even though the walking dead game did come before the last of us game but who knows anything is possible
It's not really possible since the telltale games are canon but to the comics. Like how jesus' last name was Monroe instead of Rovia, which are comics

Don’t get me wrong, I love the game so much, but I don’t understand why that means a show would be unnecessary?? There’s so many limitations to the game and honestly there’s a lot of terrible writing decisions they made especially in later seasons (like how they handled Kenny, Luke, Jane, etc.)… I would love to see an adaptation handle these stories and tell them in a different way.
This gave me so many ideas for TOTWD. Some of my ideas are:
1. A CRM episode. There is so much we don't know about with the CRM that I think an episode about them, no matter how small, would be really nice to see. It could be about just a regular CRM soldier or maybe even what happens to people labelled "B". Of course, this would have to have some relation to Rick and what happened to him, so that would give it even more weight as to plot importance. Either way this would be a great concept for an episode
2. MORE STORIES TAKING PLACE IN THE EARLY DAYS OF THE OUTBREAK! The first season of Fear was so good and utterly fascinating to me. What happened to the rest of the military? Did the president live, if so where is he/she? What did the ISS experience during the outbreak, were they affected? Literally so much potential and great concepts as well.
3. WTF I HEATH! I know he isn't that major of a character but the fact that they teased a clue about Heath's disappearance in the first season means that the writers have not forgotten about him. We know he's with the CRM to some extent so perhaps maybe it could tie back with the CRM episode concept. Still, it be a character we are familiar with and would give some nice closure to probably one of the most mysterious character fates (besides Georgie)
4. Luke and Molly. I bet nobody remembers these two characters at all as they were minor side characters in the Prison arc. Basically they were two of the kids that resided at the prison, along with Greg, Lizzy, and Mika. Anyways, when the prison was destroyed, Luke and Molly became the only ones from the prison whose fate is unknown. Of course, because they were so young it likely they died, but a story of two young kids trying to survive in a world this dangerous and hostile would be really exciting and heart wrenching to watch. It also has similar vibes to the Last of Us and TellTales TWD
5. This one is simple. Just give us an unapologetic, unredeemable asshole. If you've ever watched Train to Busan, you'll probably remember that shitty business guy who pretty screwed over everyone for his own self preservation. I think it would be fun to watch an awful person do whatever it takes to survive the apocalypse, even sacrifice people who had helped them along the way. It would be like Victor Strand, but even more conniving and manipulative.
6. Isolated survivors with little to no knowledge of the outbreak or the world at large. Fear's Dead in the Water series was ok, but the idea was really fascinating. Much like Rick waking up from his coma or the first season of Fear, no one had any idea what walkers were or that everyone was infected, or that bites were a death sentence. I think that's what makes zombie shows interesting and more fun to watch. The characters aren't as hardened or as knowledgeable as the usual survivors, meaning that everything is new to them and thus making the situation more dire for them. Fear of the unknown is more powerful than fear of getting eaten alive, and I think that's one of the things that made the first season of Fear compelling. Plus, we the audience would know what's going on, so its kind like the "character sits at a table not knowing there's a bomb underneath him, but we the audience know" kind of thing.
Maybe a episode of Rick and Shane in the pre apocalypse doing their job
They could've given us the Tank Walker story like we were supposed to get back in season 2. Possibly an episode of The Governor back when his daughter was alive. So many plots and side characters can be explored and deepen the lore
To add on to the attack on Alexandria real time episode. I think it would be pretty cool if it was a first person pov of a random Alexandrian trying to defend their home and family. Eventually during the last 10 minutes they die off and now you watch the perspective of a walker attacking people.
And to the telltale idea I would love it but they would have to break the games into separate episodes like the actual game to save on run time. I think a good way for them to test the waters on telltale media would be the 400 days episodes where you play short stories involving several people who all end up together eventually

I think some good episode ideas for a tales season would be:
The backstory of the terminus group showing how they started off as good people and got taken over.Another episode idea is the hospital group what happened either before beth came or after dawn and beth died.Another would be the beginning of the savior's and how negans rise to power came to be.Another would be shane and Lorie escaping the city with carl and finding carol and Andrea and Glenn.Another would be a backstory for tyresse and sasha and their neighbor who had the bunker.and the last one would be a Abraham and Rosita and eugene backstory showing them meet up with each other and on the road recruiting people in the army truck to go to dc.
The old man carl being an urban legend and saving people out of nowhere just some uber badass sounds f*cking awesome.
The real time Walker episode pitch is reminiscent of the scene from 28 days later when the survivors and soldiers are interrupted at dinner from an attack from the infected.
We need a dog episode, maggie, old man carl, and john dorie episode eventually

Something you might like to know is that recently, company Free League was licensed by AMC to create a tabletop roleplaying game set in the world of The Walking Dead. They held a successful kickstarter, and supporters recently got access to the PDF of the rules, for telling your own stories in the world of the Walking Dead. There's a large focus on playing characters with turmoil, and it makes walkers legitimately very deadly and threatening, especially acting in a group. Imagine telling a story with your friends, like a season of the show, and you end up surrounded by walkers- and the person who rolls the worst is attacked by the swarm, their life coming down to chance.

