What genre should I learn next? 🤔
Hey ed talenti, you should try making a kpop type beat, its kinda complicated but ik you'd slay it
Drum n bass
Produce an Ethnic/arabic beat or sample an old middle eastern song for a beat
Metal
Dance hall, Latin, Caribbean, Reggae type genres
more hyperpop! so interesting to me lol. great video Ed!
Agreed
Thanks brotha! 🤩
You’re a legend homie
SOOOOOO FIIIRE
yo wt frick its simon wow cool wow cool
Simon hates trap SOOOO much
I can't imagine how the 808s are going to sound if Simon made some hyperpop😂
Fancy seeing you here😂🔥
music from simoservimusicsandboys
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how amazing it is that he plays those hi-hats on a keyboard? Amazing.
Yeah, ain't as easy as it looks to make certain types of drum rolls
Yes 🙌🏾 indeed cus it’s not easy
Its actually not that hard, since the hi-hats will never be out of tune its gonna be easier to play in a midi keyboard.
You just need your idea written in your head and there you go!
You should turn this into a series where you try different genres you've never produced before. I'd love to see your take on afrobeat/dancehall
Great idea!
🤯✨🤯✨🤯✨
So, I gotta tell you; I am an assistant general manager of a medical cannabis dispensary here in Illinois. It's part of my job to keep morale up. There are many days that I use your quote as a mantra: "Be positive, and positive things will happen." - Ed Talenti. This simple quote seems to reverberate amongst my team and get them through tough times. Namaste. Thank you for that. Also, you keep me inspired to continue making music. Even when I know there are millions of people out there doing the same thing. My sound is unique. Thank you for that as well.
hyperpop is such a diverse genre it's really hard to pinpoint a certain theme to it. Loved the video !
fumo fumo
Ed:
Takes a matchstick
Touches his hat
Smiles
Lights it up
" AAAYYYYEEEEEE" "THATS FIRE"
Lol
hahahahahah
Lol
you know the genre going mainstream when yt producers starts to make tutorials
Lmao, Ed trying to grasp and process hyperpop is so funny
Right and the fact that the beat came out fire 🔥 on his first time is amazing
Still kinda don’t get it but that’s what’s fun haha
@@EdTalenti where can I buy this!!!??!?!
I'm you but stronger
my guy really pulled up ecco2k lmaooo, all respect
Man - this was a lot of fun to watch. As a fellow content creator I loved your video editing too and your split screen diagonal was awesome. And that introductory melody you crafted was realllllly dope
At least Ed actually made a hyperpop beat not like other "trap" producers who made a lil uzi type beat and call it hYpERpop 🥴
Facts
thats bc theres a production team with the name "hyperpop" that produces for uzi
lol true
Bro doesn’t even know who hyperpop and what hyperpop is😭
umm, this literally is uzi vert trap beat yall should get your ears checked
i'm so glad to see ed take on hyper pop, its so hard to find good production content on the subject
You missed anything by Sophie RIP, she is the true pioneer of the sound and PC music.
RIP SOPHIE ❤️

lol i love seeing you react positively to some of my favorite songs; it makes me feel like my taste in music is valid
At the start of the video I thought hyperpop sounded bad but damn
Hyperpop really grew on me
THIS IS FIRE
Brakence
The first beat is actually alot more hyperpop than alot of tutorials IV seen lol
I also bought that midi pack,
It's really good especially with the hyperpop and guitar melodies
THAT MELODY IS INSANE
I love how it's like a vlog and also cooking up beats production levels is top tier
you look like you have so much fun when you make beats, the vibe is insane!!
Hyperpop is the crack of this generation
honestly✨
Really love your videos, keep on grindin
THIS IS ACTUALLY SO FIRE!!!! The only thing i'd say is work on the 808 sound and make the chords less trappy and more pop punk-y, if that makes sense?
brakence, glaive, xix, and ericdoa have a more glitchcore style approach to hyperpop, would love to see you attempt something like their style
Miss the rage is kinda hyperpop, and Quadeca's "From me to you" album is somewhat Hyperpop-esque, especially smiling at the ground. Yungbluds entire sound, especially songs like Lemonade fit into the genre, and I actually think Gorillaz Saturn's Bars is some early hyperpop.
This is the straightest, most heterosexual, most vanilla rendition of hyperpop I’ve ever heard.
THIS
THIS
LMAO TRUEEE
I respect your grind so much Ed, keep it up brother!
Yea he’s getting better and better
Love this video! I was just thinking about this genre.
