"it needs to sound like a bedroom producer who doesn't really know what they're doing"
alright I'm a little offended but i got that down
Why are you offended by the truth?
What if I'm a bedroom producer AND I know what I'm doing?
Finally I can become 101 gecs
HAHAHhAKJSHDGHSJAKasj
but first u must start at being 1 gec ;) climbin the gec ranks

I’ve never heard of glitchcore before but I’m kinda interested in it now ngl. Anyway, nice video, Jayd! :)
a aa thank you so so much friend ! !!! it's honestly such a fun genre ! ! i'd super recommend checking it out ! !!!
Lol comment about the sad lyrics was on point. Glitchcore is just made by emo kids who are now in their twenties and wore out all their midwest and skramz vinyls
@@jayvondiedlol8317 i think most the fans are for sure, but i get the feeling that all the big people making the music are the people who in the early 2010s had a telecaster or an SG gibson and a Marshall amp and maybe like a chorus pedal or a reverb lying around, and they had a lot of fun noodling around in their bedrooms, but their emo revival project on bandcamp never really took off and so they decided to just do some crazy stuff syncretizing all the 2000s music they listened to as a kid.
@@WarhawkLieutenent the biggest hyperpop artists are literal teenagers lmao glaive & osquinn are 15
@@tyhuff9576 never heard of them
@@WarhawkLieutenent so then which artists were you referring to in ur original comment?
@@tyhuff9576 In terms of making a sincere broader point, none. I was merely making a (humorously) hyperspecific observation about 100 Gecs and Glitchgum as someone from outside the scene looking in. They're some of the more well known artists and they 100% have confirmed emo/skramz influences.
2:46 not me sitting in my bedroom trying to figure out how to make hyperpop.
I would love to make a glitchcore song. However,,,,,, I only have garage band on my iPad 😎
Pirate fl studio mobile
Fl studio mobile 3 specifically
soundcloud.app.goo.gl/QpqGEZ5ikJ8tKWfW6 I use GarageBand on iPad :) it’s my first “hyperpop” song lol
@@xaotixx omg what sounds do you use
im working with GarageBand too!, I usually use sample piano as sort of a base to get started because you can pretty much add your own stuff to it, and it helps a lot that there’s a note editor feature. i don’t know any good drum options tho cause the drum loop thing kinda sucks unless you take it into note editor.
@@_dollyllama_1719 for drums in garageband I would suggest downloading drum one shots from the internet and then putting them in the sampler
there are elements of the genre i don't like, BUT there are also those rare songs i come across that i absolutely love. i prefer a more ethereal sound, so i wanted to see how these songs are made. what parts i like and don't like. stuff like that.
thanks for this video !! ♡
listen to take me back by lostrushi, I'd describe him as ethereal/gothic rap with hyperpop elements
Ayesha Erotica is literally my inspiration. She helped mix, write, and produce almost off of Slayyyter’s and That Kid’s popular discography she is literally the blueprint of modern/newer hyper pop (I’m not arguing with Charli XCX stans) and I want to pay homage to her with my music and maybe hopefully she comes back so she we can collab
Exactly
Youre right you shouldnt argue with charli stans cause theyre right lmao and i dont even LIKE her
lmfao shes literally racist but ok
@@Autumn_moon1290 not only is ayesha racist her music straight ASS bro
@@Autumn_moon1290 where did you hear that lol
The song you made kinda slaps tho- like I would listen to it on repeat
a aa thank you bunches friend ! !! the final product is on spotify, so you should be able to listen to it all you want ! !! it's linked in the description ! !!
ayo i’m making a spotify playlist with a bunch of hyperpop music in it
what’s it called
"Bittersweet, like that chocolate nobody likes." Wow, the weather under a rock looks pleasant!
Nice tutorial, might give it a try sometime. I have some Mars Volta inspired lyrics jumbling around my head I could mumble into a mic. Sounds like fun, honestly!
“The hihat needs to sound like a Broken sprinkler”
using xfer OTT inside ableton is one of the most "FL studio brain washed me" things ive ever seen (i also used to do this so much 😭)
Why does this video feel like something from the late 2000s?
The fan probably lmao
his hair probably
adding some broadside into this was really the cherry on top of the cake 🍰
imma try to make a beat from my phone 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 wish me luck
If your not using FL studio mobile i would suggest getting it
this is my first time watching this channel and somehow i previously subscribed to it. turns out i commented on one of your scribblenauts videos from 7 years ago lmfao...
that's so surreal omg , ,, thank you so much for the continued support though friend !! ! ! 💖🌟💖🌟🌟
theres no way any of this will enter my tiny peanut brain but i appreciate this video thank yo u
this is , ,, the funniest comment ever ajfkfk , ,, i'm so glad i was able to help at least a little though !! ! 💖🌟💖🌟