That's very intriguing, i think it would be interesting to explore Bob's story because it was touched very briefly in the show, or Governor origin comic adaptation or Noah and Dawn and so on

i honeslty love these ideas, i completely get your vision with the alexandria attack! i've been a huge fan of the last of us since it's release and only caught up with twd in the season 6/7 break, but i remember watching playthroughs of telltale games on youtube way back when they were released too and i would LOVE to see clemetine's story adapted. no one can dispute the success of both the tlou game and show, but imo just because one piece of media has done it doesn't make it the be all and end all of that particular trope; for example i know the contexts are different, but ellie and joel and then el and hopper have a similar relationship and are both beloved by so many people. i think especially with the game's success it could be phenomenal. sorry for the long comment, love your vids!

Technically the telltale's game are set in the comic universe not the TV universe
An episode I think would fit pretty well in this series comes from a scrapped Season 2 episode synopsis that was explained by Sam Witwer, the man who played the tank walker in the main show’s pilot. We basically would’ve gotten a prequel episode as to what happened to that man before Rick entered that tank, during the first few hours of society’s downfall at the start of the apocalypse.
I would like to see an episode showing what happened to Morales and his family as well as one that shows Sophia after being left behind in the forest next to the highway showing her getting infected and then Otis finding her either already turned or before that but maybe her screams after being bitten lead Otis to find her and he sees she’s been bitten so he brings her back to the farm and comforts her until she finally succumbs and he brings her into the barn just after reanimating. Also be showing the Governor’s daughter’s death and his decent into madness.
We need to have episodes of the atlanta survival group members, before rick came into play, or even morales before he meets rick.

Love all your ideas in the video. I will say that I personally like with Greg's 2000s as a mini series rather than a tales episode because you could have so much fun with it. Basically make it like the boys but then walking dead. I also felt speaking of clementine that there was a missed opportunity in the normal show cuz I think what fans kind of really wanted was just subtle Easter eggs to let people know that other things from the other walking Dead media was going on during the show and if I directed an episode or two I would totally have sneaked into walkers that have the 38 brand on them as a nod to season 3 of telltales of The walking Dead. Like if there was a more things like that, I think the fans would be really invested in it.
The Clementine/Lee episode honestly could be easily done it doesn't even have to be about them we could follow Glenn in that story making it double as his origin story and how he met the group in season 1 the story could start out in macon meeting lilly Larry Doug and Carley and then Lee Clementine Kenny Katcha and Duck could join them in the drugstore and it plays out how it did in the first telltale episode where Glenn leave to "find his friends in Atlanta" as he said but it doesn't end there we follow him into the city at night seeing the chaos of a falling Atlanta meeting up with maybe t dog amy and Andrea and a few others and eventually making it to the quarry and based on how well the viewers like the lee/Clementine storyline we could get a show about them I think it could work out great and easily make a brand new show with beloved characters the telltale story is far more darker and depressing than twd.
i hope they continue this series and improve on it i agree it has alot of potential and i genuinely LOVED some of the episodes nowhere near the main show but different and kinda fresh
i'd like a t-dog prequel episode, the episode after he dies, glenn mentions to hershel that when the outbreak first started, t-dog drove his van around churches, helping people who needed it. i think it would be great to see more of the early outbreak and t-dog; especially since irone singleton, the actor for t-dog would 100% be down to do that as hes still quite passionate about twd
I always thought Fear the Walking Dead should've been a seasonal anthology that tells different stories that happened in the beginning of the apocalypse.
If they can actually do what made Tales appealing in the first place, i.e. what if scenarios and bringing back old characters, it COULD be amazing. But as it is it's a fucking mess

I would definitely watch Dog. And you nailed it with the HR of real time walkers in Alexandria! I'm thinking like a tony jaa/ Cloverfield. Type scenes in my head just constant chaos but with one camera. Maybe a couple breaks to catch your breath but then right back in till the calm.
I cannot believe they haven't even tried to make a telltales twd show. Literally the last of us pulled amazing numbers, telltales twd could do the exact same.
I think it’s because skybound owns Clementine’s story, not AMC. So AMC would have to pay them a lot for it
@@Xpertfusion idk, I think technically twd owns clementine (aka amc) because even though clementine is their original character she is apart of twd universe that sky paid to use.
@@WHITExTRASH101 I believe skybound owns the comics. And AMC had to pay licensing fees to them (which includes Robert Kirkman) for them to adapt the comics into the main show. They don’t have to do that for the spin-offs though (which is why I believe they ended TWD in the first place, they didn’t want to pay Skybound anymore after Kirkman sued them)
So I do think they’d have to pay them for an adaption of the game as well. Which skybound does own.

