    Brilliant out of the pack picking! you had more hassle finding a tension tool than picking!
    nicely done....

    Nice picking bud! That looks like a good lock for use in the weather and places where the lock will get beat around. Keep on picking!

    Thanks; nicely picked. Those features buy time by making tensioning and accessing the keyway awkward, if an attacker doesn't have the correct tools for the job. That makes it more interesting. It would be useful to know how robust it really is, if attacked with the tools which the average crook would use.

      I agree, but also, I don’t want to show real criminal techniques here (which may sound a little ironic, but you know what I mean!)

      The shackle diameter doesn't seem so impressive once the lock is opened and the thickness of the material that covers the shackle is revealed (5:22). The lock body itself must be smaller than it looks, too, which again makes it less robust. And this of course means that cutting or prying operations would be easier to carry out than they would be compared to attacking a similar-sized lock made entirely of steel. On the other hand, the shroud surely makes accessing the shackle more difficult, and the covering that makes the lock look beefier might discourage some thieves, who, after all, will seldom take the time to engage in a careful lock inspection. So, good and bad... Perhaps they really were accurate when they self-rated their lock a 5 out of 10!

    Great picking buddy. You make it look so easy. I know if I keep at this, I will get close to your level of skill, eventually. I started with SPP, and am now more fond raking, just because it is so quick on most of the locks I encounter. With SPP, my mind kind of sees the inside of the lock. With raking, zipping, random pin picking, it's more of a surprise opening. Thanks again for the inspiration.

      William Mancel an open is an open and the most important thing is that you enjoy it :-) I need to get better at raking... I think I spp too much that I've lost my raking skills!

      Never happen that you loose your raking skills buddy. I've watched you work on locks too many hours to believe that. You, Bosnian Bill, and the Lock Picking Lawyer, are my original TH-cam mentors. I've picked up a few more through the UKLS board. 😀 I learned SPP, the hard way, books, and practice. No video, and no one to explain the simple things. Then I gave it up for decades, and now I realize, I was just lucky before. I still have so much to learn, but it really does make me happy when I open a lock without a key. I just wish I would have stayed with it when I was younger. They better have good locks on my coffin. I plan on having my kit with me, for the greatest pick of all. 😂

      William Mancel lol, I love the idea of someone cheating the grim reaper buy lockpicking their way out of the coffin :-)

    Quite a beast :)...I mean the blister package haha ;D. No serious, it looks like a well made lock, but there is a lot of rubber involved ;). The shackle is well protected, the guard is aluminum, you can take the bottom off btw ;). Very nice out of the package pick Lock Noob, that is always very challenging :D.

      @LockNoob  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      redcatimaging thanks Foxxy :-) I didn't know the shackle shield was aluminium :-)

      Well I watched LPLs video too ;), he said it hehe. Steel would probably be too heavy just on the top. Anyway nice looking lock :).

    Very cool lock! I also hate blister packaging; but I've had some decent luck with using a can opener (the manual, hand crank style). As long as I use my better one that gets a good bite and grip on it, I can sometimes manage to get an entire side open!