Man this is crazy! U r one of the producers that really inspired me! I'm more into NLE Choppa beats (that's why I make them) but this is sick! congrats ed
yeah he makes crazy beats
I love his flute beats
💯
You slid on this. Ngl I wasn’t expecting to enjoy that beat as much as I did
Glad you made something in one of my favorite genres
He did great especially for his first time
Aweome video... Enjoyed from top to bottom 💯🎶
Me makes hyperpop sound like 100gecs spite never making it before, I feel you there Ed! I did this a month or so ago and it was a banger
wow sounds so beautiful, ive never heard this, im in love
that distorted 808 at the start tho
Ed can never miss boys... Even in his first time
Facts 💯
🙏
That is an intense style. Genre bending beyond belief.
This sounded awesome, you should do more of this. You should definitely check out more hyperpop artists (some of my favorite: glaive, brakence, ericdoa).
forgot lieu
You gotta check out brakence and glaive. Feel like they're pretty representative of the direction the genre's leaning a bit recently.
I'm not super into how tame and depressed they sound, I prefer the manic energy of artists like Sophie and Gecs.
@@richardaversa7128 either way they’re still defining a major part of the genre tho, not to mention the sides of the genre more like p4rkr/osquinn, class shift, numl6ck, and mitsu etc. it’s just a very multi faceted genre that doesn’t confine itself to one specific sound
tho to also agree with you, i wouldn’t necessarily say brakence is hyperpop, recently more punk but all of his music from a few years ago is far from it in my opinion
@@FullMentalHarmony Brakence certainly does NOT match the sound of the initial wave of hyperpop (SOPHIE, gecs, Charli XCX) but I also think that "hyperpop" as a whole is becoming a massively broad term that encompasses a lot of music. At this point, at least to me, I see it as intense / experimental pop with heavy electronic and hip hop influences, but there's also some cutesy chiptune influenced stuff that makes up the softer end of the spectrum (Aldn comes to mind). brakence DEFINITELY leans into the intensity and heaviness on a lot of his tracks with bass and screamed vocals that just takes it up a notch compared to typical pop artists.
By far, the best beat you have ever made! And the best beat any TH-camr has made so far!!! Ed, music is on your blood!
He’s been getting better and better
🙏🤩
Im sure this can be mixed with modern metal and will sound incredible
I love your videos man! Especially the look on your face when you make music.
Hey Ed You’re amazing and my inspiration 💪❤️
You're clean w those hi hats, especially those sweeps.
love ed's face when recording the 808 XDD
Fire use of the MIDI Kit bro 🔥
Facts 💯 beat came out fire 🔥
That melody is so fuckin carti-ish, really loved the cookup G
Great video Brother -- The Beat came out FIREEEEE
so fireeee!!
Would have never expected Ed to cover Hyperpop 🤣🤣
that was fire shit! lol I never heard hyperpop before and tbh I thought this would be some mellow shit like bedroom pop but dang, it was something else hahaha
Ed fucking nailed it in a day 🤦♀️
Next episode : 24h to make Trap Metal 💪
love this genre of beats
"Lets bring the melody back but get rid of the chords"
*5 seconds later*
"alright we need chords"
This is insaaaane. Just found out what this was haha. I hate that I really like HyperPop now. Sounded like a joke at first. But the distortion and groove is so sick
GOD THOSE 808's XDDD
Awesome as always Ed!
When you’re trying to make stuff sound bad but you’re Ed Talenti
Hyperpop?! Learning new genres everyday 😂 this sounds so dope 🙌🏾🔥🔥
yes, sugarcrash “defines” hyperpop
so fuck glaive, ericdoa, osquinn, dollywood, kuru, david shawty, angelus, literally the lost goes on but fuck them am i right:/
Yes
gec
After a year everthing will be named 👉future liquid hyper modern trap drum drill bass pop. Great video as always, dope drums 🔥✌
Futuristic Drum n Pop
It's cyclical, like in the 90s electric genres got really specific and weird, then they got more general, then they got specific again
Lol yep just a mashup of all genres
the fact u played that hihat pattern on ur midi was insane
Love it bro love the hyperpop community
Blazin amazin... Youre a Genius... I'm into soul and rnb but you make me think about doin some hyperpop too haha...
my ears are busted and pop out I didn't hear my own voice
Never heard hyper pop before this but checked out those 3 songs. Not tryna diss but seems like the type of music that will age like bread
Getting a headache of the 808, but it funny to hear a hole different genre. You did a great job.
did i just see this man play hi hats perfectly on a keyboard
Not the “Unlock It” TikTok mash-up 😭 lmao
It’s my curiosity make me wanna watch this video
Who is that beautiful man at 1:55 🤌😳
I think he is very segway