I am 100% sure there will be a Commonwealth Tale of TWD or that it will be in some spin-off because the set for it is still intact. Maybe it will show the early days with the Milton family, Mercer, and Lance or it will be seen in some other spin-off although it would be perfect for Tales. I also hope to see the Governor episode ( maybe at the start of the apocalypse when his daughter was still alive ) and the Beta episode when he is still a singer before Alpha found him.

A Tales of the Walking Dead episode should take place in Alaska with Jesse Pinkman just after the outbreak began and show him reacting to it and surviving, that would be epic! We know that both The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad take place in the same universe so it could work.
Um definitely not the dates don't line up at all. There was a few fun Easter eggs but that's it
@@brade7022 Breaking Bad and El Camino end in 2010, the outbreak in the show begins in 2010, this isn’t following the comics, the show already broke canon and didn’t follow them.
@King of Portals and better call saul ends on December 10th 2010, well into the outbreak in twd timeline. Its a fun theory but definitely not the case.

@@brade7022 True, but where is Better Call Saul, in New Mexico. It’s possible that was one of the last places destroyed during the outbreak. Also TWD outbreak hits states not all at the same time in perfect order. New Mexico is less populated and not as big of a place for an outbreak so it could have taken until 2011 for the outbreak to take over it.

i'd love to see an episode where rick never killed shane and just sent him away like he did with carol at the prison. later on for the negan lineup instead of negan, it's shane. that'd be such an interesting episode to explore, seeing everyone's reactions, especially shane seeing carl missing an eye and lori nowhere to be found

Thinking of the real time attack one for a moment idk if it’s just me but I love shows that have the main character(s) off in the background doing stuff so having it be a random and seeing the main characters doing badass things but not focusing on it would be awesome
Another Tales episode might be the comics taking place in Spain or China. While yes, we get a spin-off in France, European and Asian viewers have next to no content about the twd-universe in their own regions.
Imagine an old man carl with like Daryls jacket, Michonnes sword, Ricks gun, Ricks hat, and Carols knife, that would be awsome.

Georgie driving on highway and just deteriorating on screen from Teddy's Nuclear weapon. Or maybe we find out that Reapers targeted Maggie's group connecting it back to Georgie.

I would love an episode going through the pov of a random walker. Start with life before they turn, how they get bit, the moments of the turn, follow their pov in broken snippets as they eat a deer, a person, they follow a noise through the woods. End with them being unceremoniously put down by a random TWD character. Could be someone big like Gabriel or Carol, could be random Hilltop survivor #30. Then the next episode could be that person's day in the life and it ends with them killing this last walker.

I think it would be great to show the stories of particular walkers and tell the stories of how they became walkers. They could have a whole series with multiple seasons. We could see how the walker got into the well on Hershel's farm and learn a little about who he was before he turned. Just take any note worthy walker from the series and give them an interesting backstory.
I would love an episode following the Military *after* Operation Cobalt. What took them from that, to the CRM, Commonwealth (or unknown faction) and how long did it take?

I would love an episode about the fall of the Sanctuary. We were never told what happened to the Sanctuary after Rick´s "death"
The webisodes like cold storage, flight 462 and dead in the water were great plots that somehow connects to the main shows. I wish amc do more tales episodes that connects to other known characters.

I think an episode where it would be like “What if Rick woke up, but never found the group or his family” would be a really interesting episode, we see how Rick interacts with everything the same way in episode one, getting a concussion but meeting Morgan and his son, heading to Atlanta, and getting surrounded in a tank, yeah you could say oh he’s dead but that’s no fun, having someone else save him like maybe the military commander of the unit that the tank belongs to save him from one of the rooftops and then a journey to try and find ricks family, but also to get back to the commanders base to relay the situation in Atlanta would be cool, there would be so much to play with and experiment with and it would be pretty cool, I actually already created a 30 page version of what an episode like this could look like and I’m still working on it, let me know what are y’all thoughts on this!
I would love to see Clem at the school coming across Maggie and Georgie. On Maggies trip she Comes across Violet or Louis on a routein track to check perimeters or nearby roads and Clem meets with Maggie. They get put on the map for trade and things like that and the school becomes a beacon for lost kids of the apocalypse to get a fresh start. The school becomes a real community and they have protection from whatever Georgie and Maggie were doing. Itd be a fun way to add unto Clems happy ending :]
Do you guys remember that walker that wears a purple shirt that was sitting on a burned bus? It will be interesting to see the origin of that walker. They did one for the half bodied walker that rick encounters after waking in a hospital.

