Helpful video. When you're using 4 lights do you find it's a negative that you can't see the 4th light setting on the screen at a glance since it only shows 3 on the screen?

I know you stated it can switch from manual to TTL mode but, will it convert TTL reading to the equivalent manual power setting like the older triggers can?

That's a great question. No, it does not.

@@Donny_B do you think a firmware update could add that and if so do you have an idea of when that might take place?

@toddstrong1353 I don't see why they couldn't. I'll send an email and see if they have any info. Not sure if they'll reply, but no harm in asking.
I totally get why you want it. That's how I've always set my levels with previous triggers. Go to TTL and get the power level and then switch to manual. But honestly, I learned rather quickly what and when the power level I need. Just took a little practice. Either way, it would be a good feature to add.
If they reply to me you will be the first one to know about it.
Also, I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!

@@Donny_B You're more than welcome, thanks for taking the time to reply. I currently have the R2 Pro II. I like it but it's a bit bulky relative to the Nano so I'm interested. Thanks for the informative review.

I'm confused by the response you got. Surely the TCM function of the X3 trigger does what you asked, namely convert the TTL setting to a manual power setting.

Not surprised TCM is glossed over. Godox's implementation of it has gone downhill since the XPro.

TCM is available. From what I can tell only Godox and Profoto are the only ones that offer it. FStoppers just did a really good video series on both on camera and off camera flash. It's worth watching and Godox performed extremely well. Even beating Profoto in color accuracy and range. Flash duration went to the Profoto at full power but at lower settings the godox was at the top.

@@Donny_B I know TCM is available. The Xpro had a dedicated TCM button, but the XPro II and Nano make you select in the Settings menu the type of flash you want to use with TCM first. Not a deal breaker, but I think it's more cumbersome than it needs to be.
