    Actually TCM stands for TTL Convert To Manual. You take a shot in ttl and convert it to manual. Very useful. A feature of GODOX units for several years now. There are videos on youtube which go over and correctly explain this.

    Hi Brandon; this video inspired me to buy this trigger. I ordered from Adorama and received a defective one so I returned and re-purchased it. The second one worked and I was able to pair with my xplor 300 light, but it doesn't trigger it. it seems that TTL is not working even though I confirmed my camera setting are correct. I'm not sure I will purchase a third one.

    Man, thank you for this!! I have it and like always, I'm trying to figure it out on my own first before looking at any manual. This one I couldn't figure out, I did figure out how to change the language and channels and some other aspects of it but not the whole shabang. So, thanks again. I now have full understanding. Also, Man everytime I wear my BLACK hat from you, I get major compliments and have ordered a couple more for folks interested. I need to be a reseller or something because I'm about to go to your site and order two more tonight!! Much love Brother!

    Probably my biggest request will be if you can double tap a channel to quickly turn it off or on with the same settings. Can you test and see if there is a double tap or maybe long press to do that?
    Also curious about general battery life

    • @BrandonColePhotography
      @BrandonColePhotography  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You cannot double tap to turn on and off a group. and the battery life last for days. I've played with it and had it on for like 6 days and its only dropped 1 bar.

    I have to compensate +2+3 to have the correct exposure in TTL. I came from nikon all my life, now I have Sony and this is my only complaint at the moment. I have godox V1, trigger xpro S and both Sony A7lV and A7RV.

      With the trigger not mounted to the camera, does it fire the flashes by just pressing the test button?

      @BrandonColePhotography Yes! But on my Sony A7IV if I change the shutter speed....the exposure on the camera screen does not change...it will fire like this. If I am able to get the exposure to change on screen....then the flash will not fire. I've tried with several flashpoint flashes and cannot figure this one out. Great video by the way!

    • @rexhoss
      @rexhoss 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Probably a silly question but did you purchase the right model for Sony cameras? It should have an S in the name. Nikon has N and Canon version has a C. Otherwise, maybe you have the channel ID enabled. So for example of you're using channel 6, and an ID number, the flash has to be set the same

    • @noelty
      @noelty 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@rexhoss , I have the trigger and the lens set for the same camera and group. Someone suggested customizing a button for shot preview results, which works, but....if I switch from custom setting 2 on the camera dial to custom setting 1, it will not fire at all. My camera brackets three exposures in silent mode on setting 2 and a single exposure with the mechanical shutter in setting 1. I do this so the flash will not fire in setting 2 and the flash will fire in setting 1. If I turn the camera on in setting 1, it fires...but I have to use the "shot preview result" custom button to see the exposure. Once I switch to setting 2 and then back to setting 1 it does not fire at all. Never had this issue with any of these triggers. And yes, it is a Sony trigger.

    I wish we had the opportunity to use that usb-c port to activate the trigger. It would be great to have a legitimate flash trigger for mobile phones. Years ago Anker had a wired cube flash through the lightning port. That was the best flash to date for mobile photographers. This trigger could open a whole new market. Godox/Flashpoint could be on to something here. Just take it to the next level! ;)

    • @BrandonColePhotography

      @@BrandonColePhotography Profoto has a flash that uses bluetooth to trigger the flash. The sync seems off to me. Plus, it's over $2k.
      Being hardwired seems like the way to go. The trigger is hardwired through the hot shoe on regular cameras. Since phones are going usb-c, this could give mobile shooters a usable flash. We aren't going to compare to pro shooters but, I could see a lot of times where a couple of ad200's and a mobile phone would be awesome.