I’ve always thought it’d be kinda impossible but interesting to get a story where they can make a cure that fully heals walkers back to human state so we have to see our characters deal with the loss and pain knowing that some of them could’ve always been saved instead

The No.1 thing I've wanted to see out of the walking dead universe is the aftermath of the dam explosion in FearTWD. I started watching TWD Franchise when the main show had finished series 7 and Fear was halfway through series 3, so the first thing I watched on release was Fear series 3B. I always loved Fear for being unique and the story and characters had true depth and meaning. Finishing series 3 with the huge dam explosion and the cliff hanger of not knowing if characters had survived and them all being separated was probably the greatest ending to a season in the whole of TWD franchise. Then obviously the heads at AMC wanted to capture some of the audience from TWD (Which didn't work) by completely changing the story and setting. They got in these new showrunners whom clearly wanted their own show and destroyed what Fear stood for and ripped all the soul out of it. Morgan was brought over, which clearly Lennie James wasn't too thrilled about at the time, in a bid to get people watching, when ultimately the product they wanted them to watch had been transformed into a mindless soulless cash-grab.
For that carl episode you could have it be set in the comic universe before little andrea is born but after rick is killed

They should make Tales from The Walking Dead more of an unofficial spin-off where they could goof with the series a little more than in their dozen other series, like they could adapt The Governor’s story from the books or The Walking Dead 3000 or (my personal favorite) Telltale’s The Walking Dead but all into live action without it screwing with any other Walking Dead series, perhaps they could instead of dedicating one episode, dedicate a whole season to some stories or a part of a season, and they could even do a sort of “What if The Walking Dead” like lots of others have mentioned, that would honestly grab way more attention than they have been.

Id love to see Clem show up in live action, if it was gonna be a more one off style like Tales id want the episode to follow a Teenaged girl showing the hardships of trying to survive in the world, after she throws in with a new group and travels with them a short while, one of the other survivors reaches out to her offering her a canteen and asking her name, and the episode ends with "I'm Clementine"
The episode starts with carl wandering through the world he goes to twd landmarks when there is flashbacks to see what happened to the charcters in the story there are lots of flashbacks it shows how carl went from a happy man who is married with enid and have kids to a man that is wandering the world when he was overwhelmed with all the grief he leaves alexandria and thats pretty much it maybe it would be cool (i had a really long comment but accidently destroyed it the comment went in great detail very sad)

For the Clementine episode I think the best place to start would likely be when she’s older, likely pre-Season 4 while she’s trying to care for AJ. It can be a simple episode of Clementine and AJ possibly exploring a ruined building to scavenge for supplies while Clem is trying to teach him tricks and tips on how to stay alive. It may draw some Last of Us comparisons, but I think it can still differentiate itself with young children in survival situations.
For the Carl episode, I think the easiest way to do it is to adapt the very last issue of the Walking Dead, issue #193. It features an older Carl in an environment where the apocalypse had past long enough for zombies to become a rarity. The story of the issue involves Carl killing a loose zombie and having to be put on trial for the “destruction of private property” as the zombie belonged to a traveling carnival. It then features Carl traveling around to meet old friends and show just how much things have changed since the zombie outbreak and ends on an optimistic note as he reads the story of Rick to his daughter.
I want to see backstories for some of the zombies we've seen over the years, We saw bike zombie's backstory in a short years ago and I want to see more of that. These could include:
-The soldier zombie in the tank where Rick hides in season 1
-The Zombie with the "Erin" necklace. This one has plagued me for years. Because of that sign not long before that seems be from a group talking to Erin then later we see "Erin" allegedly as a zombie.
-The Pine Vista country club zombies from season 4. Like the one with the "Rich Bitch" sign over her. I want to see who did that.
With the clementine idea they could start the story in season 2 of the telltales series and use flashbacks from season 1
Just finished the Telltale games and, with better writing, I think it could definitely be adapted into a compelling Clementine series or special.
I was even thinking that a Bandersnatch-esque special, where we still get to make some of the decisions, would be amazing. It would obviously just be something like a 4-part special on Netflix, but still pretty dope.
I hope we can get a couple episodes showing Negan arriving at the sanctuary and his takeover of it with Simon