audio engineering: am I a joke to you?
i wanna make a hyperpop song based off my mental issues and my selective mutism stuff!! >:3 lets goa
YO ACTUALLY DO IT 🥺
What is selective mutism is that just an excuse to be socially awkward and not talk
@@DonChodle no its not, go search it up
@@DonChodle selective mutism happens in a variety of adults and people alike but the first thing that came to mind for me was autistic selective mutism. Often times coordinating speech can be very difficult and ability to coordinate said speech will depend on how overwhelmed and overstimulated the person might be. One minute they could be speaking just fine but the next they could be struggling to get a word out and be stuttering to have their brain and mouth connect to make words. There’s other factors too such as anxiety or other mental health issues. I can’t remember too much off the top of my head so it’d be best to do research. Hope this helps!
DO ITTTT
I screamed when he said "That Kidd" Dial Tone!!!!!! YESS I FCKIN LOVE THAT SONG
kicks in serum are pretty easy. Generic Sin wave, Coarse to -64 and use the 2nd envelope to bring it back to whatever point sounds good to you and play in c1/-2 octave.
Closest thing to hyperpop that I enjoy is Michael Jackson's "Heartbreaker"
no way i met u on omegle
Autotune isn't required, harmonising and a nice Mix can do the trick ad well If U have a nice voice, for example glaive. Even tho very cool Video dude
Glaive goes so hard
FINALLY I KNOW HOW TO MAKE HYPERPOP !!! TY FRIENDF !!
Big Nardwuar energy bro
Lmao maybe if nardwuar was an anime loving emo living in 2005
you hit the nail LMAO
im just wathing it to be swag like ayesha ero
THIS SOUNDS SO GOOD
Finally I can make a hyperpop song about lean
Please someone make Hypermetal or Hyperpunk a thing.
Try out nascar aloe, the track 'degenerate fuck' is funky and punky
I was literally just thinking about this a few minutes ago - how could one mix the two? Like how would that work, that’s what I wanna know.
@Ryderdye so it is certainly within the realm of possibility. I feel like it totally already exists it’s just hidden. I mean Igorrr hits the electrical vibes but they’re something different.
@Ryderdye I listened to it, and it is really good, but I was thinking more of the combination of hardcore punk of death metal with Hyperpop. This was more just pop punk with a vocal shifter on it.
dynastic's most recent track has metalcore vibes th-cam.com/video/3snL7fShLOY/w-d-xo.html
nailed it on the head dude! this is pretty much a lot of glitchcore hyperpop on sc! however to be a great hyperpop glitchcore artist i think individuality is pretty much key haha
yo for novagang drumkits, hella other drumkits, hella vocal presets like osquinn, lieu, kurtains, saturn, dolly and more @shibapluggin hmu hmu
if anyone is looking for a bunch of hyperpop... the label Halcyon released their second "halcyon sound" compilation. the first comp was focused on future riddim but the second comp is all hyperpop. artists like grape milk, oolacile, qwaston, NUU$HI (who made J-Hyperpop), and a few others are on this comp.
THIS IS HOW I IMAGINE CONTROLLER KID TO SOUND LIKE!!!
I wasn't expecting Broadside lyrics but holy shit they do fit LMAOOO
Great video btw!
On my way to become the 101st gec 😜
That kids dial tone is literally my favorite song 😩😭
THAT KID ATE
"Lately all i wanna do is lay around with you" - this is 'broadside' by coffee talk
produces in ableton
still downloads xfer OTT plugin

you forgor power chords, use a super saw and follow a 1, 6 pattern (use other chords as well) and layer the root note up and down an octave. but this is still hyper pop, its just like the first version of it, people changed it up alot when it got into others hands
love this song lmao
This man really dissected and but back together break core into a 7 minute video-
I wanna make my own but I have 0 music knowledge and with the power of GarageBand I will birth c h a o s
lmfao same heree. chaos babies.
Think I found a a new genre to obsess over and possibly produce...
awesome tutorial!! i made my ableton pink too xD
okay im sorry, can someone recommend me some good beat making apps for free? (doesnt matter if its on pc or mobile) thanks
Fl studio 12 is probally the most popular PC app for this but its super good if your willing to buy it
there are many different daws to use. depends on the system you use
i use reaper it's free and really good, there's an option to buy the software but u can just keep pressing the "still evaluating" button and you can still use it free of charge
if you use IOS, Garageband is the way go. I am a Windows user so i chose Reaper.
this song slaps,
once i figure out how to get ableton's keyboard to actually open i will have to attempt it lol
I miss sophie :(
